2,4 “Avoid this hotel. ”
Take my advice. Avoid this hotel at all cost. The female staff member at check-in was unbelievably rude for no reason. She was rude from the moment we walked in the door of the hotel. When you arrive at a hotel you expect a smile and a welcome, not the feeling that you are disturbing their day. This lady went out of her way to be rude. This was not a lack of politeness, this was directed and intentional rudeness. I have no explanation for it. There was no locks on the windows facing the street, from the balcony below anyone could just climb into our room if they wanted to. Unbelievable. We paid for an extra bed in advance - we asked 3 times for it to be placed in the room. Finally we got house keeping to fix it. But there was no sheets. They just opened the sofa and thought that was acceptable. I had to call reception and ask them to arrange sheets and linen for the extra bed - the response I got was - fix it yourself - contact house keeping. I had called reception since house keeping wasn't doing it. Finally I got us changed to a different room and the bed was arranged. It's just a shame it takes anger to get it done. Reception didn't answer the phone either. I left the phone ringing and caught the elevator down stairs to see 6 staff members chatting. No smiling, no welcome, all just staring at me with contempt, like I am disturbing them. No one answering the phone. Unbelievable. When we finally arrived back from dinner in the evening - we were told our key had to be reactivated as they had deactivated it, why? I had traveled 1500km from Nepal overland with two of my staff, we were in Delhi to pickup a petrol generator from a supplier whose office is close to hotel Vikram. That is the only reason we decided to stay there and booked at the last minute - we wanted to avoid the traffic while travelling to their office. Luckily now we have found a better hotel in the area.
