Value for money, and an excellent place to stay”
Our stay at Indeco Lake Forest hotel was excellent and relaxing. Except for the problems with the wi-fi not being available (even in the restaurant area), the rest of the services, and facilities were perfectly managed. The breakfast as well as the ala carte menu items of the restaurant were exceptional. The staff is very helpful and friendly. It is difficult to point out any problems or areas for improvement, as the hotel is managed impeccably.
Very good resort”
Nice resort set amidst coffee plantations. Has good ambience with spacious suite. Has a decent breakfast spread and staff are ready to be of assistance. Nice place to stay put and enjoy the weather and the resort.
Excellent place for family !”
It was a memorable stay for us, where we had very good family time with good food. Staffs were very nice, every day movie on the outer corridor, with Hot pizza on request was splendid ! Breakfast buffet was ultimate with plenty of choices ! Very good overall & Keep up the services !
Awesome place to blend with nature”
Highlights. 1. Location is perfect, tall trees, flowers and coffee plants 2. Landscaping is very good, they have build those Bungalows around the trees. 3. Lot of care as been taken to preserve the beauty and tranquility of the place. 4. Friendly and polite staff. 5. Its walkable distance from Yercaud lake and town. 6. Restaurant is good and they make fresh firewood Pizza. Not excellent but its good for a place like this. 7. Breakfast is good and restaurant ambience is good. 8. Lot of antique furniture from olden days. 9. Rooms are pretty spacious (Bungalow Suites) with a king size bed and a single bed at one corner of the room Things to improve. 1. The villas and bungalows are no way luxury. Facilities are pretty basic. Some missing essentials. eg. No kettle 2. Toilets though clean are old. You might see leaking pipes. Toilets really need to be upgraded, not up to standard. 3. Housekeeping is not great, in fact it's below average. There is dust and cobwebs in lot of places.
Great experience - stay in coffee estate”
It was a nice experience to stay amid coffee plantation. Resort is beautiful, staff is helpful, food is decent and good overall value for money. It took a day to get acclimatize - should have stayed little longer. For improvement - wish rooms were little more ventilated as due to cold and humid weather it was having little smell of mold/fungus - it improved next day as we kept the doors/windows open.
Property location is good. Priced higher for what it offers. Staff service should improve.”
Good: Location of property Property building Clean property Safe property Bad: Food variety Staff service is slow and many times not available. No one to clean lunch plates from room Slightly priced higher for what it offers
Had a good experience”
We went as a group of friends and family in the month of Aug'18, we stayed for a night. The best thing is the location of the resort. It is very close to the lake at a walkable distance. Resort is full of greenary, well maintained. Food is also very good, especially mutton curry, chicken, phulkas, dal fry, woodfire pizzas. Over all, we enjoyed the stay, nice place to explore. Only thing need to be considered is the rooms. Rooms need extra care, as the property is very old. Otherwise, everything is absolutely fine.
- The ambiance is excellent, to chill out and detox your brain from daily hustul-bustul of city life. Hospitality and Services are excellent. - Food Cost is on higher side (considering the quantity being served). - Also, house keeping staff needs to inform guests before performing house keeping tasks, (in our case, our room was locked and they entered room with alternate key, for cleaning without informing us).
Very close to lake. Great property - rooms are in the middle of plantation. There is greenery in every direction. Rooms are designed and built in a such way that it truly reflects a heritage property. Helpful, friendly staff. Not a very big spread of food items, but tasty and hygienic. While it is understandable that it is positioned as a heritage property, the bathrooms definitely need to be better maintained/upgraded as there was a constant damp smell.
Go back in time”
The photos won't do justice to the place. Incredible beauty which takes you back in 1800s. If you are fan of vintage furniture and time - please visit this place. The food is good, pizzas are excellent. The property is in coffee plantation so there's a lot greenery and birds chirping. Beautiful stay!
Great place of stay...!!!”
warm and rustic with an old world charm and added to it some sumptuous food. Well maintained rooms, each with its own decors and layout. It's a place which takes you back in time. Set among tall silver oak trees and coffee plants, you feel right in the middle of the Forest. Overall a very good stay.
Excellent place and location.”
The resort is so beautiful and you will feel like surrounded with nature and full of forest. The staff were so kind and helpful. Each room will be so unique and it has its own quiet place to spend time. Early morning you will feel the different sounds of birds and insects which gives an immense pleasure if you are a nature lover. They food costs bit high here and they charge if they do room service, the breakfast (includes in room) was so good. The special thing about this restuarant is their fresh live pizza which you should try out. Overall good place to spend your vacation, I will definetely book again here.
Our stay at Yercaud”
Our stay was pleasant with minor downs. It was our wedding anniversary on 22 Oct. Food was good. B'fast selection was good both mornings. Staffs were pleasant and helpful. My wife wasn't very pleased with our stay though. 1)Room floor wasn't very clean with stains. 2)Hot water got cold too fast. By the time second person get into shower, water is cold already. 3)Bed was too high and ceiling fan was close. 4)Indoor decor of the room was too cold. We don't see the need of reminders of the British Bullish Era in the rooms. 5)The place mat in the restaurant...We were astonish why would anyone put that message on the table to remind Indians how the British conquered India...move on!!!! An Indian with self respect would get pretty upset. I even took a picture of it and shared with my friends and their first reaction is anger. 6)Due to weather, we had no very weak wifi and no cable connection at all. The outdoor is enchanting but too bad weather didn't permit us to enjoy it further.
value for money”
Every thing is excellent, but choose wisely the hotel room type. Expect English suit everything will have more privacy
Really good experiance”
Its heritage property and well maintained. love to visit next time.
Fantastic location, exceeded our imagination of yercaud. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation. ”
While we are sure to come back, the resort is a place for total relaxation and vacationers looking for extensive sightseeing options may be disappointed. The resort itself has much to do and more fully a place to rejuvenate your senses. Food was OK and bit expensive. Overall upkeep is good. Basic options in desserts, no alcohol served. Close proximity to yercaud lake. The resort conducts a night safari which is interesting though we didn't take it as we had very young kids... I am sure you will like it...
No play area for kids. Staff were very courteous. When we needed a medicine for our kid which is not available in yercaud, they helped us in getting the medicine from Salem junction. Room service was a bit costlier.
Super expereince in colonial style bunglows ”
I was not expecting a nice surprise in small station but to my surprise they have really maintained the place very well with facilities like Movie in projector (Amitabh movie :-) a bit unexpected in Yercaud TN) The place where everyone can sit in cool rains and having cofee n their fav Charcoal pizza! the rooms were old colonial style reminds you to stop ur watch and go back pre independence era, quite cool, bathrooms required an upgrade for sure. Overall fantastic experience.
Pros - beautiful property, fresh air, nice and green, very natural and amazing place., Decent food, value for money!! Cons - we were 5 members booked 2 rooms. We booked one room with an extra bed. We requested for two beds (to keep one of top of other as they dint have any cota) because the floor was too cold and the person had some back problem. But the staff refused sharing the extra bed at all. They could be more courteous towards such requests.
MUST VISIT PLACE”
It was a pleasant stay in lake forest. staffs were good & helpful. Highlight of this place is location of the rooms. Each room is located inside coffee plantation. excellent surrounding. musical sounds the birds makes in the morning with the chill weather its a heaven to experience. rooms are clean enough. very good antique interirors.. ( esp switches, lock, lights, painting ) which reminds our olden days or our grand parents house. Food is good. they have a separate cafe with varieties of coffees and teas. but it could load with some pastries & sandwiches. Bcoz we dont get these in restaurant. evening snax is missing in this place. Rooms can have kettle option to make hot water/coffe/tea. pls play only english movies. i cud see few north ppl who were dissapointed bcoz of u played tamil movie though i m a tamilian :). Apart from few minor improvements the place is very good. My special thanks to the manager ( i dnt knw his name) who has arranged my candle light dinner in my corridor. I asked him last minute. but with no hesitation he arranged it. it was a memorable surprise i hve given to my wife for our first anniversary. we loved the caramel custard you made on that day :). thanks to the team. sure will visit again.
