Hotellet ligger et stykke fra stranden, da der ikke er nogen direkte vej dertil. og pool er ikke særlig stor. Synes ikke det var pengene hver. Morgenmad ok.

Lovely hotel, lovely staff”
Islanda occupies a beautiful spot overlooking a beach (no direct access, hence the magnificent view!). The infinity pool is bliss and we loved a dip either before heading out for the day or on our return, as the sun went down. The staff were lovely – so friendly and helpful – from the catering crew to Noi at the main desk, who organised our hire scooter (which appeared after breakfast the next day) and transfer back to Bangkok. We were collected at the port by another super-efficient, super-nice member of staff (afraid I didn't catch his name), so getting to the hotel was easy; he turned up within 5 minutes of calling the hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The balcony had a comfy seat that was positioned so you could enjoy the view over the sea. We were a bit wary of Islanda, having read some negative reviews regarding strict rules. I'm happy to report that this wasn't a problem, though. Yes, there are some signs, but nothing we haven't seen before. I've mentioned that we hired a scooter – I'd say you need some sort of transport to get around the island. However, the hotel is an easy walk to some really nice restaurants in the evening if, like us, you don't want to drive at night.

Great location and Great hotel! ”
Staff and service was great. Our room was a good size and we got an upgrade to an ocean view terrace. Clean, tidy and very professional. The swimming pool and views are amazing, best on the island! The staff were Very friendly and polite, I would highly recommend to book your stay here! Couple travelling from Scotland 🏴

We stayed at Islanda for 5 nights. We found the resort to be lovely with awesome views. The staff were really helpful and kind. We forgot our charger and they had it returned to us on Koh Chang. We would stay here again.

Very nice small hotel, where you have like private service due to size of hotel. Pool is nice and view is stunning from pool and breakfast area. Stuff was very nice also. Only small minus comes location of hotel, but by renting scooter, it does not matter, you need it anyway in this island and it takes only 5 minutes to go beach.

Beautiful hotel, located between northern-west and southern beaches of Koh Mak. This hotel has the BEST STAFF that I've experienced - very helpful, honest, especially staff manager! I hope I could visit this place again.

Almost Paradise”
This was our first stay at Islanda and we based our expectations on their website. The resort mostly lived up to its advertising with some exceptions. Pluses: undoubtedly the best pool view on the island...we could have just stared for hours and did. Staff was very friendly and polite even with some language barriers. They often went out of their way to send us to different sites and sounds on the island. Our room, which was on the back side (garden view) was very clean with great a/c Location: very well located near the junction of two streets that lead everywhere on the island. You are about 10 to 15 minutes walk to several bars and resorts. Quiet: extremely quiet even for a quiet island almost to the point of needing some noise. Negatives: swim up bar doesn't exist period Some of the pool feature (dragon fountains) haven't apparently worked for a long time The owners/staff were really strict about keeping the place clean and controlled with lots of notes and rules..

Clean and Pleasant with Helpful Staff”
We spent three nights at Islanda Resort and found it quite agreeable. Wonderful view from the restaurant and pool. Staff was very helpful. We were given free tickets for the boat to Koh Kham. The hotel does sit atop a small hill and the return walk from the nearest beach entails a steepish ascent for about the last 100 meters or so.

It was so good to stay here and worth our money. We can sea the beach from the hotel even thought it was not a beach front hotel. It took around 5 mins to the beach by bike

Stay here for the view”
The hotel is located on a hill so there is a breathtaking view from the terrace and the pool area. 10 min walk to the nearest beach. You can take a taxi or rent a bike/motorbike to go around the island The rooms are quite nice. The staff are very friendly. Food however is average.

Great service Great view The food was good but there were not too many to choose. 5-10 mins walk to the beaches Be careful, I found 2 scorpions and 1 cockroach in my room

It looks like family hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. About 10 - 15 min walk (sloping) to the beach at Koh Mak Resort. Breakfast reasonable to good: you can tick what you want on a list. To go somewhere or to see something you actually have to rent a motorbike, very easy to rent at this hotel !

The room are so dirty and didn't have cleanliness preparation. The facility and surroundings are old & dirty. Many insects welcome us on the 1st night. Staff are friendly but, they didn't have reception to support for 24 hours.

Fantastisk”
Nice staff, beautiful view from the pool and restaurant. Clean, spacious rooms. The restaurant could take advantage of the facilities of the place. With delicious coffee, cold drinks and tasty food. The breakfast could be better and the quality of the food could be better.

One of the best hotels in Koh Mak”
What a hidden gem! We have been to Koh Mak before and this is the best hotel we have been staying on. We stayed on the hotel on the other side of the street but it was terrible so we changed to Islanda and I wished we had boked Islanda in the first place. It’s clean, no insects in the room, very good food, the staff is amazing, the breakfast is really good and the view - the best view in Koh Mak!! The hotel looks newly renovated now after covid and I really hope they keep this standard! We had the room with pool view and then we upgraded to the room with both pool view and sea view which both was amazing. The location is also great, really close to everything but still very calm (no dogs etc). We are going home tomorrow but if we go back to Koh Mak this is definitely the hotel we will stay on!
