Checking in and out the staff was friendly & promptly services. The rooms are spotless and the cleaning service is doing a tremendous job. The spar facilities and services is the best.

“Disappointed! ”
Room service order took 2,5hrs and arrived ice cold! Food portions very small at Granite restaurant - totally overpriced & while there several guests complained!! Spa fully booked so hotel guests not accomodated! Overall won't go there again!

“Relaxing Friday after a busy week”
Pool, sauna, breakfast
I have been to the hotel numerous times just for lunch, also once to the spa. First time that I stayed over at the hotel. One can select a free welcome drink, so I went for a glass of bubbly. I was a bit early, around 13:30, but got checked in swiftly by a friendly lady who came to me whilst I was enjoying my bubbly on the veranda. Lovely, no need to go back to the reception desk. Got checked into room 80 (deluxe room), which is big with a high grass ceiling. It has a small veranda. Bathroom with shower also large. Hotel guests can use the spa facilities free of charge between 17:00-19:30 and 7am to 8:30am. Men and women can use the indoor pool, jacuzzis and relax area together. The sauna, steam room, power shower and change rooms are separate for men and women. There is also a jacuzzi in the separate areas. Spa staff can be friendlier. One feels a bit unwelcome with their attitude, i.e. that as a hotel guest one uses the facilities free of charge. Staff also did not inform me that I can have tea, coffee, juice and fruit whilst at the spa. In the morning I went to the spa again (at 7:30am) and was informed the sauna and steam room will only be switched on then, but guests are supposed to have access to all the spa facilities from 7am.... So not 4-star services overall at the spa. One does not need to bring the room towels to the spa, they provide you with a locker, towel, slippers and gown. Shampoo, shower gel and body lotion great (Theravine range, all inspired by different grape cultivars). There is a turning down service around 20:00. So one can request more milk, tea, coffee. Staff very friendly! Breakfast is FANTASTIC! One can even have bubbly (free of charge) and a lovely friendly waitress asked me if I want another glass. Great variety. Non-guests pay R185 for breakfast. In the evenings there is a buffet dinner (not included in my hotel package), which I did not make use of. Hotel wifi is extremely slow. So bring your own internet along if you can.

“Stunning location, variable service”
Garden, pool and restaurants
Our 5th Stay at this hotel. The location is fantastic for tranquility and relaxation. Gardens and pool are stunning. The food is suberb - it scored 10/10 every time! Rooms, housekeeping and check-in is variable. The last room was a bit tatty and not well serviced - scratched and stained bath and basin, broken bin pedal, dirty wall (squashed bloody mozzie), no biscuits and turn-down service did not arrive. Check-in is supposed to be from 2pm, but we had to wait until almost 3pm to for a room to be cleaned before we could get a key, and another hour to get clean pool towels to arrive at the pool. As a 4* upmarket and quite expensive hotel, I was annoyed that the check-in was so poor, and that the room (although comfortable) was below par. We had wanted to spend the afternoon at the pool and lost 2 hours waiting to check-in and get towels. The dining, chefs and waiting staff were all without fault, and the catering staff could not do enough to please. The gardeners at KievitsKroon are the unsung heroes.
