Great Location and Room
The stay at Leonardo was great, easy walk to the beach and city centre and heaps of local choices for food. Great value for money, just be aware that this is a cheap(ish) hotel and set your expectations accordingly and you will have a great time.

Poor hotel
From the first day I had to request every single day for my room to be cleaned as I would return from a day out and it would be untouched. Even when it was cleaned the sheets were not changed as the stains were evident, floors not swept, toilet rolls and tissues not replaced, sand left in the shower and sometimes towels not even changed or replaced. Every morning at a very early hour the phone would ring constantly until I answered and then whoever it was would hang up. If this was a cleaner trying to see if I was in the room this is not only rude but unacceptable to wake people. Twice a cleaner ignored the 'do not disturb' sign, kept knocking and then walked in. Location was good as it was close to the beach and shops. The staff at the front desk were very lovely as was the bar man. Rooms small and dingy. Overall disappointing.

There was a discrepancy between what was on the website regarding the number of people in the room and the booking. Hotel staff were not very helpful, but did agree to provide extra linen and then charge more for the disservice. Otherwise not quite up to standard and a bit seedy. Luckily Agoda saved the day and allowed us to clear up the misunderstanding and clear out to somewhere nice. Thanks Agoda!

They let themselves down with the basics
Location, roof top pool and breakfast
I couldn't help, but to see opportunities everywhere with this hotel. They really let themselves down with the basics. Most of which revolves around poor service. This place desperately needs new management as there is huge potential with this hotel! On a positive note due to a mistake with our booking upon check in the hotel upgraded us to a suite. Thanks for that it was much appreciated! That being said it provides a good base for assesing the hotel. To really earn a 4 star rating the management and their staff need to take pride in their hotel and their guests. Some of our observations during our 5 night stay in the best room in the house: 1. Front desk staff need to focus on one job at a time and communicate with guests. One asks a question then silence then lots of people standing around then a response after a few minutes if your lucky. Same story every day resulting in several guests mingling around in frustration. Another occasion we called for an iron they said L2 i couldnt find it so went down to reception i then get a one word L4. I go to L4 no sign of staff with irons to then discover an ironing room. Why didnt they communicate that it was a room? 2. Pool staff have a similar problem to above point. Ordering drinks and food is just a mission. Again finish with one customer completely and communicate with them. Too often you recieve half your order then have to battle for the other half. Plates and towels are left around for hours. Lunch on the first day took more then an hour. Its just one big amatuer operation by the pool. 3. House keeping do a half job. No hand towels or soap in the bathroom. Poor cleaning and very inconsistent making up of rooms. No pride in work. Plates were left in hallways for days. We were missing room information booklet and room service. Again no pride. 4. The room. No place to hang towels instead we left them to dry on the tv. Spa bath was dirty and drain smelt. Mini bar poorly located and difficult to open.

Could have been worse....
Location, Size of room, Quiet
Our stay in Tel Aviv was great. The Marina Hotel was below average. Location was exactly as we wanted, but hotel staff seemed uninterested and amateauristic. The hotel was apparently aging but resonable well maintained. All in all.... reasonable value for money, but not fantastic...

Pool with a view!
The poolside area, the breakfast, the location and view
This was a last minute choice, and turned out to be far better than expected. The entrance is a little bleak but once inside, the lobby is smart, the art within the hotel is indeed amazing and the aspect looking out over the blue sea and the boats in the marina is stunning as is the oblique view down the whole beach front. The hotel is low rise among a sea of high rise characterless concrete blocks, it is designed a bit like a ship. The poolside beds are the most comfortable ever, white towelling covers and big comfortable cushions, all kept pristine. The first day the music was mellow Bob Marley but on day three it was overly loud Rock and I had to ask the staff twice to turn it down which they looked irritated by. Breakfast was a feast of middle Eastern delights and traditional fare, Buck's Fizz or just bubbles if you wanted. The room had a small bathroom with shower, the curtains should be thicker - they are just mesh so the sunlight comes in early. I will definitely stay here again, a lucky find!

Amazing position next to beautiful beaches
Location Views Breakfast
The hotel was in the most amazing position right on the sandy beaches of Tel Aviv. The pool was fantastic with views over the beaches- extremely comfortable sunbeds. Great breakfast

rooms offerred old and tired,
unhelpful staff and unwillingness to solve any issue rooms offered at special price are dingy while rooms at higher rate are displayed
