Underwhelming hotel with horrible management
Stayed here at the end of our Sri Lanka trip. The hotel is on the Nilaveli beach front which isnt the best beach in the area and is fairly isolated from the rest of the Trincomalee sites. The rooms are dated and for the price you expect a lot more. Being far away from everything else you are stuck eating here and the food can be hit or miss, the buffet is good value but the rest isnt. We ordered a lobster which cost around 50 USD and got a rubbery overcooked meal which became a drama once we gave some feedback, the chef refused to see us and the manager took it upon himself to make a song and dance about it and make us feel uncomfortable for the rest of our stay. I wouldnt recommend this place based on our horrible experience with management.

The location we loved but the rooms depending on which room you get ! First 2 nights we felt like we were in a hostel room. The room was not clean, spiders everywhere, dust everywhere ! The last night we moved to a better room which we loved. The staff are friendly but aren't the best in communication. The beach was amazing !! Loved the night atmosphere of the place.

Wonderful location and fun atmosphere
Great beach, good customer service, wonderful pool and atmosphere.
Pool has trees around it, so no matter how hard that guy worked, there were still some leaves and a few sticks. Folks were coming from neighboring hotels for the atmosphere , my family loved it. WIFI in lobby only, Really ? We want to go back !

Very unprofessional management on site
Location .
Horrible . Acting For Manager it was a in finance who does not have any kind of clue of customer service and is rude to customers rather than tactful and not initiating conflicts . Being for long time hotel gets business as of now , but with this kind of management at site serious concern over repeat business . There was no WIFI in rooms . Breakfast starts only at 7.30 am whereas most hotels it starts much earlier . Mostly Old furniture in rooms with toilets with very old fittings . During a power cut hotel took reasonable time to get to generators on time . Surviving hotel mainly because of long term operations up to now , but new hotels with extended facilities were noticed in the immediate neighbourhood facing the sea with much much low cost .

Poor valve for money
Location to the beach and quality of the beach
Beach was great, however food was poor and quality of resort was poor for the money paid. There are better options then here

Relaxing but expensive
Beach location,
Rooms are tired and stuck in the 80s, common areas are nice and well maintained. This hotel is very expensive for food and drink costing up to 4 x what it should for tourist prices elsewhere in Sri Lanka
