Dette var bra. Vi er en familie på seks fra Trondheim (to godt voksne og fire "barn"). Angrer ikke et sekund på at vi valgte Palace Gate. Hyggelig betjening, rent og pent, fine rom (Royal Deluxe), bra basseng og alt av mat var bra. Vi hadde alle våre rom i hovedbygningen ved hotellet. Ved en tilfeldighet var vi innom et rom i første etasje (Apsara Deluxe Room?). Her luktet det kjeller, så velg heller rom et annet sted i hotellet. Taxien bommet og kjørte oss til Palace Gate Hotel & Reecidense. Herfra sørget de hotellansatte for å transportere oss til Palace Gate Hotel & Resort. Tilbake hit? Ja!

Palace Gates is right across the road from the entrance gates to the Royal Palace and a stroll from the Riverside promenade (Preah Sisowath Quay) where you catch the river/dinner cruises along with inexpensive bars and restaurants. Welcome was friendly and efficient and we were shown to our third floor room with a pool view; we got a pool view (and a palace view) with a neat balcony. The bathroom was huge with a great walk in shower. The bed was wide and comfortable; maybe a little hard for some. Special mention of the vast array of plug sockets for all kinds of plugs (other hotels take note). We used the pool each day; loungers always available. We took advantage of happy hour(s) at the pool and the 'sky bar' overlooking the Royal Palace; you could watch the sunset with drinks and food. Breakfast was excellent. The selection should be more than enough for anyone and included an egg station and also a noodle station! An all round top hotel and worth a return visit.

A lovely & welcoming oasis!”
My husband & I stayed at this lovely hotel for a few days at the beginning of our trip and returned to stay again before our flight home. The hotel is a welcoming oasis with gorgeous grounds and pool, and spotlessly clean and comfortable rooms full of thoughtful details. We really appreciated that our bathroom did Not include disposable mini plastic bottles but had transitioned to the greener use of dispensers and wish more hotels would do this! The food at the hotel was delicious and they have many beautiful spots to enjoy it in. The staff went out of their way to be helpful, and one of the managers, Ms. Sreytouch, remembered hearing us mention that our last night with them was our wedding anniversary and had her team surprise us with a beautiful arrangement of frangipani blossoms—such a lovely gesture! Thank you to everyone at the Palace Gate for a wonderful stay—we highly recommend this hotel.

I travel often. I only review when my stay is exceptional, so here it is… Value for money - unbelievable value for an upmarket experience Customer service - amongst the very best I have encountered The fantastic swimming pool - feels like you could be swimming in the jungle! Sky Bar - Heaven at sunset. Restaurant - Always fresh well made culinary delights (faultless over my two month stay especially at breakfast) Location - ideal to access BKK1, Riverfront & Downtown. Accommodation - Mekong River views are available which I loved. The accommodation is clearly designed to make you feel as if you are in your own home. You notice that as soon as you arrive at the Reception. The beds too are really comfortable This place definitely has the edge. All my friends said as much too. The synergy of great management, combined with lovely Cambodian people in a charming French colonial setting, delivers a guest experience vastly greater than its individual parts. Alan Stuart

We were looking for a 5 star hotel in PP for our honey moon and birthday celebration and Palace Gate gave us completely satisfactory. The hotel has timely response on APP for our questions and needs before we arrive. We got upgraded the room, beautiful deco for the bed, and more than stunned welcoming surprises for our birthday/honeymoon. The view is extraordinary. You can see the palace in your window, balcony, and even closer on their sky bar. Must take a look especially in the night. The swimming pool is gorgeous and vibrant. Food is wonderful. BBQ by the pool on Sunday. Service and smiles are comfortable. All in all thanks to them we had an unforgettable stay and we sure will be back soon. :)

Hospitality at its finest!”
Excellent hotel located in the city center yet I hardly felt the city buzz during my 3-night stay (Aug 17-20). The hotel has the warmest and most welcoming staff who treated me royally. Airport pick-up was included in my booking but since I was traveling by bus from Phnom Penh, I requested a pick-up at the bus station at the last minute. I arrived at Siem Reap a few hours later and Sophie was patiently waiting for me. From that day on, they made sure that everything was perfect. I was offered refreshments and cold towel as soon as I got in the car. The welcome drinks and snacks are actually what I consider a full meal (and they kept on coming during my stay!) were yummy. Upon check-in, I was provided all the information I needed. I was invited for a free 5-course dinner and was surprised by a huge cake with the entire staff singing me a happy birthday song! I personally loved the free banana chips and bedtime stories. Shout out to Sophie, Alice, Sak, Mesa and the rest of the team!

I absolutely loved this hotel. I seriously could find nothing that was lacking. Perfect location. One building is an old French colonial era dripping with charm. Excellent staff, facilities are top notch, beautiful gardens, sumptuous food, pool is gorgeous and rooms tasteful and super comfortable. My only problem was I never wanted to leave the hotel to explore Phnom Pehn! Well deserving of their 5 star status and excellent value. I’m now trying to figure how to return soon.

Was travelling with my mum for her birthday, and even though it wasn't her birthday while we were staying here they gave a delicious birthday cake and sang happy birthday to her. Phnom Penh can be a bit hectic and this hotel provides a perfect haven, in an excellent location. Tip: get a room with a balcony, you'll regret it otherwise.

We booked this hotel for over Christmas as we would be away from home and wanted something special, and this place delivered! At first our room had the view of a wall which we were not happy about but they moved us with no issues and efficiently. Our room had everything we could possibly need throughout our stay! The bed was the comfiest ever!! We spent Christmas Day in a cabana by the pool, the pool also had everything you would need and plenty of beds all day. The food we ordered through room service was delicious, was not expecting it to be so good! The skybar and the views are amazing, worth popping up anytime of day. Loved our stay here!

Had a very comfortable stay while I was there. Two main things that stood out for me was that the staff were very friendly and helpful whenever I needed anything. Can’t say the same for every other hotel in the city. The other was that if you prefer to stay in a quieter location and not be disturbed by noises from the street etc this is the hotel for it. Had a very peaceful stay with good rest!

This place is in the center of it all. Blocks from Pub street and the Night market. The staff was outstanding, they made sure to greet us by name,, pack a lunch for us on days we visited the Temples and made us feel like royalty. The restaurant and pool were more than we ever expected. Rooms are clean and decorated wonderfully. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

Room was spacious and clean, bed was really comfortable! Food at Mealea restaurant was delicious. The pool is very relaxing place, surrounded by palm trees. we tried the Spa and we were not disappointed: very professional and attentive therapists! Overall, a very relaxing stay 2 steps away from the Royal Palace and the river front: we will definitely come back!

Good hotel option for PNH”
Didn't love the facilities spread out over two buildings. And, the nighttime lighting was puzzling. Get up to get a drink of water and you might as well bring a flashlight. The options are dark or bright. But, all that said, the staff was good, rooms comfortable and location superb.

Rare find in the middle of Phnem Penh”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Palace Gate hotel. It's quiet in the middle of town. It's beautiful, very clean, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The pool was quite enjoyable, and the breakfast had great selection. I would definitely recommend for couple or family. The price is great given what's offered and the location.

Pros: comfortable and spacious room size. Garden style of green environment and nice decoration of hotel. Good size of pool. Hotel staffs are friendly, helpful and caring nature. Cons: Breakfast - Although menu changes everyday, still less variety of food in comparison with other 5 star chain hotels. However, considering the size of hotel, it is reasonable.

I really enjoyed my stay. Kept discovering new corners of the garden or the rooftop skybar. Great views of the Mekong from my room, and then on my return visit, of the Palace. Breakfast was worth lingering over, with a huge selection for all tastes. Gym was good, with the best views. Poolside also a great experience. I was able to plug my computer into the HDMI slot on the TV and work from my room.

We booked double room with view. Room was amazing, and the bed was super comfortable! Staff is nice and kind. I wouldn't recommend dining in hotel restaurant. For 40 dollars you get low quality local dishes.. Landscaping is amazing, pool is great fun. Would stay there again

This place is so nice and it has the Cambodia vibe the wood and everything it’s fancy and local culture painting and decoration. The swimming pool area is so relaxing and hotel manager has upgraded our room so we could see the palace the view actually is really really nice. And breakfast buffet is also very nice. I had a very wonderful day there. If it’s your first time come to Cambodia or even locals. It’s definitely worth it to stay here.
