Resort style accommodation in the city”
Very spacious cute garden bungalow. Comfortable bed, great shower and all the amenities necessary (fridge, hairdryer, wardrobe, iron). We had three nights. If ever in Darwin would stay here gain. Highly recommend. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Everything was right about the stay. Check in was almost second to none and the attention given to us by the staff member was exemplary. Our room was comfortable and the room staff did their job very well also. If we were to complain, it would be about the early morning (6.30 am) start made by the next room occupants whose early morning guests were fairly rowdy and raucous. An hour passed before things quietened down.
Proximity To CBD & Waterfront, Resort Within A City”
Staff are friendly and chatty. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Makes you feel you're at a real resort in the middle of the city. Security over the baggage storage facility needs to step up though. Otherwise there is no other fault I could pick on.
Great location for Darwin sight-seeing. Stayed in a villa first time round, but “downgraded” to a superior hotel room on our second visit as they are roomier. Staff very welcoming and efficient. Clean and comfortable base for our holiday.
Good pool and great location”
Good location in the heart of city, across from park and harbour. Staff great friendly atmosphere
Great oasis in the city”
Fab hotel with great pool, staff very helpful. Bonus large laundry with dryers, irons etc.
We snatched this up with an off-season price and were blown away. The executive villa is beautiful, large, cozy, has everything you need! We made fun we on the bbq outside, enjoyed the private hotub outside. I loved it here. Amazing location. Beautiful pool
Oasis in the NT”
The location was ok, close proximity to the city center where all hive of activities are centrally located. The bus station is within walking distance from hotel. Walking access to nearby places of interests such as Darwin wharves and the tunnel. Location offers great walking tours surrounding . A quiet resort tucked at a corner with great value for money stay.
Great facilities but tiny rooms”
Love the privacy afforded by the leafy grounds and the beautiful pool, but the bungalows around the pool are really misleading and overpriced. They look cute from the outside, but inside they are smaller and more basic than most old motel rooms. We didn't sleep particularly well as the air con was all or nothing, and the fan was ridiculously loud. We did enjoy relaxing there during the day, and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
Lovely leafy location in the centre of Darwin”
Palms City is a great choice if you are looking for a reasonably-priced, central location. The rooms are clean and well-equipped, the pool is great for a morning dip or a cool down, and staff were very helpful. Free parking is a plus. Everything at this hotel looks well-maintained. We had a lovely stay!
Best location for that oasis in Darwin”
The Hotel was perfect, perfect location. But no one told us at time of booking that the whole pool/bbq area was beeing refurbished which left us with no option. So hotel was good but we were really looking for a swim in Darwin, in summer in a middle of a road trip
Loved my stay at Palms City!”
I am from Melbourne and currently living and working in Darwin for 6 months and stayed at Palms City for two nights just to treat myself after returning from a visit home. I loved my stay at this resort and will definitely be coming back soon. My room was clean and had everything I needed, the staff were lovely and helpful and the pool was great. Would definitely recommend to my friends and family back in Melbourne as the place to stay if they decide to visit Darwin.
Third visit to this lovely resort only disappointment was that all the trees removed from around the pool so complete lack of any shade, so unable to use the pool until sundown. On previous visits spent many lazy afternoons socializing with the other guests in the pool and discussing the best places to visit.
Excellent location, free parking and nice santuary on the edge of the CBD.
Resort located near Darwin's commercial and shopping precinct. Generally, a comfortable stay.
Palms City Resort review”
We've stayed at Palms City Resort on previous occasions and have found it to be a very relaxing experience even in its location in Darwin's CBD. The resort is planted out with tropical plants and any external noise is muffled as a result. The staff are very professional, helpful and efficient while the resort has all the facilities required for a very pleasant stay. There are numerous restaurants nearby along with department stores and supermarkets. Breakfast is available and very good while al fresco breakfasts are available in nearly Smith St Mall. Palms City Resort is highly recommended for getting away from it all and relaxing while in the middle of the city.
Great value ”
Pros: great price inner city location, park across the road and wharf a short walk away! The room was clean and fresh, set in tropical grounds with an inviting pool. The staff were very friendly. Our room was s standard twin room which are quite small but big enough for us. For $ 75 it was a bargain. I'll definitely stay here again
Great tropical paradise”
Our stay was an overnight stay, waiting for a flight home. Arrived early from an overseas flight, room wasnt ready, upgraded to a bungalow for a nominal price. The bungslows are clean, modern, well equipped, ample tea n coffee, fan n quiet aircond. Kitchen equipped with the basics for BBQ cooking. Bungalows though close to one another are private with balcony n BBQ. Pool is surrounded by tropical garden. Easy walk to deck chair theatre, city, restaurants n waterftont precinct. We did not have the in house breakfast at $23pp. The Palms a great place to stay.
Nice place but small”
Quite a small room really and had no ironing board. Had to order meals from a bar and go out to order them. Not ideal when its wet. No onsite restuarant. Great bed. Icy cold aircon. Beautiful tropical gardens. But the compactor noise from settling the pavers between 10 am to 2.30pm was annoying
Perfect Christmas stay ”
Booked a bungalow room for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day turned out perfect our room 229 was directly opposite the pool my brother and his 3 children and my daughter her fiancé and my grandson came we had a BBQ on the balcony/veranda and spent quality family time together it is a fantastic place
