“The stay was remarkable but the reception was horrible. ”
They had my name in the system but somehow I was not expected as I waited for an hour at foyer to be allocated a room. What a sad affair.

“Lacking 5 star service ”
This hotel is situated close to Sandton City in a trendy part of Johannesburg. The rooms are fully equipped and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was great and staff in the restaurant were friendly. The under cover parking was problematic as the long term parking tickets never worked and on each trip ,in or out of the parking ,we experienced problems. The parking issue was compounded by rude ticket operator that we were connected to when we pressed the help button at the boom gate. The hotel apparently experiences blocked drains in the bathroom. During our stay a staff member tried in vain to unblock a drain leaving a nauseating sewage smell in the room. He made no attempt to mask the smell by leaving the extractor fan on or making use of an air freshener. A staff member knocked on the door and used his access card to gain entry to the room before waiting for us to grant him permission to do so. My wife was breastfeeding at the time and I had to sprint to the doorway to prevent an awkward situation. The hotel is nice but lacks the good service that one would expect of a 5 star hotel. The hotel will do well to emulate even a fraction of the service rendered by Movenpick and Fairmont hotels.

“Always Will”
I always live to be here. From check in experience to cleanliness, class, comfort and value for money. I was upgraded during my stay, what a priceless experience. Please for a business class room for that space, comfort, privacy and benefit of having extras such as all day snacks and drinks at the top floor. Room service staff were terrible. Acted as if they were forced to do thier jobs. Tried being friendly, but they acted unwelcome. That did not spoil the feelings I have for the other aspect though. I would suggest that hotel should advice that public places such as the business class lounge should not encourage young folks with sagging pants, almost falling off. Imaging seeing such with your family, not good enough. I just love Radisson.

“Delay in booking confirmation”
My cousin got married on saturday the 10th and as a surprise I booked at 2pm through agoda for a night stay for him and his new bride for the 10th. I phoned through at 4pm, 5pm, 6pm, 7pm, 8pm etc and Radisson did not get the booking from Agoda. I emailed the confirmation and spoke to a few people at the Radisson and no one was willing to confirm that if my cousin and his bride got there, they would be able to stay. Eventually one person said he should just come and they will sort something out. Needless to say when he got there with the confirmation late that night, another person said there was no confirmation on the system, even after showing them the confirmation. There is obviously a delay between Agoda and the hotel and i can understand that, but this is not the first time this would have happened to Radisson. I think they should have a plan for cases like this. I stay there frequently with my company and I must say that I was disappointed.

“Facilities ”
I was not happy day 1 when I got to the bar they did not have my preferred drink - but I was impressed when I came back - day 2 even though I came back late they had ordered what I requested

“Great Business Hotel”
Great business facilities. Check in and out was quick and hassle free. Internet is easy to access and I had no hassles with it for the 3 days I was there. Hotel offers a shuttle service to Gautrain and Nelson Mandela Square which is very efficient. Rooms are spacious, well set out and comfortable. Bed has very good mattress and linen is clean and in good condition. Bathroom is very clean and spacious. Good hospitality tray and bar fridge.
