Pure Rainforest Experience”

This is the perfect way to experience the Daintree Rainforest. Everything you need, and nothing you don't. You sleep deeply with the sounds of the rainforest, totally immersed in one of the worlds most biodiverse places. There is a wonderful sense of community among the guests, created by the property owners who give you everything you need to understand and enjoy this amazing wilderness. I highly recommend Daintree Crocodylus Village to any traveller who wishes to really experience the beauty of the Daintree. Shane

Unique facility in rainforest with friendly owners”

Unique rainforest location, attentive owners and great food

We had a lovely time at Crocodylus. The rainforest bungalow was a fun place to stay. We felt as if we were part of the rainforest. The self-catering facilities were fabulous and we really enjoyed the Sunday Aussie BBQ. Steve and Sally are great hosts who made us feel welcome throughout our stay. It was lovely to spend our evenings in the open restaurant area where everyone was welcome (whether you were having a meal from the restaurant or catering for yourselves). We will definitely be recommending Crocodylus to our family and friends for a unique stay in the Daintree.

Nice clean room for a night stay”

Clean room, friendly owners, close to attractions

We had a wonderful stay here, the staff were very friendly and also allocated us our own cutlery for our short stay. Advised us on where to go in the rainforest and how to get there. Rooms were very clean despite the mossies and close to beaches.

overnight stay”

leaving early

I was attending a gathering nearby, and this was the only place that allowed single night stays. Just as well, because I wouldn't have stayed a second night. It is dark, damp, and dismal, with a side order of leaches thrown in. The facilities are basic in the extreme, and I had one of the "upmarket" tents. They run a generator all night, which really detracts from the nature experience, and the big diesel one kicks in around 6:00 am, which was my cue to leave. Surely, a bank of batteries could power the few path markers which were inadequate anyways, as there were people wandering around lost after midnight. Yeah, it is the Daintree. or stay in a dump like this. Next time I'll stay over the river - the Daintree should be a day destination anyways.

An incredible experience staying in the rainforest”

We felt at one with nature literally tucked away in the rainforest. The crocodile cruise and night walk were memorable. The hosts were really friendly and helpful.

We were going there expecting no electricity and very very basic accommo but we were pleasantly surprised as we had electricity and a loo and shower in each bungalow. We were well looked after and wouild like to thank the hosts for their support and hospitality. Given the location and type of resort we felt everything offered was of a good standard and even the vegetarian diet was well catered for. A great experience and a proper taste of the rainforest.

right in the middle of the rainforest - perfect”

Cabin felt like there was nothing but rainforest around yet 20 meters from communal dining, bar and pool

Simply wonderful stay. Maree and Darlene were great, left me alone when I wanted peace and were great sources of local knowledge when I asked. They always had a smile! Sitting on that verandah, looking at the rainforest 2 feet from my nose is something I will never forget, great food at brekky and dinner and access to power to charge up the phone and camera. I am so glad I stayed there rather than one of the more conventional places, I really felt like I was in the middle of it all!

quirky, rural, bush. Location right in the forest.”

1/location - right in the bush, 2/uniqueness - glamcamping, eco lodge, remote, fascinating,.3/value for money - reasonable $ catering and room prices

Location feels right in the heart of the forest. Comfy bed in atmospheric cabins. Good privacy. Good value, simple home cooking options for breakfast and dinner (huge portions). Highlights of our trip included: mixing with holiday makers and locals during Happy Hour at the bar, sunrise kayak with Steve (saw turtles, amazing birdlife and scenery and thankfully no crocs! and the night forest walk with Possum.
