Fantastic birdwatching sanctuary”
Daintree Valley Haven was a wonderful place for our family of three to stay on our Australian vacation. It was a peaceful Haven in the rainforest. The cabin was clean and in a beautiful setting. The breakfast provided each day was perfect for our needs. We were only able to stay three nights but I could have easily stayed many more nights. There is so much to see in the area. For birdwatching the grounds were fantastic. Just from our cabin we were able to see Azure Kingfisher, Dusky Honeyeater, Olive Backed Sunbirds and many more. On a short walk on the road to the right of the cabins we were able to have great sightings of Buff-breasted Paradise Kingfisher. I would highly recommend staying at Daintree Valley Haven.
An exceptional , rural setting . Back to Tauren. ”
Very positive. Welcoming hosts. Wonderful tropical breakfast. Nature walks on site. Very private cabins. Away from Daintree Village but easy to drive to all attractions north of the Daintree Valley. No radio, tv, phone,Internet which made it a real retreat away from it all.
An amazing and special place to stay. ”
Once pulling up in the driveway - we were greeted by two friendly smiles welcoming us to their piece of paradise! With amazing and perfect attention to detail in the rooms, the cupboards contained all those little things which just added to the stay. The breakfasts that Daphne makes are a treat - with home made products just adding to the joy of eating breakfast. It is going to be hard to find a jam as tasty as the home made mango jam the served up! Sitting on the verandah watching the bird life and wallabies and listening to the sounds of the rainforest was the perfect way to spend any time of the day! Peter and Daphne are the perfect hosts - whose could answer all the questions we threw at them. We were on our honeymoon - and this was the perfect place to spend it! Thank you Peter and Daphne, for sharing your wonderful part of the world with us. You will be seeing us again in the future.
Service with a smile”
This is the ideal stay to completely unwind, we spent 2 nights and enjoyed the accomodation and company.have wonderful hosts, gave fantastic advise on local attractions. Thank you so much. We can highly recomment the breakfasts and meat and fish packs that they make up.
fantastic place, good setting, lovely hosts”
We were especially interested in the bird life and this place, and the valley it was in had more birds of more varieties than the rest of the Daintree. The hosts, were marvellous, friendly relaxed and very helpful. The cabin is a little basic but, considering you're in a separate cabin in a forest, it was well appointed. The plumbing, etc, all worked really well and there was electricity, etc. A very nice place to stay and we wished we had booked it for longer.
