The hostess' kindness of this hostel is really overrated. She clearly doesn't want to work with agoda anymore. When I told her I booked via agoda she just told me to cancel the booking (which was not possible because it's already paid). Its after that I insist that she gave me the bed. Another guy who checked-in after me who complained about his bed is been dirty is also sent walking as first reaction of the hostess. This is not how to treat your guests!!! You can't use the kitchen or the common area because it's taken by the family. Booking via this hostel is not cheaper than by yourself.Paid 12 USD for transport to cat ba while the hostess quoted 14 USD. People do some research online! PS: The male owner is nice though.
Mixed feelings about this place!”
Family Run place, Mother looking after the baby and seems stressed all the time. Father is very nice person, very helpful. Airconditioning in budget room is a surprise, very good. Beds might have bugs in them, owner tried to convince me that it's my imagination, but I have bites to prove it. Family just trying to make a living, don't want to make it difficult for them, but wouldn't stay here again. Stupidly cheap though. Can't believe how little I paid, so I didn't complain to much.
A decent budget hostel. Bathrooms are quite small and a bit older. Bed has curtains, which is a nice touch. Great location.
Very good for money”
The facilities were enough for me since it was the cheapest hostel i could find for 4beds female dorm. The location was good near with Al-Noor Mosque the only one mosque in Hanoi so easy to find halal food. The staff are helpful, they help me to book Halong bay tour and taxi for going to airport at 5.30am. For me, it is recomended hostel. Hope I can come to Hanoi again and relax there any longer.
worst hostel in Vietnam”
no towels.no breakfast.only one thing woman at reception cares is if I'll book for another night.she kept asking me during leading me dorm and every time she saw me.later I knew why:I paid 100000 for 1 night without breakfast.my roommate paid 150000 for 2 night and was told breakfast include.this is the worst service I've ever got in Vietnam, actually, the worst service ever
It’s a lovely hostel , i met a cool guy and we traveled together. Daisy is really friendly and speaks good English. And she have a really cute cat .
Budget Friendly ”
One of the best hostels in this price bracket. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was yummy.
It is very small hostel and not really clean, very simple. You have to rent a towel for shower.
Good value for money, top location and perfect, friendly staff”
Located in the heart of Hanoi and most must-sees are within walking distance. Daisy, the owner, speaks very good English and is eager to answer all your questions. She's very friendly and makes you feel at home. Dorm is a bit small but hey, this is one of the cheapest places in Hanoi and includes a decent breakfast. Bring earplugs - the dorm I was in was quite noisy, located next to the street. Tip for people who want to go to Cat Ba afterwards : Daisy can arrange transport for a far better price than any other sources I know of.
A small hostel with a big heart”
Daisy Hostel may not have the fancy accommodations other big hostels have - but what it lacks in amenities, it makes up big time with the service. Daisy - the owner and the manager of this great hostel, offers top of the line personal service. You get that feeling that you are staying at a good friend's house with the attention and the service she gives you. The hostel also offers one of the lowest tours in the area. I am so happy that I booked this place as Daisy has truly made my stay memorable and one of a kind. When I come back to Hanoi next year, Ill definitely stay at Daisy's again. Thank you much my friend!
Good place nearby the airport”
Quiet, close to the airport, clean. Staff not super friendly but it was ok. A good place to stay near the airport for budget travelers
More than expected ”
Friendly staff cooks you perfect pancake, clean room, no water problem and nice cat around! Been in three other hostels in Hanoi - this was and is the best. Thanks!
Daisy is amazing ”
This hostel has so much love, Daisy & her brother are so welcoming, helpful and kind. She is truly interested in you and where you have been, offers great recommendations and advice. I booked my open bus with her and feel comfortable & confident that she will help me to the fullest booking the stops for the next month. Breakfast was delicious, best pancake I've had. Also I went to sapa early and they even got up to make me a breakfast which I was very appreciative of. If she can accommodate you in any way such as early breakfast, late check out she will. Absolutely heart of gold. Would stay again in a heartbeat.
daisy is so sweet. a good breakfast is served”
I really enjoyed my stay here. I stayed before and after going to sapa in the north and they so graciously let me leave my luggage there so I didn't have to trek with it.
Best hostel I've stayed in so far ”
Daisy hostel is a small hostel in comparison to others in Hanoi, but I think that adds to its charm. The owner, Daisy, goes above and beyond to make sure you have your needs met during your stay. She really took the stress out of my trip to Vietnam, by suggesting places to go, booking transport and extending my visa. She is such a kind and friendly person and makes you feel comfortable and at home. The dorm room met my criteria. A comfortable bed, under bed lockers and air conditioning!! The free breakfast is really delicious and cooked fresh for you. Old quarter is a short walk away and the bars and restaurants are also within walking distance. Wifi is also good. Some may find this hostel pretty basic, but you get what you pay for. And I think the hospitality alone is worth the price I paid! Highly recommend and will return some time in the future, no doubt.
Daisy is so sweet and helpful”
I stayed here twice because the staff is a friendly! they even let me leave my luggage there while I went on a trip to Sapa so I wouldn't have to drag along my suitcase. I highly recommend this hostel! and I would definitely stay here again
Excellent option in Hanoi”
Daisy is an amazing host she will help you with all you need and she´s also a great cooker.
Little hostel but beautiful!! Staff very nice and kind, always worried if you are ok and comfortable!! Great location too, near of everything!! The breakfast was incredible, fruit, eggs, bread, tea, coffee, fried rice and fried noodles if you want to!! A lot of choices!! Is a familiar hostel business and the people is very very nice!! I would stay here again for sure!! 😊
