Hotel with Convenient Location - smack in the middle of the city”
We stayed at Daiwa Roynet for 4 nites . A traumatic experience for us because the 1st night we were hit by an earthquake at 3 am. The tremors lasted about 40 secs and the building was swaying and the bed was really shaking . We were assured by the Manager at the Reception that the building ws safe. Nevertheless we were frightened. The PA system was good, but the medium is in Japanese...&^%(@*&$~. We have to call the Admin to reconfirm the status. 6 Sept 2018 will always be remembered .. It was my birthday and Sapporo was hit by a nasty earthquake at the same time. Overall the staff was helpful as they tried to pacify the guests with information, and also arranged for breakfast though during this trying time, food was limited . Electricity and water was cut off due to this calamity. The earthquake took about 40 lives during this disaster and it was world news.. The receptionist was kind enough to send us of at the entrance when we left Sapporo with a Limo.💕 Will be back.
Good hotel ”
Daiwa Roynet Hotel located in Susukino , which is nearby to Odori only 1 stop taking subway. Many restaurant sorrounded. 7 11 is downstair the hotel. Bfast Buffet is excellent. The only problem is, NO escalator at the exit of gate 3 to the hotel. It is really exhauting to carry big luggage up and down to subway.
excellent location, spacious and clean rooms”
The hotel is located across the traffic junction at Exit 3 of Honsui Susukino metro station. It is one metro station away from Susukino, where there is access to Pole Town and the underground walk way/shopping mall all the way to Sapporo JR Station if you prefer to make your way on foot. That way you can avoid the Dec/Jan cold weather by spending time underground and in the malls. From Honsui Susukino to Susukino station it is only a short walk of 2 traffic junctions, so there is no need to take the metro if you are exploring the ramen alley or malls at Susukino. There are also numerous food options at Susukino station (where the main red light district is located). Opp Susukino station and 2 traffic junctions away from the hotel (5 min walk in winter snow covered streets), you can find the bus stop where the bus to New Chitose Airport runs every 15mins for 1030 yen. Very convenient especially if you have alot of luggage. There is a 7&i holdings convenience store at Level 1 of the hotel, making it very convenient to grab a snack at any time of the day/night without the need to venture out into the winter cold. On Levels 5, 8 and 11 there are vending machines, on levels 5 and 11 there are ice machines and on level 8 there is laundry room. Rooms are made everyday, towels and PJs are changed each day. Room size is also very generous for $70 a night in Japan. However one down side is there is no complimentary coffee in the rooms. Only green tea and plum tea. Coffee must be purchased from the reception counter, which i find it very odd for a hotel of this standing and size.
Most comfy stay in Japan and not bursting Budget”
I was surprised and very delighted by the spacious and clean room. It had a full sized bathtub and a cozy corner to have morning coffee. This was seriously the best and affordable hotel I have ever stayed in Japan! Front desk was also very helpful and patient with my questions. Very glad to have booked this hotel as my last stop for my 2 week vacation in Hokkaido. Looking forward to stay at Daiwa Roynet again. Till then!
Good hotel but no onsen”
In general, Daiwa Roynet Hotel is good in term of location and cleaningness. But in some case, it price go up and it is not that worth! Have been w/ this hotel couples of time, I think it is good hotel (close to walking street, clean, room size is reasonable)
Very clean, comfortable, good location”
Daiso Roynet Susukino is one of the best hotels we have stayed in Hokkaido. It is conveniently located near the centra area. There is always a underground linkway nearby which connects you via underground shopping to Sapporo Station.
Great location and value for money when staying in Sapporo”
This is the best hotel we have stayed in during our whole Japan trip. Much better than most hotels in Tokyo (in size and price). This is very near the subway which makes it convenient to travel to known tourist spots. A convenient store is also located just right beside the hotel. A few meters walk you will be in Susukino where most of the malls and restaurants are. Also 1 stop away from Odori Park. Great location and will definitely stay in the same hotel when we come visit Sapporo again soon.
Good location and comfortable room”
Great location. Right on the border of Susukino and 1 block away from the Airport Buses. Would not stay anywhere away from Susukino area where there are plenty of food stores and shopping. Booked 2 rooms for our family of 4. The hotel rooms were very comfortable and roomy. Best and biggest shower area compared to the ones in Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto where we have been. We definitely come back if we are going through Sapporo again.
Right in center of Susukino”
Great location in Susukino. Just two blocks away from the main attraction so it wasn't too noisy. We had breakfast buffet in an Italian cafe right in lobby. Pretty decent food. Room size is okay, not too small for 2 adults and I had 3 luggages opened in the room. Room was clean and staff was nice. I used their coin-op laundry service. It was cheaper than in Tokyo. :) Only steps away to the train station but we walked to Sapporo Station via underground passage all the time. It took us about 15mins (without stopping) and this saved us $200yen/person/trip on foot instead of train transfer. I highly recommend this hotel.
Great Location & Clean”
Love the location as it is in Susukino the happening place. PLUS point is Airport Bus Stop accross the street, bus stop in front of Sushi Zanmai. Mitsui Outlet bus stop opposite of hotel. Great Food everywhere near the hotel, all within walking distance. Seafood Buffet Nanda, Izakaya bar, Ramen Alley, Grilled lamb all within walking distance. 7-11 is in the hotel building, Lawson few steps away. Can even buy food from nearest Food Hall in Sapporo Lafiler departmental store.
Just a stone throw away from Hosui Susukino subway station. Good location with plenty of restaurants around. 7-11 is also conveniently located beside the hotel. Reasonable price for such a spacious, clean & comfortable room. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back and stay when I visit Sapporo again.
Right in the heart of Susukino”
Great location. Slightly far when arriving at New Chitose Airport as the airport bus will drop you off 1 block away. However, right in the heart of Susukino which is the main entertainment district of Sapporo. Able to walk all the way to Sapporo Station via underground shopping mall which will take about 15-20 minutes. Parking available right behind hotel for 1500 yen/night.
good location, restaurants and shops all around. very good service from hotel staffs, especially from Mr. Xue who gave us a lot of help and support. We would like to stay in Daiwa Roynet again next time.
Nice hotel, good breakfast and good location”
One of the more spacious and nicer hotels I've stayed at in Japan. Room was very spacious with an arm chair and foot rest. Love that the queen bed had 4 pillows so we could each have 2, which is rare in Japan. Television was big and operates well with the remote and there was an air purifier in the room. Had a slight problem with the kettle in the beginning but was sorted out quite promptly. There is a 7-11 just on the ground floor of the hotel, along with an Italian restaurant where breakfast was served. There was a large variety of dishes to choose from and was slightly different for both mornings we were there. It gets crowded pretty quickly though. The food tastes pretty decent and some dishes were actually very good. You can order room service from that Italian restaurant too. Food must be pretty good as both nights were busy. Hotel was just across an exit of Hosui-susukino subway line (Toho line). It is a short walk to susukino where there are many restaurants, cafes and bars. Would stay at this hotel for a special occasion again.
Accessible, Cozy, Clean and Spacious”
Accessible - The hotel is just a 3 mins walk to Susukino busy street. There is a subway after crossing the street but not advisable if you have luggage with you as there ‘s no elevator or escalator (Recommend to go to Susukino exit 4 if you have luggage with you). Cozy - The hotel room looks elegant and there’s a reclining chair where you can relax after a tiring day. Clean - The whole room is CLEAN. Spacious - The room is spacious that you can even open 4 Large(other hotel is spacious that you need to open your luggage on the bed) luggage in your room. 5/5 Thanks, Greg
Great hotel, perfect location!”
The hotel was a real gem! Location was in Susukino, very near good restaurants and just across the Exit 3 TOHO subway line. Rooms were bigger than most Japanese hotels, quite new and very clean. Bed was very comfortable and there is even a lounging chair in the room. Breakfast buffet was exceptional. They had western and japanese selections. Salad was always available. There was a variety of dishes to choose from which they changed daily. Pastries was very good as well. My only comment is the restaurant is a bit small but the efficient staff and great food and drink selection more than make up for this small detail. Will definitely come back to this hotel. Great value for what we paid for and very good location.
We stayed here for 7 days and we had a great stay. Its only 3mins away from subway station and 10mins from heart of Susukino district. The linens towels and the entire room is clean. It’s definitely recommended for any stay in Sapporo.
Thank you very much for staying at our hotel. We are very pleased to read your review. We will continue to make every effort to keep our customers satisfied. We look forward to your staying again. Daiwa Roynet Hotel Sapporo-Susukino
Excellent Location ”
Great location. Is walk-able to everything. Very convenience. Yet not noisy. (even our room was facing a main street.) We had our window opened all day long and the little noise didn't bother our sleeps. Size is decent. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed and pillows. You get a bottle of water for each person in room if you dont need your room clean. The only down side was, I wanted to make a reservation at a restaurant and asked the front desk if they can call for me but they said they dont have that kind of service. Not that much of a big deal. For the price we paid, Cdn$880 for 6 nights. I will stay again if I go back to Sapporo. Very recommended.
Large room for Japanese standard”
At booking there was no non-smoking room so we requested for the non-smoking via Agoda. Unfortunately that they cannot find any available non-smoking room for us at check-in. The smoke smell in the room was so strong such the provided deodorant spray as well as air purifier cannot get rid of the smell. We have asked the staff to help do the deep cleaning on the next day but after return, the smell is still strong. The ash tray was still left in the room. The interior still looks new with very large bathroom for Japanese hotel. There are separate shower and bathtub which is modern and very nice. The room is also large with sufficient space for two luggage. There is convenient store directly under the hotel, hotel guest can use the key card to open the door from the store to get back directly to hotel ground floor. On the map, it shows that the hotel is just across the street from Hosuisusukino station exit 3. However we found there there is a significant distance to walk underground from the subway platform exit to this exit and there is no lift or elevator at this exit. So please be prepared. Other than the smoke smell, everything else is great. We will definitely return to this hotel for non-smoking room next time visiting Sapporo
The hotel has a very good location, near Hosuisusukino station, and very accessible to the heart of the Susukino district. The hotel staff were helpful and accommodating. The room we stayed in is quite cramped, but overall clean and pleasant. Also, the breakfast buffet is very delicious, with a good selection to choose from. Overall, our stay was one of the best we had, and we will definitely consider this hotel again in the future.
