Good clean hotel and less than 5 mins walking distance from JR station. Best part there is a tokyo bus service opposite the hotel which is located at the bus stop right in front of the church in between SMBC and Seiyu which brings you to Haneda airport at only 1300 yen. No need to lug your luggag through the rail. Enjoy e comfort of 1 hr 15 mins limo bus service to the airport. Hotel is clean and easily assessible.

Location is great as just walking distance to Akabane station. Room is clean and a bit bigger than the normal Japanese hotel rooms. As expected, there's no closet space, but i think that's typical for Japan hotels. I recommend this hotel!

good base”

Service, security, price

Once we'd ruled out five star accommodations for our short stay in Tokyo, we were looking for something decent enough, and found it at the Daiwa Roynet. FYI, Akabane is the famous red light distict of Tokyo. So, it was interesting to see the night and day differences when we came back to crash from the (very nearby) JR/subway station. Noise was a problem--coming from outside the hotel and people sounding through the inside walls like they were falling down--but probably not more than other parts of Tokyo unless you go posh or commute from the distant suburbs. The room was very well laid out, the staff were polished and spoke English without difficulty, and we didn't have to worry about anything. I'd recommend booking a room with no meal, because there are tons of restaurants and fast food joints in the immediate surroundings. No matter how late we came back, something was open, and something (else) was open the next morning.

Good price for high season, near JR station, clean room

We stayed here at new year holidays, the room price was reasonable in compared with the others in downtown. Those increased their room price around 2-3 times where their rooms were small, not totally clean, and no breakfast or lunch serving. On the other hand, Daiwa Roynet Tokyo in Akabane provided us completely conveniences. We were really appreciated for your services.

Best Value in Akabane”

Room Quality, Staff, Location

I normally stay at a different hotel in Akabane, but I will be staying at Daiwa Roynet from now on. The rooms here are somewhat larger than in other Akabane hotels, the staff here (at least during my stay) speaks English well, and the hotel was extraordinarily clean and comfortable. The attention to detail was very nice in almost every respect.

Clean , location and Staffs

I stayed in a Hotel of Daiwa Group in Osaka this Mar. I think the hotel of Daiwa is good so I chose to stay at Daiwa Akabane this time. I loved it. Although the room is quite small for me and my sister, We re ok with it. The room is very clean. Location is good as it is very closed to the train station (around 3 mins). There are many shops and restaurants around that hotel. But a bit far from the city center. Good value for Money. The room rate is reasonable.

Surprised. Excellent for most part with some issues. ”

Got a good price on the room. The price could have been higher, and I would still be happy with the room. The bed is not the nicest one you can have but it is comfortable. Like most all Japanese service, they do a great job keeping the room clean and help out whenever they can. Due to the location, Akabane, there are some things to consider. The area the hotel is in is like a mini Kabukicho. If you go into the back entrance at night, you will have to wade through people trying to get you into their "places." The front entrance is fine. You will not find much English speaking. The station is further out of Tokyo, but there are some great rail lines through there that make it easier to get to popular places. Get the breakfast there. Mostly Japanese food with some English food. Very good for a buffet. This is a newer looking hotel. Elevators requires the room key to get up. You can have some people come in later in the night, but the room is designed to keep the noise low.

Quiet and less expensive but still convenient for Tokyo”

Akabane is about 15 mins by JR train from Ueno or Ikebukuro stations, but it is quite a bit cheaper and quieter. The hotel is on the edge of a small (but non-threatening) red light district, but the area is otherwise pleasant Japanese suburbia, with good, cheap restaurants, supermarkets and other stores. The Daiwa Roynet is clean and functional - no surprises if you've stayed in a Japanese hotel before.

Staffs are very polite and they have self-service check-in/out machine for paying room rents and process the check-out service. Wifi signal is good in room and the room is comfortable and clean. (Double-bed room size is bigger than other Japan main city hotel). Hotel is quite close to JR Akabane station (around 2-3 mins walk) (but need around 12 mins walk to the nearest Tokyo Metro station), and have many convenience store and restaurant near-by.

Great value for money!”

Was lucky to find this hotel in Tokyo as I was desperate to book a 2-night stay before we moved to our nephew's house. Got a good rate from Agoda. I wasn't expecting much as i know Tokyo hotels are expensive but I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw. The hotel is very near the JR station. There are a lot of convenience stores nearby. The hotel restaurant offers meals at reasonable prices. The hotel staff were very courteous and helpful. The amenities offered were very nice. The only thing I didn't like was the smell of the room. I booked a smoking room because my husband smokes but the smell of the smoke was overwhelming as you entered the room. Next time, I would book a non-smoking room and just ask my husband to smoke downstairs. I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic location - Akabane Station is right across the street! Staff were friendly and spoke English very well. Check-in and check-out process was straightforward. Room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. If you don't need your hotel room cleaned, they provide you with bottled water which is a bonus! Many restaurants and shops around the immediate area. I did not have a problem with feeling unsafe although there are many clubs around the area.

Location,cleanliness and friendly staff.

No regrets chosing this hotel for our 7 nights stay with my mum!Although it is not at a prime location like shinjuku,Akabane station is a interchange station that is just few stops away from shinjuku, ikebukuro and ueno w/o changing line. No lack of food selection in and around the station!near hotel have bookstores,2 konbini and 24hr Seiyu supermarket,5 mins walk and there's a daiso store!Just spend some time exploring the surrounding and you will be amazed with what's available! Room size is true to the picture posted, good for 1 pax, abit cram for 2 but still managable! To us,cleanliness is very important and it didnt disappoint! There's no minerial water provided as water from tap is safe from drinking. As we are not used to it,we still buy water from konibi everyday... All staff met able to understand english. They are always friendly when we approach to get drip coffee (my mum loves it). Overall,we are happy with our stay here!Thank you!
