Great stay in Dali in the best hostel with great staff ”
My stay at the Dali Five Elements Hostel was great. The room was clean and comfortable, the location of the hostel is excellent. A trip to the old town, the temple and the mountains is highly recommended. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the guests very pleasant. Especially Susan was a great help to me, she showed me special places with local food and gave me good advice. Thanks again Susan for that. I will definitely come back. Many thanks for everything, we will see each other again soon.

A hidden gem in Dali”
This place felt like Home! As soon as we entered we were greeted with smiles and laughter. The rooms were nice, comfy, and electric blankets were a plus. The location is prime 200 meter walk to ancient town. The beers are cheap and food is tasty. What stood Out the most was the staff! Susan is amazing. She made the stay there great for us. We can consider her a friend now. She recommend things to do, places to eat, made a fire for us, and even organized scooter rentals for us. Thank you Susan and 5 elements! We will be back for sure

I was happy to return at 5 Elements in Dali. The main reason to come back was nice atmosphere in the lobby every evening, hanging with guests from all over the world and great staff who were all very friendly and helpful, specially Susan who helped me with every request I had. From climbing the Cang mountain, swimming in the lake, booking train tickets, choosing best quality local products at honest price and trying delicious local cuisine. Thank you again! See you soon!!

Dali five is a great space for you to rest, cheer, make friends, and sharing of travel information. The staffs there are remarkable kind and friendly. Especially Mei, she sent me to TianlongBaBu with her electric bike and help me to buy the ropeway ticket to Ximatan. I deeply appreciated Mei effort to help her guest in every circumstances. Great location and wonderful staff”
I really enjoyed my stay here, the staff were so caring and helpful. I had so many wonderful conversations with Susie, she gave me advice on where to go, helped me find whiskey and try local drinks, taught me about some new foods and even took us out for dinner one night. The location was great, Its so close to the top of Renmin rd. The value for money with the rooms is great too. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

though dali old town itself didnt' impress me much, the hostel make my stay memorable where the staffs are friendly enough to share information and interact with me. Even voluntarily offered to help with foods delivery. Had awesome beer time with them. Would recommend.

The staff is very friendly and gave us good site-seen and restaurant recommendations. The facility seems to be remodeled/extended from a family house, because rooms can be different with some strange configurations. The price is unbeatable, so we booked a separate room for our daughter, which is more comfortable than our room downstairs. Both rooms are clean and comfortable. Each room has private shower and toilet, but the shower and the toilet share the same space in the room, which I think is a quite common setup in this type of hotels in the region. Self-service laundry cost a small price, and there is no daily housekeeping. Location is really convenient. Crossing the street, you will enter into the most bustling area of the old town.

Thank you for your understanding. We provide daily cleaning room service. Maybe you left the inn to go out for a long time. Didn't tell us if you need cleaning, because some guests don't like cleaning their room everyday. Finally, We look forward to stay at our inn agin and to give you a better service experience.

Shuzhen gives us a warm welcome! And she helps us with informations about the cirlty and China😊. Five Elements is a nice guesthouse, situated near the old town, 5 minutes walk. It is a quite place, with a garden if you want to sit outside.

Nearby old town”
I had a private room and it was good. The bathroom needed a few things fixed but otherwise was clean. The girl who works at night was really helpful but the girl who works in the morning had to clean the rooms and work the front desk and cook breakfast if you order it. She was friendly but was a bit too busy to help. The courtyard was nice to sit in though.

Strategic location & friendly staff”
It was great to stay in Dali Five Elements Hostel. Strategic location, nice garden, good price and the most important is very nice staff, especially Susan. She speaks English very well. She's very friendly and helpfull to all guests. The only minus of this hostel is there is no sign to the hotel from the main road. I suggest the hostel management make a sign about the hostel in the main road in order to help the guests find the hostel easier.

The hostel is just a few metres away from the old town entrance and very near to 2 mosques as well as halal eateries. Muslims traveller are very much recomended to stay in this hostel.
