Attended a church wedding at St. Joseph Cathedral and it was the perfect place for me. The location is very ideal because it's accessible to places I needed to be near to (church, mall, coffee shop, convenient store, etc); and the staff is friendly. Overall, very satisfactory.
I LIKE THE PLACE. ITS CLEAN. WIFI IS NOT THAT GOOD BUT THAT'S OKAY.
Good budget hotel ”
Good location, clean, spacious and super friendly staff. Only issue was WiFi related: it wasn't working on the second floor so we had to connect with the third floor which worked but was very slow.
Incredibly good location”
The only functional negative I could find is that there is no elevator. At my age, an elevator would be helpful. Room ceiling could have used some retouching. However, room floor, bedding, and walls were clean. Location is extremely good. By Rizal Plaza, cathedral, and near downtown malls. Only locationally-negative I can identify was specific to May 1, the feast day of the patron saint of Tagbilaran, St. Joseph the worker. Afternoon street was blocked by groups practicing and assembling for the parade/procession past the cathedral. I watched the procession. As each dance group passed the cathedral, they nelt. A loud male voice (obviouly amplified) from the cathdral chanted a Gregorian chant. A unique cultural experience, more than worth the time.
Well-located hotel in the city center”
The hotel is well-located in the city center, walking distance to malls and the City Hall. The room is big enough, the air-con is super cool however, at Room 5 where we stayed, the faucet in the washtub does not have water. The staff are okay, manned by what seemed to me as sisters or relatives. Over-all, the place is recommended for a short-term stay at Tagbilaran city.
Cozy Little Hotel”
Walking distance to eating places. Easy access to Island City Mall by Trike. Friendly staff for directions and transport questions. Resto only serves breakfast. Room not cleaned daily, had to ask for tissue, empty trash, and towels.
Good room except... ”
Good quality room, biggest problem was that the shutter window lets in all the road noise, it's practically like there is no window at all despite the fact I was on the 3rd floor. If they could solve this problem and make the curtain more light blocking then the room would be far more comfortable to sleep in.
Great little city hotel”
It's a great place for staying in the city and the breakfast is okay. The rooms are plain but comfortable and clean. Free wifi. Walk out the door and explore the city or get in a trike and go for a ride. I will always stay here when I am in Tagbilaran.
i have to say the staff of darunday manor is amazing and so helpful. the reception lady helped us to book tour of dolphin watching and island hopping. they even prepare our breakfast at 4:45 am on the day we went on tour. i was quite touch by their service. the room i stayed has no windows, the ac is quite noisy.
our stay in darunday manor is great. the staff who assisted us are very hospitable. we arrived early because we had a morning flight but they allowed us to check in earlier. the breakfast served were good, though it was the same everyday. for our transfer from the city to panglao, the hotel called a taxi for our transportation. Hopefully next time we visit, there is no more construction.
Nice Budget Hotel in the CIty”
Cons: Inconsistent water heater supply at T&B (takes time to heat up and sometimes it heat too much) so be careful. Credit card terminal not working (maybe that time only). Pros: Friendly staff and serves with a smile. Considerate Management. Free Internet access via WiFi in all areas. Walking distance to Plaza and Church. Peace and order in the vicinity of hotel was alright.
great hotel in the city”
the hotel is a few minutes away from the airport... and with the free shuttle from airport to hotel, getting there would not be a problem... the hotel at the heart of tagbilaran.. it's a walking distance to the cathedral and bohol museum and lots of restaurants including malls... the room is clean and wide... the staff are very kind and helpful... since i was traveling alone, they considered my safety when i asked them how to commute from tagbilaran to the tourist spots in panglao island and insisted that i rent a tricycle to assist me since the places i want to go to are not that easy to get to... that way, they can get the number of the tricycle driver and be aware of who im traveling with... they also have a 15 minutes free trial of a scalar energy bed... and btw, if you came from the island city mall and took a multicab back to the hotel (for only php8.00), the multicab will pass right in front of the hotel...
Great service and convenient location”
I needed a temporary place to stay while I searched for an apartment in Panglao. The staff was friendly and the room was very nice. They even included a free breakfast with my room. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to a friend.
great location in the middle of town”
I was looking for an economical one nighter place to stay and this hotel was a surprise. I thought I was going to get one of those pension houses that dont even have hot water but this hotel is as good as any of the star quality places. it's very close to the airport and also close to necessities in town. Perfect!
Accessible to church, shops and public transport. Clean, feels like home with water despenser for cold&hot drinking water.Friendly and helpful staff. Value for money just enough. Overall stay was good but would have been great if wifi was not that slow.
This was a perfect backpacker hotel, for a given price and standards. The staff where friendly. The room where clean, the bed where clean and comfortable. The wife workd well and there where no particular uncomfortable smell in the room. All in all a comfortable and happy.
I have been staying here on my trips to Tagbilaran since 2013. The room has always been nice. Never had any issues. Some street noise if your staying on the street side but its not too bad. Will continue to stay here anytime I'm in town. Internet is good.
i love to stay here. if given the chance again id choose to stay here. 😘
Excellent location, walking distance to St. Joseph the Worker Parish and a small park where you can have photos with flocks of dove. We have free soap and tissue for our room on the second floor, room no. 4. Water heater and ac works well, we had a good night sleep after a whole day of roaming around. There is a television set, though not flat screen at least have a cable connection. Almost ok, except for few buzzing mosquitoes that keeps on biting us once a while and a solo roach who passed by while we were watching tv but never shows up again. They have a 130 set continetal meal only that nothing else on the menu. I will still consider staying on Darunday Manor depending on what my itention is in visiting Tagbiliran City.
