An Excellent Escape in the beautiful Dead Sea Resort ”
I had the opportunity to visit the Dead Sea while participating in the Dead Sea Marathon weekend in February 2020. I decided to stay overnight at the David Dead Sea Resort and Spa and it was a great decision which I enjoyed a lot. The hotel crew were very nice and welcome and at the minute we arrived we received a warm welcome. We then stepped into the room and it was a beautiful room with a clear view of the Dead Sea on one hand and of the mountains on the other hand....the nature in its beauty. At the room we received a plate of fresh fruits and red wine so we could really relax and enjoy. The weather was fantastic and the swimming pool was open for us to enjoy it too. In the morning, we enjoyed a great breakfast with fresh omelette and salads.....overall, I had an amazing stay and I recommend everyone to visit and stay at the David Dead Sea Resort and Spa.

David Dead Sea Resort - Place to Relax”
Thank You for a very relaxing weekend, fantastic large breakfast selection, facilities made for comfort, close to the Dead Sea waters, Private beach was really appreciated, a quiet corner of the hotel room was also appreciated & a spacious room. Pity the reception desk staff were in a "Bad Mood" and so unfriendly, bordering to rudeness, during the 3 days stay.

Acceptable for a short stay ”
This hotel needs an upgrade and an big improvement in the cleaning service. Close to the dead sea and directed to senior groups. It has a saltwater pool that is great. It's fine if you are looking for a rest close to the dead sea but don't go with high expectations.

It’s a two star hotel at best ”
We checked in and checked out an hour later. We arrived , checked in and went to the room. Lobby area is nice and that’s where it ends. Room was 2 star at best . Dirty carpet , missing furniture, old beds , extension cords running over the floor. Room was really old . Asked for a new room or to pay to upgrade . They don’t have any renovated rooms. They all old. This is the best they have. Outdoor pool closed ( even though site says it’s open) and garden area not taken care of. Staff was really unhelpful. No service. Do not book this hotel. We moved to another hotel next door and it was fantastic. I’m sure many of these reviews are old or fake. Do not stay here.

Disgusting rooms, bad service ”
Rooms are all falling apart, have mold in showers, ac barely works, zero amenities (no conditioner or wash cloths). I’ve stayed at plenty of motels with nicer rooms. We had several rooms and they were all bad. The lobby looks nice when you walk in but that’s where it ends. The pool was half shut down, the chairs were all ripped and falling apart, the lobby bar didn’t even know how to make me a vodka with soda, the breakfast buffet was mostly disgusting, the front desk had to text management using WhatsApp to change my room when I complained and it took two hours. Finally near midnight the front desk guy himself came upstairs with sheets in his hands to make a bed in another room - which stunk just as bad. The hotel is a 7 min walk uphill from the beach. There are several beach front hotel options on the strip that look much nicer. This hotel was filled with tour groups staying one night, and I think that’s how they make their money and don’t give a crap about the cleanliness or service.

Affordable choice next to Dead sea”
David Dead Sea Resort & Spa, formerly as the Le Méridien of Starwood, has all it should be as a high end resort like hotel. The guest room has been renovated, but the public area did not. Floor tiles on the elevation hall are broken. The open air car park, has all car burn. And there is no direct access to the beach, even though it is just 50 meter away from Dead Sea.

Nice Hotel with private beach at Dead Sea!”
This is one of the nicer hotels in Ein Bokek. The rooms were spacious and had great views over the dead sea and desert. We loved being able to walk 10 minutes to the private sand beach were we could float in the dead sea without having to walk over rocks or take a shuttle back to the hotel. The breakfast buffet was huge with lots of variety and they kept it clean and well-stocked. Our only complaint was with the staff... they were rude and unprofessional. The ones who did speak English, didn't seem to know anything we asked about. The only helpful staff were working security outside. When we checked in, there were no towels in the bathroom. The maid, forced us to leave our room so she could clean it around her schedule but forgot to leave us towels. The next day, no one even came to clean the room. I understand that it is a big hotel with lots of people to accommodate but that doesn't excuse rude staff. Also, the 1st night, they had a concert in the lobby with very loud music till midnight. We were on the 16th floor and heard the music loud and clear! All in all, we would stay there again since the facility itself was nice.

Reasonable value for money, but too crowded and extremely noisy”
David hotel provided a dead sea vacation at a very good price, compared to other hotels at the same location. The facilities are good, the room was pleasant, breakfast buffet was rich. There are excellent dead sea water pools, jakuzee and sauna. The problems are in the public areas. The hotel is very crowded, so it was hard to find a quiet spot for the family to sit together and chat. The loby was always full and extremely noisy, with loud music playing through the evening. The pool was crowded and it was hard to find places in the shade. The hotel plays loud music at the pool ("Pool Party") all morning up to 14:00. The volume is painful. I asked the DJ to turn the volume down a bit and he refused. People smoke and drink inside the pool (including glass bottles, which seems a real hazard to me) and nobody ask them to stop.

Good hotel, outstanding breakfast”
The breakfast is worth every single Shekel. We travel a lot and know many hotels in all regions of the world, but this was definitely oustanding. Also the rest of the hotel is to recommend - spacious rooms with stunning views, large comfy beds and good aircon, nice pool (if you need that) and a good private beach in a walking distance. The only real (small) disadvantage: the hotel is located on the outskirts of Ein Bokek and the architect was so clever to build the entrance (car-optimized) on the back side of the building, which on the other hand maximizes the dayly way on foot to the beaches(es) and the "center" with the shopping malls.

Excellent”
I have booked a small holiday for my friend and I. As we are a student who lives in Europe but our nationality is Israeli we do speak the language. I have been using Agoda for a while now and perfectly satisfied with their service. My total price for this holiday was generous and logic but as I reached the hotel It was noted to me that I must pay the VAT fees or go home. I have looked at my booking and saw that the total price was as they said without VAT. I do feel as I have been misled to this generous price. I have been viewing my perniciously booking and booking confirmation to see that the VAT was stated brightly and formally in many other countries all over the world but yet to this hotel was not stated or informed as proper. In addition, as I confirmed the reservation I have spoken to the hotel about my reservation and received no information or warning about the matter. This unfortunate and misconception of the reservation forced us to change our plans due to money issue.

Excellent”
The place is beautiful and has great amenities but is terribly managed. There was insufficient staffing everywhere-- at the front desk in particular, where there were always lines and the waits could be 20 minutes to see someone. When I arrived, 30 minutes after check in time, my room was not ready. I waited on a long line to hear this. I was told I'd be sms'd when it was ready, and I was, but then had to wait on line again to get the room key. The pool closes at 5pm-- which is crazy to begin with, but with all the delays, I had only 1/2 hour in it. The check in person did not tell me to leave my credit card info so when I wished to get a massage and charge it to the room/ my card -- I had to go back on front desk line to arrange this. Just not organized. The room was beautiful but did not have a full complement of towels-- this, after I waited because it was not ready at check in time. I heard many other guests complaining of similar issues. The place is not well run. It was not the staff's fault, they were well meaning and beleaguered. It was a failure of good management. Because I got a good deal through Agoda I have given it the rating I did. Anyone paying regular rates would not rate it well for value for money.
