city center
price, location, surrounding
It was okay for the location and price. We stayed for a night only mainly due to errand nearby hotel and too tired to drive through the traffic.

Value for Money
Old favourite. Tucked at Rama IV end of Suk Soi 24, so it's a long walk from Phrom Phong BTS. Suk Soi 24 is a Japanese dominated area. Near Tesco and Macs, and a smallish local mall. Rooms are of good size and pricing is value for money. Staff performance has deteriorated since my last visit, as you get scarcely a smile now. Checkout at 12 was a nightmare with one staffer and a long line of 8 rooms waiting to be checked out. Superior rooms are at the annex corner wing (and not the main hotel). Au Bon Pain inhouse and Starbucks inhouse for those homesick. All in, this is a business hotel or for those who go to BKK frequently. If you are looking for a unique, boutique hotel experience, then there are better choices elsewhere. Not exactly dated, but definitely not new. Oh yes, internet policy is silly. You need to pay 199 baht for dinosaur speed wifi which is limited to the number of guests. The hotel needs to understand that most people have more than one wifi dependent device, and paying for wifi is now a distant concept.
