The beat beach holiday that I've ever had! Fantastic beach and super realxing!”
Dawn of Happiness is in my opinion the best for a quiet, solemn, relaxing beach holiday! I booked for 3 nights but I extended my stay for another 2 nights! The accommodation is very simple but the beach is divine! Local food is available in the Ao Nam Mao center direction Ao Nam Pier, which is 8 minutes walk from the beach (I would suggest walking at the beach)! The owner is always very helpful and friendly! It makes one feels like part of the family! I will difinitely come back and this time with the whole family! To the owner, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for the awesome place!!! Minviluz

Quiet location in Ao Nam Mao, right in front of the beach. Some decks with little table, cushions and hammocks around. Perfect place if you want tranquility and be in the middle of nature as is full of trees, plants the sound of the same and little animals. Bungalows are clean and nice although some of them need a little bit of care. Water from the tab/shower if rather yellow but who cares when we are swimming every day in the beach. Good experience overall. People who run the hotel are very helpful and nice, always smiling. We only ate at the restaurant once and have to say that the green curry was delicious, one of the best I have tried in Thailand.

Enjoyed Our Stay”
Dawn of Happiness was a very nice location for a couple with small children who love being outside. There was a lot for them to do around the location, including, explore the beach, chase crabs, swing on swings, climb trees, etc. Plus, the location offered a lot of shade which was very helpful if you are worried about sunburn (and it was hot in April!). The staff answered any questions we had and were very helpful letting us know the best and cheapest way to get to Railay and other places. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay.

Dawn of Happiness is really a hidden gem. The property is like a lush jungle hideaway, tucked right on the beach. However, it is worth noting that some of the bungalows are badly in need of repairs. All of the hammocks and swings on the property are unusable, which put a damper on our beach time.

If you are a real traveler who is going to Thailand to experience the culture and beautiful people, and absorb the magnificent natural surrounding, then this is the place for you. If you are going to Thailand to party, stay in a resort/western style "box," never talk to locals, and just hang out with other vacationers (the term "traveler" is inappropriate for this kind), then stay far from here. This is the most special place I have ever stayed in while traveling and if you talk to the owner she will explain the history of the land. The location is amazing. The owners,staff and friends of owners are beyond amazing (make sure you join Jungle and his friends) and the actual bungalow was really special. I was so sad to leave this place and if I ever go back I will no doubt stay here again!

Must stay for beach enthusiasts!”
Location wise, it is a little far from Krabi town but if you are looking for something quiet (and it is by the beach), this is the perfect place. There is a place which is not walking distance though from where you can rent scooters. We went there last month during off season time. The property as a whole seemed a little run down. The room we got was clean but as described it was a little too small. There was just enough space to walk around the beds. Not enough to keep your bags around as there is no provision for keeping clothes. The bathroom was reeking a little of bird poop. Carry small locks because they don't have a safe just some small cupboards which is wall attached. By parking space they mean they have a lot of land outside and there was no security to keep guard of the vehicles parked. They claim there is a mini van service but the rates increment if it is a late night or early morning flight for a private taxi. They quoted different rates on different days. Their garden is just some overgrown unkempt plants. Overall, this place is perfect for travellers. Oh and they serve dinner and the food is to die for! Unless you don’t know the right places to eat, food can be a not so good experience in general. The dinner served here was our end of the day saving grace. The beach makes up for all that the place lacks. When the water recedes, it is a treasure trove out there. We saw corals, sea sponges, lots of crabs and small fishes. It was crazy seeing all that was in there. Do go if you are a beach enthusiast and if are fascinated by ocean life in general! And do check out the Emerald pool and the hot springs in Krabi. Also the panoramic view from the Tiger cave temple is a must see! We missed out on Railay Beach. But do spend ample time at Krabi. There is lots to see!

Great stop off point”
My sister and I arranged a night here when we landed in Phuket, we chose this as was close to the airport after a long flight. We got a taxi from the stand at the airport and they quoted 400THB. We went with that as we were so tired and relieved we at least found a taxi as our first time in Thailand! I also think not too bad as our fare was relatively short and he could have got a longer journey out of someone! Our room was lovely and clean with fridge and drinking water, wifi, surroundings we're lovely, they have decorated the outside really nicely (although no time to use the pool)! The staff helped us arrange a taxi to take us to the port to get a ferry in the morning and we bought a couple of beers in reception and went to bed. Omelettes for breakfast were awesome and you can help yourself to coffee in reception. Our taxi to the port was 800THB and was about 45mins. Great first night here. Would recommend.

This is a no frills and bare bones place that needs a good clean and some paint. That said, it’s perfect for a relaxing, quiet, tranquil, and wonderful escape from the busy and ugly side of a touristy area. The beach and the water quite literally will come up to your bungalow. We really feel the low scores are not fair as this is not a “resort”. This is a quiet and unique experience of getting away from the bustle. The owners were very nice to us, our room was good, the beer was cold, and the vibe was chill. If you want dinner or lunch, other than what they provide, just walk next door for a cocktail and noodles.

i can not say enough about this place the staff are amazing people, will help you out with anything they possibly can the room i stayed in was just what i imagined to be and i had truly found that tropical paradise that you imagine form the looking at travel brochures. the food and drinks was fantastic and well priced so there was no need to travel out for anything so if you are looking for somewhere simply to just stop relax and take the time to soak in the wonderful energy without rushing everywhere and want to just recharge your life batteries then this truly is paradise

Nice place, don't expect brilliance. The resort is very run down and staff weren't around a lot (though quite friendly otherwise). Being quiet season the whole area is kinda dead so don't expect a huge amount available with a lot of restaurants/shops opening late & closing early. But if you're just looking to chill out at the beach for a while, the place is a great choice. Really cheap, bungalow was nice, and it is literally right on the beach front. Being a little bit out of town meant that the resort had access to a really lovely patch of shoreline, quiet and clean with multiple hammocks set up for guests to use. Really enjoyed chilling out with a book and and the resort staff lent us a paddle-board for free which was pretty awesome!

The resort has all the things you need and is in a fabulous location, it is calm and there are buses driving you to the more busy area if you want to. The staff is super friendly, i just can recommend this place😊

I remember a nice stay in Dawn Happinnes. I felt like at home.. Sometimes only the birds were annoying but you can feel close to nature. Close to the beach. Helpful and friendly staff.

A bit rundown and chaotic but great location just on the beach, the hut is good, the chill out hut amazing. when we were there they run out of beer which was disappointing, and there was not much going on, but that's what we wanted. It's away from any action, but good for a night or 2 to chill out

This place is paradise. Cabins in the woods with a communal eating area next to the beach. The staff are great, very friendly and chatty. Breakfast is lovely and you make it yourself so you can have what you like. Water urn for constant tea or coffee. The dinner is a small extra charge which is worth it as they make a large traditional Thai buffet. Short walk to 7/11. Beach is beautiful with some hammocks and benches. Really gorgeous.

If you want to be a tourist and go to the islands and party and bla bla, dont go there, or stop for a night. But if you want to be in a very relax place, with super friendly staff, who take you as family and intruduce you their culture, even without the skill to speak en english, go there! Is the paradise! Over the beach, some hammacs, close to cheap food places, an quiet! We were looking for that and this place made it!! Easy access by public transport, clean, and when we were there only cold shower, but is thailand! Who needs hot water?! Low Key Paradise”
I travelled with my two sons (18 and 20). We all absolutely loved our stay. We booked 2 nights but stayed for 6 because it was so great and suited our low key travel style. We would stay here again for sure.
