Great location ”
Easily accessible to Yilan Train Station and night market. The mall was within walking distance. Comfortable rooms. They did provide shuttle service from train station to hotel.

About 5 mins walk from Yilan Station, quite easy to find the location. Most of the staff are superb friendly and they will suggest some attractions in Yilan and guide you the direction. The room is spacious and clean too. Overall, a good stay at Day-Chen Hotel.

Hotel Walking Distance from Railway Station & Night Market”
The hotel is located so close to the Yilan Railwan Station, and Night Market with only less than 1 minute walk from the hotel. However, the room sound proof matter might be causing less privacy for couple travelers for honey moon.

Clean, homely hotel with an excellent location.”
Though it may seem dated, Day Chen hotel boats an excellent location that is just a stone's throw away from Yilan town's largest night market. Lots of food to try at the night market, such as fried oyster omelette, scallion pancakes and deep fried fermented bean curd. We booked a room for 4 and it was clean and spacious. Staff mainly spoke Chinese, and were very cordial. Do try the beef and lamb noodles from the eatery just off the hotel's main entrance! Queue early to avoid the crowds.

Friendly staff and well-decorated hotel room”
We were there on New Year's Eve, the staff recommended all the countdown activities and places-to-go in the area while we check-in. Very friendly staff indeed. The rooms are themed and there is flexibility to choose which empty room to stay at. The hotel has a perfect location, where it is near to the YiLan train station, and with night market just round the corner. It was over my expectation to have stayed at a hotel like Day-Chen at such a reasonable low price.

Is located conveniently near yilan station, walking distance about 3 minutes. The receptionist very friendly and helpful. Although the hotel look a bit old, but the price is affordable. The room got different theme decoration just the price may varies. The breakfast is provided which is mcdonald voucher(selected meals). I personally like the room as it is clean. Inside got own personal bathroom and restroom so no need to share with others. Got hair dryer,water heater and freeze and tv. Toiletries and towel are provided.

Spacious room but hotel is quite old design”
Located near to Yilan train station... Provided breakfast coupon (McD)... The hotel is quite old, we being assigned to a corner room, the window can't be fully closed but luckily no issue happened during our stay... The staffs are mainly elderly, super nice and friendly.. Cleanliness is satisfactory and the room is spacious..

Good location”
The hotel is located at a good location, and the staff there are very friendly in assisting our 2 night stay there. However, the hotel does not provide breakfast in the hotel itself, but gave us McDonald meal voucher for our breakfast (which was a surprise, as we didn't know about it until our check-in). I noticed that there are others who stayed at other hotel and are using the same voucher as well when i was at McDonald for my breakfast. overall, it is a good hotel to stay in.

Didnt get what we booked for”
We did not get the same room we booked for via Agoda. Every room in this hotel is decorated differently. From Agoda site, we were led to believe that we paid for a certain room but when we reached there, they told us the amt we paid for only entitled us to the lower tier rooms. On Agoda, we booked cos of a discount given but that discount meant we got a down grade. Think Agoda needs to work this out with the hotel.

1st night was unfortable in a dark space deco room. Managed change to a better room on 2nd day. Breakfast, valued @ NT $55 for a muffin sausage with a coffee. Had difficulty requesting from Mac Donald counter staff to add egg to our muffins on our account. Fortunately, a male supervisor was there and allowed this option. 2nd day, same request for egg and was refused. Told staff we were allowed the previous day. Suggest, removing this rigidity. Customers can use voucher payment to offset for other type of breakfast. My rating 5 and about 2 stars hotel only.

hotel for really non fussy people”
the location was great, near night market and train station, there were lots of food stall near the hotel, so don't worry about supper. the hotel was run by a few elderly, and they were very friendly and attentive. however, the hotel condition was no so good, the room was very dark and there are weird smell in the toilet. the bed sheets and towels provided did not seem clean either. so if you are on a tight budget and are not that particular about hotel, you certainly can consider this one. As for me, the condition of the toilet was often the first priority on my list, so, i do not think i would stay in this hotel again.

Great location and value for money”
The location is great; very close to the train station, close to Louisa café, lots of restaurants, a pub in front, a night market. Our room was 201; it's not small and it looked clean. However, there was a cigar smell in the room and the culprit was the bathroom; we suspect it was someone in another room's bathroom smoking. We opened the windows for better ventilation (the weather was cool so no AC), but the noise from outside was somewhat loud. We did sleep OK. I would recommend it because of the location and value for money.

Right Opposite night market, clean, n good wifi”
The staff were mainly old people who speaks only Mandarin, thus if you do not speak Mandarin, you need to translate it using your handphone. It is right opposite the night market, which I do not expect, and the food were simply superb. Beside the hotel is a very famous old restaurant that is usually packed with people till evening. I enjoy my stay herre although it is only for a night.

Aircon in the room would stop and turn on randomly during the night. Hotel should fix it. Otherwise, bed was clean, staff were friendly and helpful and location was very good.

Great stay for good money”
Everything went smooth, starting with check-in. I had a local company with me so I cannot say whether the staff could speak English. The breakfast provided is just a voucher to McDonald's (one is just a few meters far) which I was not interested in. The room was clean and comfortable. I cannot think of any serious negative, just minor ones (no window, for example). Definitely recommended.

I feel the door security is not safe as the key is not able to lock from outside door. 2nd thing is Hotel should provide shower curtain. It's easy to get the floor wet.
