Not convenient. Staff poor English skills.
Food tolerable. Staff was helpful though limited in language skill. One bus (no transfers) to Shanghai University.
Noisy guests in the halls at 3 AM. Internet speed very very slow. Bed, very very hard.

Nice hotel, friendly staff
Inexpensive, ok location
you get what you pay for. it was a fair walk from the metro, but located where we needed it. they didn't clean the rooms as well as we would like and some of the fittings were in need of repair (towel rails etc).

Nice hotel, friendly staff
Inexpensive, ok location
the breakfast included only included one of us, so we needed to purchase the other for the two of us. relatively speaking it was cheaper to go elsewhere to purchase breakfast. the beds were a little hard but okay for a short stay.

Relatively inexpensive, friendly staff.
Inexpensive, adequate
The beds were a little hard, but could put up with that given the price. Don't book directly as it's 4 times the price - only go through Agoda. Book a few days before you turn up - they have trouble getting the vouchers from Agoda into their system on short notice.

Good price and nice service
Good price, big hotel room, clean, good service
This hotel is not in the city and takes 20mins to walk to the train station. This hotel is also close to a busy road name Zhenbei Road. The room they provide to Agoda is the one close to the busy road.

Would not go back
Clean, neat room.
We (wife and I) experienced several dissatisfaction with the hotel. 1) When we arrived at 6pm, hotel reception said their computer systems were down indefinitely, hence could not check us in. We had to leave our luggage and go out for dinner first. Luckily upon our return, they were able to check us in. We were required to put 300RMB as deposit for any room charges (please see note 5 later). 2) The hotel staff did not have a good command of Emglish and did not provide service with a smile. They were cold and unfriendly and unhelpful. 3) The air-conditioning in the room was only blowing outside air, and not cool air. When we asked, we were told the air con could not be turned out as it was not "summer". 4) The breakfast served in the restaurant was lukewarm at best. We were not at all accustomed to eating cold/lukewarm food. The selection didn't very much the 7 days we were there. 5) When we booked the hotel using, it was stated that the room was for 2 adults and breakfast was included. Upon check-out, the hotel informed us that free breakfast was only provided for 1 person per room. They were going to charge us for 3 breakfasts. We had stayed 7 nights, and had breakfast 6 days (not the last day as we headed to the airport early). Why were they only charging for 3 days and not 6? The non-speaking receptionist called the hotel management and after some moments of rapid mandarin, she gave us back our 300RMB deposit and said "ok." and gave us a dismissive wave. We were glad to be on our way home.

Decent hotel, poor location
Decent room for a nights rest
pros: fairly cheap, clean rooms. cons: semi-hard bed (not as bad as most chinese hotels though), carpets need changing. they're not sticky or anything but they've obviously seen their fair share of stains. it's a long way from the subway, so make sure you can get a car or a travel by taxi.
