Good place with great staff”
Good beds, & everything you need to stay a night or a week. Easy to reach, right off I-65 in Vestavia Hills, Hwy31. I arrived off a delayed flight in the middle of flashing flooding around 1 a.m. to a genuine welcome. I had my key in hand on my way to my room in 5 minutes. After a good night's sleep, day staff answered my questions, & confirmed me for a 2nd night due to the flash floods in Birmingham. Glad I chose Days Inn in Vestavia Hills. I was happy to stay.

Not a good pick if you're traveling alone.”
Hotel is perched on a hill with no easy access to front of hotel. Had to park my box truck in back. It was dark, lots of men outside drinking in back. Hotel layout is very confusing, can't get in without a key and long, long walk to front from parking. On side was several police cars with a dog on the ground arresting 3 men for drug possession. Once inside I was approached by a couple men wanting me to meet them in the bar that was connected to the front. This was non refundable or I would have left before parking. Very run down, bad element, hotel room was okay, not horrible, but not great. I was hungry when I arrived and passed on leaving my room for dinner because I felt unsafe.

We don't believe our room was cleaned before entering because there was garbage in our trash can when we first got there. I did not want to sleep our take a bath cause of ants and roaches.

Not a good place for the price”
This hotel is in desperate need of remodeling. The place itself seems run down and the premises, both inside and out, are not kept nicely. The room we had did not seem clean, and there was a distinct odor, maybe from mold or mildew? The people at the front desk were very nice and courteous. I suppose we could have asked for a different room, but we felt that it would have been the same pretty much in all the rooms, just judging from the whole setup.

Housekeeping ”
My stay is always pleasant when I stay there and they always accommodate you if you don’t like the room you were placed in. But now housekeeping could do a lot better check out time is 11 am me and my husband were sleeping and the same Indian housekeeper that always has bothered us basically just came in to our room waking us up just to see if we are checking out or staying over then her supervisor asked if we were staying or leaving their latest check out is literally 12pm and I told the housekeeper supervisor that we were leaving at 12 not even 5 mins go by and the Indian housekeeper is back at the door asking us to leave because it’s passed 11

The first of all I was given one room it was completely filthy. Move to another room and it was substandard. As we were unpacking for the few days we're going there I'll look down and found a syringe with black stuff in it. It did not have a cap. Found dirty clothes up under the bed. So this room was not clean either. Before I went to another room I told him whatever room they're giving me they better go over it with a fine tooth comb and make sure it is clean. This third room we were put into the hair dryer was hanging on the wall by one little bitty screw. We will never be staying here again.

They have roaches, rooms are half cleaned, staff is rude. None of the ice machines worked and the suite was just two bedrooms with the connecting door. It truly sucked for our Easter Vacation

They lure you in with the photo of the pool and the balconies and an affordable rate. Pool is nasty and closed, blamed it on rain. It’s been closed for a WHILE. Elevator i ls broken. Paint is peeling from balcony railings. Walls are peeling, ceiling popcorn is peeling. Towels were dirty, toiled doesn’t have a tank. Flushes loudly like a public restroom. Carpets were sticky to your feet. If that isn’t enough to tell you not to stay here, I don’t know what is. Not to mention they charge a $30 damages deposit. For $30 you could burn destroy the whole room and still get some cash back.
