Cigarette odor is a dealbreaker every time :(”
My only complaint is that the check-in lobby reaks of STRONG CIGARETTE ODOR. So you go in the check in for a room, and your clothes, jacket, and luggage carry cigarette odor for it. Absolute dealbreaker. Furthermore, Wyndham should ALWAYS provide hot breakfast. Guests feel cheated when they crave waffles for breakfast but have to settle for granola bars and Corn Flakes.

Mixed bag ”
My two-night stay consisted of an experience with three different rooms. Night #1 was entirely satisfying. I was pleased and l even told the desk clerk of my positive feelings. Night #2, however, was a different matter. The room in which l was placed the second night (which was not the same as the previous night's room) had an odor that was intolerable. The stink prompted me to seek a transfer to a different room, which the hotel clerk readily acceded to doing. The replacement room (#302) had issues of its own: it was musty-smelling (though far less repelling than the malodorous room), and the bed was a bit like a seesaw. Yes, the bed would literally move up from its platform when l sat on the edge of the mattress. There are two beds in all of the rooms, so moving over to the spare bed would have resolved this problem. I chose not to do that, though, simply out of consideration for housekeeping: both beds would then have had to be stripped clean following my stay. Being that l was a lone traveler, l didn't want to have that effect on housekeeping. On a different note, the hotel has free live music in its private bar every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

I checked in the afternoon that evening I went to set up the coffee maker. There was no place to plug it in. Fortunately I always bring a extension cord. I plugged it in. There was no on off button. It was broken off. In the morning I went to the office to complain. I was told it will be taken care of. I left for most of the day. When I came back around 4:00pm I was surprised that the room was not cleaned and they did not replace the coffee maker. I went to the office and spoke to the manager he told me that they don't clean ro oms or repla c e towels if you stay over another night .I also to him that the coffee maker was broken and he said he would call maintenance, if they have one they will replace it and bring us fresh towels The man came with towels and another coffee maker. That night I went to set up the coffee and found the pot didn't fit in the coffee maker. Again I went to check out and told him about the coffee maker. I also told him that if they weren't going to clean the room he should have mentioned it upon check in. His attitude was very bad and he acted like he didn't care each time I spoke to him

Bang for the Buck”
This was a great deal for the night we stayed. The room was nice. Stayed in a lot of motel rooms during my travels. Important things......good shower, refrigerator, microwave, comfortable bed and smell clean. This room checked them all off. Two thumbs up.

Adult Hockey Team”
This was good for our adult hockey team because it had adjoining rooms and we didn't have to worry about being quiet. The double beds are definitely small, but the bedding was clean and comfortable enough. Everything is dated and the carpet and bathroom definitely looked dingy, but we didn't expect much else. Good for a group looking for something cheaper, but not ideal for families or potentially solo travelers as the doors are thin and definitely some interesting characters around. The staff was very friendly.

Don't accept room in the back 2 sections”
If you stay in the section close to the main building (that houses no rooms) then you are probably getting a great value for the money. BUT if you don't like the smell of marijuana, might not be the place for you.

Staff are friendly and amenable. Breakfast options are poor. Rooms are tidy but felt grubby. Wifi was contstantly cutting out in the rooms, if you are a traveller and need wifi, don't stay here. Pay a little more

It was very handy to where I was going, as I came to Dubuque for a funeral. And it was available and affordable on short notice.
