Cheap/Recommend, but with caveat”
The hotel is the older "resort" style hotel. And it was ok...but very dated. If you are ok with cheap hotels, this one is not bad. Pros: 1) CHEAP, 2) breakfast included, 3) indoor pool, 4) newer A/C units in the rooms with nice adjustable selection/temp controls, 5) newer ceramic floors in rooms (not carpet). Cons: 1) not very well maintained/updated. 2) Leaks in roof (but not in rooms)., 3) breakfast was cereal, muffins, or toast. 4) pool only slightly heated 5) carpet stains throughout the common areas 6) Pool area has some safety concerns: shallow end ladder coming off the wall, 7) Hot tub not available (covered with wood) 8) sauna not available (stuffed with pool supplies 9) A/C lines exposed and holes in wall around lines (incomplete installation practice) Conclusion: this is a about a 2 star hotel...but shouldn't stop you if you are on a tight budget.

The room was ok. The walls had brown residue on them. The floor was sticky. The room itself had a moldy smell to it. It was loud music and people walking and talking loud at all times of the night. The air conditioning unit was extremely loud. The phone had buttons removed. The staff was good. The complimentary breakfast was not what it seemed to be. Just cereal and milk and orange juice not bananas. No fruit.

There was a car driving around in the parking lot and then made a crash, no one seemed to have been bothered by it. It was clean and I think they tried as much as they can to make it look nice just some flaws. Not a 5 star hotel so I don’t expect 5 star features.

The night clerk didn’t seem like he liked his job. The room is outdated. The door was stuck, we had to force it open and they have roaches

Door wouldn't shut without slamming it really hard. Room was ok but it was either bed bugs or whatever they wash the linens in, but we all got rash's. Neither washer worked in the laundry room which the nice desk person had to kick the door in to get in to. The keys kept having to be reset/recorded bc they wouldn't work. No continental breakfast as advertised. The whole building just looks dirty and smells terrible, very mildewy. I stayed here before when I lived in Alabama a long time ago and it wasn't a bad place but it had gone way down hill. It definitely needs an overhaul.

The room was filthy, literally had to sweep and mop on top of cleaning the bathroom with bleach. Asked for non smoking and room smelled of smoke. No bed bugs but was definitely bit by something multiple times while asleep .
