Overall great hotel and in good location
Hotel was in a great location as it was very close to the MTR, reataurants, little convenient stores, and of course, the forbidden city. Would not suggest booking a basement level unless you are alright with a musty room. A little pricey for the room I had, but still cheaper than other fancier hotel. The staff was very helpful, and at least one of the staff on duty could speak English. Great hotel overall!

Good Location; Bad Location
Location is good for being very close to The Forbidden City and Wanfujing with the Temple of Heaven not far way. However it was not so easy to find especially when you do find it and can't find the reception. The carpets were dirty but bed linen and other stuff was fine

The hotel shows sign of age. They have no English speaking ability. It is located very near the square and many attractions. But the rooms are very dirty and need update.

The hotel location is very close to Forbidden City. It's only take about 10 minutes to Forbidden Cit
We reserved this hotel, and get the underground room. The room is clean, but quite dark. The receptionist can speak English well, so we can ask a lot of attractive place to visit and how to reach there. They are so friendly.

Good location and vicinity to tourist spots
The hotel is located between two metro train stations (Tiananmen East & Wangfujing) along the Line 1, within walking distance (8-10 mins). There are some small eateries near the hotel that serve local cuisines. There is a Hutong (heritage living quarter) located just behind the hotel. Able to walk to Forbidden Palace and Tiananmen Square easily from hotel (20 mins fast paced). Wangfujing is 10 mins walk away and there are plenty of places to eat and shop over there. Will recommend for first time visitor who prefers to explore by foot. Easy to flag cab/taxi out the hotel, but suggest to walk to take the metro train to avoid wasting time getting stuck in the traffic. Room is clean and neat. Not a lot of amenities but comfortable.
