A great find on Kanoneiland ”
We really enjoyed our stay on Kanoneiland during our road trip. It is a beautiful venue with lovely gardens. My only criticism is the lack of a general information booklet in the room. I had to struggle to get the wifi password as the lady that booked us in did not know it. Other than that our stay was really nice. Will love to come back!

Loved all the attention form the staff. Attentive , always there, nothing is an effort, Elmarie went out of her way to accommodate us! We are back for sure. As a side note, we are seasoned travellers that have seen the world, this is our new oasis……

Wonderful lush, tranquil garden like paradise. opulent breakfast and delicious dinner in a classic old style atmosphere. It was our second stay and we come back for sure.

Stylish place with a few downsides ”
We stayed only 1 night after lots of driving. Pros; good and comfortable room Cons: No fridge No Braai facilities We didn't lock our car as we were busy removing bags and unpacking. On the next day we realised that a bag had disappeared as well as our 2 boxes of 3 bottles of special wine which we bought at the wine tasting In South Africa. That's too bad/frustrating. Our car was parked on the premises and the gate was closed. The welcome was also brief not very professional. No info was given. WiFi access hardly works. 2 chairs but No small table on the terrace in front of our room. We had to put our glasses on the floor! No toilet or bathroom door. We were served a hot breakfast but till we got the toast the breakfast was already cold. Too slow... Having stayed in many warm places with great host and facilities during this holiday we were disappointed. Its for sure not a 4* hotel as advertised.
