Excellent place to stay”
We have really enjoyed our stay there! It’s a beautiful and relaxing place, we were even able to use bikes to get around the beautiful lake. Everything is well organised, clean and over our expectations. It was friendly and people were lovely, i definitely recommend this place.

Owners were very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and of good standards. The owners ensured that everything was in good condition and working well. I really enjoyed the heater in the toilet as well and also the nicely partitoned kitchen to that gives ample space to everyone. Highly reccomended!

Room was small with a lot of furniture that we didn’t have much space to open our luggage. Also, the electric power tripped while we were trying to charge our phones and on the room heater (we were there in autumn and temp was single digit in the night m). They said we were using too many power sockets at the same time.

Lonely Planet described it as a hostel for older people (or words to that effect) and that really sums it up. Very relaxed and an excellent kitchen, albeit I didn't use it. Just a bit out of town, but fine if you have a car.

Very well run hostel/lodge. Great facilities, comfy beds, well set out, large kitchen. Great shared spaces, tranquil garden. The staff who showed us around was so wonderful and friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

7,5/10 the owner greeted us really well, we love the kitchen, oh and really close to the wanaka lake, just 7 minutes driving to the town center, but the room a little bit small for 4 people , but overall we had a great stay

Nice Lodge, little bit far from town center.”
We stayed in Wanaka as a quick stopover. The lodge is nice, with comfortable rooms and a huge common kitchen & living/social area. If you are looking for a cheap place to spend the night, Altamont definitely fits the bill. Our only gripes were the slow WiFi as well as the location; you'll definitely need a car to get to the lodge from the town centre. However, if you are driving then there is ample parking at Altamont.

They have most of room can stay up to 4 or 5 people. The bath room and toile are shared for the whole floor of 10 rooms. You need to use before crowd time. The best thing is the location, workable distance to Roy bay of lake Wanaka. Price is higher than other city.

Love the kitchen so much, incredibly organized and fully equipped with even Chinese wok and rice cooker. Lovely environment with huge backyard field which my daughter enjoyed doing her cartwheels.

Simple and nice”
10 mins to town. Sharing bathroom, bathroom is clean. Common kitchen with cooking utensil and cutlery. Shared living hall, can see the lavender outside the window and smell the fragrance. No TV and need to purchase internet service at $4/hr. Room can accommodate 3 person but the carpet is smelly due to wet carpet.There is a hot pool and we really enjoy it during the cold night. The host is friendly and suggest some night activity for us.

Keuken is top, iedereen heeft zijn eigen deel in de koelkast wat top is! Alles is schoon en de mensen die er werken en wonen zijn erg vriendelijk
