Super Aufenthalt. Sehr freundliches Personal immer mit einem Lächeln. Grosse saubere Zimmer,grosser Flat TV und gutes schnelles WLAN. Essen Preis-/ Leistung sehr gut.

Think twice before coming here!
The amount that we've paid is not worth it! Elevators are not working?! We have to go through the stairs all the way to the 5th floor with small kids!!! They did not even bother to compensate the inconvenience that we experienced. Upon checking in, the Front Desk Staff was on the phone for too long not even acknowledging the guest, I think she can do some chitchat at the back office. The Airconditioning and the toilet flush is not working properly. The food is not bad. Overall experience is very disappointing considering we are locals how much more with other nationalities.

Checked in to Best Western and received a pleasant surprise. Was given a free upgrade to The Solea Resort with a sea/pool view. Simply Fabulous. Rooms were great and the staff at Solea were fantastic. F&B were also great. A truly memorable stay. My choice hotel the next time I am Mactan, Cebu.

a big disappointment........
The hotel is made by chinese investors and has extremely low quality, it does not reflect the standards i expected, basically the quality of the hotel construction and the details are very low quality and the price we had to pay was 5 times more as it was worth in real..... I stayed 2 nights, but had 3 rooms during this stay, they were not able to assign me a King Bed room as booked, the first one had twin beds and was next to construction works, since the hotel is not ready yet..... The second room was more quiet, but again twin beds, even when the reservation systems said it was King Bed... The third room was finally King bed (second night), but looked over the construction next to the building..... The safety box did not work and was not mounted into the cupboard, so everybody could take it easily.... the fire alarm system was not working, they still had the orange covers on the sensors, so officially you are not allowed to run a hotel without this safety devices running....... Several pools were not finished and under construction. The staff was friendly and did their best, but they admitted the hotel was bad quality and not ready at all...... but they pushed the opening..... The room was not clean at all, the dust and dirt from the construction was everywhere.... In total it could be a nice place to stay, but the overall quality of the hotel is very bad..... and does not meet any western standards you might expect with a Best Western Hotel! I cannot imagine how you can get this hotel in good shape the way the overall quality of the building is..... I will contact Agoda for a refund, also to protect other from choosing this hotel, they had prices like Shangri-La Mactan, but only quality of a 2 star budget hotel... The view from the hotel towards the pool area and the seaside can be nice when all is finally finished, but more for Korean and Chinese tourists i guess.

Be sure to book solea, the new wing because it is nicer!
The resort was still partly under construction when we arrived. Beach is not fully developed for use. Only two pools were available, the infinity pool and the kiddie pool with the slide, which was enjoyable! The new wing check in front desk is gorgeous and modern. Elevator takea forever, we just use the staira. Food at the main dining hall is bleh, but you might as well get the breakfast buffet with your booking because there are no restaurants outside of the resort that's walkable. Outside of the resort is mostly poor area that is probably not safe to walk around unless you are with locals. We enjoyed the authentic filipino food at the restaurant on the best western side. A lot of mosquitoes. I think I got bit 5 times during my stay there and I did use insect repellant . Room and bathroom is spacious. Our toilet was seat was broken. The drain in the shower was kind of slow. Toothpaste is only a one time complimentary? No sport activities available, in contrary to the advertisement on their website. Wifi is bad, always in and out. We probably wouldn't stay again.

stingy place
No English breakfast tea for breakfast unless you pay extra. I thought that was basic. Shower water pressure was very weak, check out slow, so slow that by the time my taxi arrived to take me to airport they are still not done. I demanded to go and was held back saying they haven't check the room. strange considering they do have my card security deposit. Even bedroom slippers and basic tea in room has to be upon request. Room charged for 3 but only 2 given. The poor housekeeper had to come to our room to bring all those at least 3 times. Counter staffs are politely sarcastic and incompetent.
