Ein wunderbares Guesthouse in zentraler Lage. Die Inhaber und Mitarbeiter sind herzensgute, hilfsbereite Menschen! Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Unser Zimmer verfügte über eine sehr gut funktionierende Klimaanlage und ein bequemes Bett. Über das Guesthouse kann man sämtliche Touren und Fahrräder buchen, dabei helfen die Mitarbeiter gerne und zuverlässig.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt im Bun Kao Guesthouse! Der Besitzer und seine Familie sind sehr nett und konnten uns bei vielen Fragen helfen. Das Frühstück ist üppig und lecker!

Ganz ok. Aber im März 2016 Baulärm ”
Das Guesthouse ist ok, allerdings wirkt es ziemlich ausgestorben und ist definitiv kein Platz zum Leutetreffen. Im März 2016 wurde im Naxhbargebäude gebaut und es war zeitweise sehr laut. Die anderen GGuesthouses in der gleichen Straße sind besser.

Leider nicht zufrieden”
Wir waren mit dem Bun Kao Guesthouse leider nicht zufrieden. Aus unserer Sicht war es das schlechteste Hotel auf unserer Reise durch Laos/Vietnam/Kambodscha. Schon bei der Anreise wurden wir enttäuscht, da wir nicht wie ausgemacht vom Flughafen abgeholt wurden und stattdessen unser Taxi selbst zahlen mussten. Der "Free Airport Pick Up" wurde einfach nicht durchgeführt. Bei unserer Beschwerde stießen wir nur auf Desinteresse. Vom Personal war keinerlei Bemühungen zu erkennen, dass sie ihren Fehler irgendwie wieder gutmachen möchten, noch dass sie sich entschuldigen wollen. Die Bettlaken und Handtücher waren voller Flecken. Als wir von einem Ausflug zurückgekommen sind, konnten wir für 10min nicht in unser Zimmer, da es für uns hergerichtet wird. Als wir dann ins Zimmer konnten, war es genau so wie wir es verlassen hatten. Kein Müll entleert, kein Bett gemacht, nichts gewischt, ... Das Hotel bietet Buchungsservice für Ausflüge etc. an. An unserem letzten Abend wollten wir den Zirkus 'Phare' besuchen. Das Personal hat uns nach zwei erfolglosen Telefonaten überzeugend erklärt, dass an dem Abend leider keine Vorstellung stattfindet und sie uns deswegen keine Tickets besorgen können. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht und haben bei einem anderen nachgefragt und siehe da, wir haben Tickets für die Show am Abend bekommen und sie hat auch stattgefunden! Wir können das Bun Kao Guesthouse deswegen definitiv nicht weiterempfehlen!

Schönes Hotel, netter Service und ruhige Lage!”
Sehr freundlicher Empfang, das Zimmer war groß und bot genug Platz, um den Inhalt der Rucksäcke komplett auszubreiten. Der hotelinterne Laundryservice war schnell und mit sauberem Endresultat. Das im Preis inklusive Frühstück wurde schnell und freundlich serviert. Kaffee, Wasser und Tee stehen permanent den ganzen Tag zur freien Verfügung und werden immer nachgefüllt. Mehrtägige Touren und weiterführende Trips können ebenso gebucht werden, wie Tagestouren. Alles in allem eine absolute Empfehlung!

Dear sir thanks for booking and staying with us. for that room it is number 15 other customer was stay before you and latter another customer stayed after you they didn't meet anything when we asking about that room and they said it was fine. Maybe the problem is your skin Allergy or Reaction with our bed sheet blanket and tower because we wash and clean with the powder detergent soft toner and some liquid for good cleaning and kill Bacteria. Otherwise thank you.

Very nice family, and the location is excellent; very easy access but on a quiet street. The room wasn't cleaned all the way before we got there, this looked like an honest mistake though. We asked about it the next morning before we left and when we came back everything looked good. Would recommend them to anyone looking for a good but inexpensive spot.

Modest room but valuable for the price and the location. The staff is so sweet but if you want to leave the house early in the morning, tell them the day before because they close the door until 7 am for security...

I liked the friendliness of the host family, in particular the patriarch, as well as the fact that they provided free water and breakfast (although paid). I also liked the fact that they upgraded me free of charge to a larger, very spacious room. They also took care of the transport to my next destination, for a good price and with picking up at the guesthouse. I didn't like the fact that the room was too hot and we had to pay more for air conditioning. The room was also a little dirty, especially the bedding (eg the duvet had stains).

A good homestay for a budget traveler”
The staff at Bun Kao Guesthouse are nice and friendly. I booked a single bedroom with a fan but since the room, hot water in the shower is not working, the owner upgraded me to a bigger room. The room has basically have what you need but it could be cleaner. The guesthouse is not that far from the main area of the City, only a few minutes' walk to Pub Street.

The owners are very friendly and accommodating. It is a short walk to bar street where most of the good eateries are. The rooms are nice and spacious for the price.

Location is near good food and convenience stores, yet in a quiet and safe enough street. Also, many tuk-tuk drivers on standby outside the hostel, so it's very convenient to travel to Pub Street / Old Market. The owner and staff were very kind and always smiling, I felt very welcome in the place. The room they gave me was big (they upgraded my accomodation when my previous room got booked). The free daily breakfast, though modest, was also a nice touch. Also, I appreciated that they let me borrow their computer behind their desk for an online transaction I had to do. Overall, a good hostel I would recommend to friends and family.

Great stay ”
We crave for authentic local guesthouses everywhere we go, especially in South east Asia, and this one ticks all the boxes. It's run by a lovely family that smileys all time and wants to make sure you are happy. All my emails before booking were replied within 2 hours. the bedroom was huge, clean, with air con, fan, good pressure on the shower and 2 windows.The breakfast was simple but good with a choice of baguette or toast with eggs the way you like it. It felt comfortable and safe and it was quiet . It definitely had the feel of a guesthouse rather than a hotel, even during breakfast we always end up talking with other travellers which was so good... There are hotels with swimming pools nearby where they let you in if you buy some food. It's 15 min walk to Pub street or $2 on a tuktuk. Speaking of tuk tuk: Mr Khunna that works with Kun Bao was fabulous and so patient, we were in some temples for hours and he never got grumpy, we loved Mr Khunna, best tuk tuk driver in SEA.
