Es hätte perfekt sein können! ”

Insgesamt hatten wir einen angenehmen Aufenthalt im Brother Inn. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam (sie beachten mir bzw. zu meinem Geburtstag einen Kuchen aufs Zimmer und jodelten ein Geburtstagsständchen für mich. Das war sehr lieb! :)) Das Frühstück war ebenfalls gut, allerdings hatten wir leider Pech mit einem sehr feuchten Zimmer. Wenn man hinein kam roch es nach Schimmel. Das Bett war äußerst klamm, sodass wir vorm Schlafengehen Handtücher untergelegt haben. Wir wissen aber nicht ob das in jedem Zimmer der Fall war (unser Zimmer war Nr. 302). Sehr schade um das eigentlich sehr gute Hotel!

Nettes Personal”

Super freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, was auch keine Touren aufschwätzt sondern berät. Die Lage ist als Ausgangspunkt zur Besichtigung von Hanoi optimal alles ist ohne Probleme zu Fuß erreichbar. Lediglich die Sauberkeit der Zimmer lässt wünsche offen, das große Problem hier ist allerdings die enorme Luftfeuchtigkeit und daher feuchte Zimmer, Möbel und Betten ob das wie uns erklärt wurde nur am Wetter liegt oder nicht doch eher an der Bauweise ist fraglich. Für den Preis ist aber alles in Ordnung.

Perfekter Aufenthalt, guter Trip to sapa and halong bay”

Wir waren einige Tage in diesem Hotel und haben die Freundlichkeit des Personals sehr genossen. Besonders mr. Hai hat uns zwei besondere Touren nach sapa und zur halong Bucht beschert. Wir würden wieder kommen!

Kleines Hostel in der Altstadt von Hanoi”

Das Hostel ist schön gelegen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die waren sauber , hatten jedoch das Zimmer im obersten Stock und nebenan ist eine Rooftopbar in der jeden Abend bis 23 Uhr die Musik auf Anschlag läuft. In der Nähe gibt es viele Restaurants und Bars

Good hostel with friendly staff”

We had a good stay, the staff was very friendly and tryed their best to make our stay as confortable as possible. The room wasn't that nice, because there was a wall in front of the window. AC, hot shower, wifi everything was there and well working.

Clean spacious room, great shower with hot water and strong pressure, great breakfast, water/tea/coffee/fruit always available for free in the lobby. Great location. Right in the middle of the old quarter but still quiet at night. 10 min walk to the smaller lake. Night market on weekends is about 5 min away. Felt super safe in this location as a solo woman in Vietnam for the first time. The only warning I would give is that the beds were very soft. Something to be aware of if that bothers your back. Most importantly: exceptional staff. Really loved the guys who worked at the desk. They were helpful, cheerful, funny, and always greeted me like an old friend when I went in our out. I’ve had a lot of great staff throughout my month in SEA, but these guys were the best of all. They made me feel so welcome and cared for—and their English is exceptionally good. They also give a very helpful map and guide when you check in with local attractions and their favorite restaurants.

I spent 3 nights in this hotel and booked tour package with them. Their service was excellent. Mike the staff in-charge-online response responded very fast. Gary, Kevin , Harry and Richard were very friendly and helpful. I even made friends with them. I love that they are very generous giving insight tips as a Vietnamese themselves. The room was clean and tidy. I love the location which is in the middle of hustle bustle old quarter and I can easily access to many touristic places and shops there. I would love to come back again! Highly recommended!

Very pleasant experience”

I only have good words to say. This hostel is in the heart of Hanoi. Wifi and aircon are very good. The staff is very very friendly and super helpful. We will never forget the kindness of the young and handsome male staff, I forgot his name but he helped us with a problem we encountered with a different tour service provider. I will not go into details but he was so kind. A bonus, there is a century old Pho resto along the lane towards the left side of the hostel that serves super delicious Pho; so mouth watering! I believe it's on 49 Bat Dan.

Everything you need for a short stay in Hanoi, but booked us onto wrong transportation ”

As the hotel itself goes, we had no complaints, the staff are friendly and will help you with any places you want to visit in Hanoi. The rooms are spacious and the bed was comfortable. Right in the middle of old quarter so everything you need and want to visit is well within walking distance. However, when we booked onward transportation to Ha Giang we opted for the more expensive VIP option. Instead of VIP we were driven around in a mini van for 2 hours picking people up and then deposited at the bus station and placed on the public sleeper bus. So we need not have paid extra at all and were evidently sold a lie so perhaps organise your travel elsewhere.

Very kind staff, but misleading photos”

Our room didn’t look like the photos on Agoda. We were on the top floor, which is a very precarious climb up 5 steep flights of stairs- the last flight is flimsy metal stairs. It seemed the room was a roof converted to a room? The noise from the next door rooftop bar was extremely loud until midnight. Our shower was basically unusable because the shower head would fly off as soon as you turned on the water. The staff were very friendly, breakfast was good, and the a/c worked well. Basically you get what you pay for.

All in all it's a super nice place with a very motivated team. Gary and his brothers are very helpful and give great advice and recommendations for not only tours but also restaurants in the area. We booked a great cruise to Halong Bay through them and could leave our luggage without any problems. They also offer an airport shuttle for 15$ a car, which is about the same for a taxi, just without getting scammed. Nice place, great hosts, can't complain when it comes to value for money.

One of lousy motel”

This is one of worst motel that I ever stayed in Hanoi.. We stay in ground floor and the bed is wide and length have been modified to it’s short wide and length that typical single bed . Very very uncomfortable. The room is next to kitchen and can heard the staff preparing and cutting ingredients in the middle of night which make impossible to sleep. I was wondering how can this motel can get good review ?
