Lovely team at Khaosan Tokyo Laboratory! The location is a 2 min. walk to the Tawaramachi station and a nearby Family Mart. Staying here made going around Asakusa-Ueno super easy. Would def stay here again on our next Tokyo visit. Grace

Exzellent”

This hostel has such a warm vibe and every corner is filled with cute and witty details. No wonder it's always booked. I would stay here again! It's an excellent home base since it connects you from the airport via Asakusa station and in going around you can easily hop off the Tawaramachi station (Ginza Line). Lots of stores and points of interest nearby. I got all my shopping needs (Japanese snacks) in this area.

Excellent Location - Great Accomadation near central metro tokyo”

This is an ideal hotel for families, and what is really great is the daily fun activities ( they should also be available on Saturday and Sunday ). The pantry is also neat and tidy, but can be better equipped with more beverage options.

Great hostel, friendly staff”

My wife, ten year old daughter and baby stayed for two nights and really enjoyed the hostel. We had a big room with two beds and a bunk above which suited us perfectly. The kitchen facilities are good and our daughters particularly liked the "power nap" area on the top floor as a place to read, play or just crawl around. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and the subway and airport train stations are just a few minutes walk. Recommended.

the location of this hotel is excellent. Near to the train station and also 10 mins walk to the nearest temple for street food. Staff was extremely friendly when you want to get more info about the whereabouts. Excellent stay!

This was my first experience for dorm sharing, was given a three-beds room and I really enjoyed my stay here. Very helpful and friendly staffs, great location, transportation was easy, I will definitely come back!

Love this Hostel to the Max”

It was the MOST welcoming stay for me and my friends (3 pax) All the staff there spoke superb English and they were really generous on providing information of their local attractions. They'd advice you on how to get to wherever you want and they will even print out maps for you so that you wouldn't get lost. Pantry is on the 6th Floor. If you reach early and not able to check in, you can bathe on the 6th Floor. Laundry can be done too. Smoking area is also on the 6th Floor. They have a board filled with information of interesting places for you to visit (E.g. The Lock Up Restaurant, Yu Rei Restaurant, Robot Restaurant, Studio Ghibli and etx etx) all pinned up. They greet you each time they see you and they always ask and make sure that you day was alright when they see you. Feels like we are a family. There are lots of Eateries and Souvenir shop that you can visit as well. It is also very near the Tokyo Sky Tree Tower. Few mins walk to Bus Stops and Asakusa Train Station. There is a direct train straight from Asakusa Train Station to Narita Airport as well. When we left, we even get a cute farewell gift! Good Location, Value for Money, Awesome Staff, Awesome Service. Will definitely go back there again when I am travelling to Tokyo!

Budget stay in Asasuka”

Newly opened hotel with friendly staff. However, you need to prepare your own towel or rent towel from the counter cost 150 yen/ towel. The common is super clean and we can cook food as the facilities are given. Love this hotel and definitely will stay again when visit to Tokyo next time.

the stay was ok.the hotel is recently open but it was previously and old building.the private room was big.the aircond function well.there is lift.level 6 is the common area-kitchen-power nap place-laundry.Everything is fair

It’s all good except the room looks like they didn’t clean it before we came. you can clearly see dust floating before your face. If you are allergic to dust like me you might need to ask them to clean before you go in to your room.

Good location within walking distance to Tokyo Metro subway, Senzoji, and shopping area. The room is a bit small and the bathroom door could not be locked. The hotel said they would fixed it but it was not happen during our 6 day stay. The air condition has also not fully functioned.

Near Shopping Place (Don Quijote) and Convenient Store(Lawson, Family Mart) Staffs are so friendly. There are tea and coffee for free. But The hotel can't afford to soundproof my room, I can hear people talked from outside.

We, as a family, really had a pleasant stay in Khaosan Tokyo Laboratory. Amy, one of the receptionist, was very kind and patient in entertaining all our inquiries from where to eat, which subway to take. She even went out of her way to answer my 4 year old boy's questions about dragon ball Z. Hehe. Kidding aside, the moment you step out of khaosan tokyo lab, everything is within reach. It's a walking distance to ikinari steak house, tenya, asakusa rox, mega don quijote, sumida river tour, and family mart is just near the corner. Among all 3 hotels that we stayed in during our last trip, this is the only hotel where we could widely open all 4 large suitcases. Room size is big. 2 beds with a bunk bed. Even the bathroom is big. And another plus, there's TOEI subway that goes straight to Narita terminal 2-3. A big thanks to Amy for that info.Just a heads up, we didn't locate the elevators going to subway platform.

Fantastisch”

My parents and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It's in lovely Asakusa, just a leisurely walk to Sensouji Temple and loads of streets where you can buy interesting knick knacks and great food. We also appreciated the private bathroom in our 4-person room, plus the kitchen and dining area in the 6th floor. The staff was very patient and prompt with answering all my questions and were always ready to help with directions and tips. We will definitely stay here again, and soon!

Perfect stay for family traveller”

Very good location as it is near convenience market, station and Asakoji temple. For muslim traveller, very easy to find halal food, like Saray Kebab, Asakusa Sushi Ken, Naritaya Ramen, etc. The room is clean and comfort for stay with family. We can use kitchen and laundry with complete utilities. The staff is very helpful.

This is a very clean hostel, good value for budget travellers. Very convenient for those with children. We valued the use of a good-sized kitchen dining area and laundry facilities. The location is excellent to access the rest of Tokyo and surrounded by convenient shops and restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff.
