Zum chinesischen Neujahr noch einigermaßen bezahlbar, aber sein Geld dennoch nicht wert”
Boiler im Bad ausgebaut (da vermutlich kaputt), deshalb nur kaltes Wasser in unserem Doppelzimmer zum Duschen. Alle drei Raumabzüge bzw. Belüftungsventilatoren kaputt, daher miefig, Bettbezug war zwar gewaschen, aber hatte einen circa Faustgroßen Blutfleck, Wand hatte einen tiefen Riss (was nicht störte, optisch aber auch kein Hingucker war), im Haus wurde abends zwar nicht groß gefeiert, aber bis in die Nacht Karten gespielt/ getrunken etc., sodass man alles lautstark im Zimmer vernehmen könnte. Auch die Gäste im Appartment über uns waren deutlich mit ihren Schritten (Gestampfe) zu hören. Positiv war, dass es Wasser und Bananen gab. Und auch die Lage war relativ zentral. Wir hatten das Haus ausgewählt, weil es für Luang Prabang preislich noch einigermaßen im Rahmen dessen war, was Hostels in Laos normalerweise kosten. Wir hatten in Laos aber zuvor nur bessere Unterkünfte für weniger Geld.

Super Lage & nettes Personal”
Nach unerträglicher Busfahrt ein recht kleines aber definitiv ausreichendes Zimmer & Bad mit bequemer Matratze, Klimaanlage und Hygieneartikeln sowie Wasser im Zimmer. Rezeptionist sehr freundlich und bemüht!

Angenehmer Aufenthalt - jeder Zeit wieder”
Der Aufenthalt war super. Die Zimmer waren sauber; das Wasser warm; die Lage zentral, aber nicht zu laut und das Personal super hilfsbereit und freundlich. Ich würde jeder Zeit wieder buchen.

Man erhält zu wenig für sein Geld”
Wir waren als Backpacker mit nicht zu hohen Ansprüchen unterwegs. Das Mojo Guesthouse ist für diesen Zweck in Ordnung. Aber wirklich wohl gefühlt haben wir uns auch nicht. Das Zimmer war sauber, aber das Bad dunkel, miefig und nicht wirklich sauber. Der Gegenwert für's Geld stimmt einfach nicht. Setzt man das aber zum Verhältnis mit Luang Prabang (die Stadt ist einfach überdurchschnittlich teuer) ist es OK. Also für Urlauber mit geringen Ansprüchen empfehlenswert.

Tolle Lage, schlechte Zimmer”
Die Zimmer waren alt und dreckig. Es lag ein eckelhafter Teppichboden im Raum. Die Dusche war schimmelig und das Waschbecken funktionierte nicht. Morgens wurden wir durch Baulärm geweckt, abends war (wie in der Beschreibung)sehr laute bis Livemusik.

Bedbugs everywhere !!. We had to sleep on the floor in our bedroll. Sink and Toilet broken (water everywhere). Mold on the walls. Do yourself a favour and stay away.

ABSOLUTELY AVOID AT ALL COSTS”
BEDBUGS!! BLOOD STAINED SHEETS AND PEOPLE ENTERING OUR PRIVATE ROOM AT THEIR OWN FREE WILL. Lock away all valuables! We wish we’d seen other negative reviews for this place before we stayed. The first room we were put in was in the basement, covered in mould and damp. We were moved the next day to another room full of bed bugs and were bitten from head to foot - both rooms had filthy blood stained sheets and pillows, and towels that were very dirty and smelly. One day we came home to find that someone had been in our room and left things not as they were (but luckily nothing missing as all locked away in our bags). On noticing the bed bug bites we asked to check out, and we asked for a refund of the last night of our 3 night stay to find alternative accommodation - the owners refused and said to take it up with Agoda. Please avoid at all costs, terrible, terrible, terrible. And not even particularly cheap and terrible!

Room is not cleaned every day. The owners dog went into room, also. Disgusting.........

Aware of bed bugs”
Watch out for bed bugs on your bed, many of them in many beds. I got the mother on mine, never saw a bed bug so big and fat full of eggs. Staff seems not to take care of the problem.

Cheap but not cheerful”
Stayed 2 nights in a private room- it had no windows was damp and dirty. Moved to a dorm for the 3rd night. Of the 3 toilets only 1 worked. Very dirty bathrooms- I didn’t even want to shower in them. This place is alright for the price- we came during Chinese New Year so this was the cheapest place we could find.

Checked in and hotel was full so we were transferred to another hotel. The next hotel’s toilet was broken so we were immediately transferred to another room. The next room’s AC wasn’t working so we were transferred to another room. In our third room we discovered the WiFi didn’t work and after talking to the staff for about 30 mins they finally reset the router. The location is great but the beds weren’t comfortable and there’s wasn’t anything great about the room.

Bedbugs and run down”
Our room with a double and a single bed had bedbugs. We Sav the black dots and old blood stains on our bedding, and when we asked the staff they said that had had bedbugs a few months ago, but it was fine now. It was not, 5 min after we saw a huge live bed bug crawling across the double bed. Also the room was run down, there was a hole in the bed board, the drain in the bathroom was leaking water onto the floor and the showerhead was hanging loose because there was no holder. But the absolute deal breaker was of course the bedbugs. We informed the staff we wanted our money back, but they weren't too happy with it and tried to make a deal about money for one night and then we could get another room the next day, which of course was not acceptable. Their reaction also told us that they knew they still had bedbugs, they just lied to keep us there. Which explains why they didn't buy new bedding. Absolutely don't go there.

mojo guesthouse is in a perfect location near a supermarket and with all bars within 5 minutes walking distance, same with restaurants. our shower wasnt very warm but its ok because the weather is boilin hot, air con and fan worked perfectly. motorbikes are a bit pricey to rent around £10 a day but pretty average everywhere! overall good value for money

Free bananas, water and coffee. Good lockers. Beds and bathrooms weren't great and place could do with some maintenance, but reasonable for the price/area

BED BUGS!!!”
Be aware of a huge population of bed bugs!! Ask for checking the room before paying otherwise you won’t get your money back. We tried to talk to the stuff but they just ignored us.
