Direkt in einer Straße am Fluss gelegen bekommt man hier viel Frischluft ab ;-) ansonsten ist man hier mitten im Geschehen oder es ist fußläufig erreichbar.. die Besitzer sind auch sehr freundlich und immer vor Ort und ansprechbar.

Nettes zentralgelegenes Hostel ”

Ich war drei Nächte dort. Die erste in einem Zimmer ohne Klimaanlage. Leider auch ohne Fenster. Ging gar nicht. Konnte aber am nächsten Tag direkt eins mit Klimaanlage bekommen. Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und sauber ist es auch. Ne viel bessere Lage gibt es auch nicht. Quasi fußläufig zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten und dem Nachtleben, wobei die Straße des Hostels ruhig ist.

Zweckmässiges Dormitori ”

Die Betten sind gut und das Dormitori verfügt über eine Klimaanlage und Ventilatoren. Leider war bei meinem Aufenthalt eine Lampe kaputt. Die gab ein nervendes Geräusch von sich. Aber ansonsten gibt es nichts zu bemängeln.

Chambre familiale spacieuse (avec petit balcon) et propre. Salle de bain privative avec une douche qui fonctionne bien. Literie confortable. Accueil chaleureux des propriétaires et délicieux cafés cambodgiens. Bien situé dans la ville.

I caught the train from Sihanoukville to Phnom Penh and needed a place to crash/shower/store backpack while I went to a restaurant and waited for the overnight bus to Siem Reap ... I got a great single fan room that enabled me to do everything that I wanted to do ... very friendly and helpful English speaking staff

A night Stay At Velkommen Backpackers Guesthouse”

I booked a Double bedded room with Fan.To my surprise,there is water collected inside the Mattress in one side of the Bed which I sat on the bed which cause my trouser to get wet on my buttock.So I have to sleep on the side of the bed since it`s a Double Bed.There must be water leaking from the ceiling down to the Mattress.To my opinion,the guesthouse House-Keeping maids did not pay much attention to the mattress & bed on their daily routine maintenaince of the room.

Quiet stay nearby happening street”

There is river and pub street around the area, but the hostel located in a silent alley, which is great for accommodation. It just take us couple minutes of walk to night market and pub. We both rent a bicycle beside the hostel and hit up attractions in the city. However, the road situation is slightly dangerous for cycling.

Great location, gets the job done”

I stayed here for 3 days and I absolutely loved its location. However, the single room with ensuite bathroom did have a very strong musty odour. I was seldom in the room during the daytime so I could bear with it. If you are looking to chill in the room for long hours instead of touring around town maybe look for alternatives.

It's OK. You get what you pay for. Stayed in single bed room with fan only and shared bathroom. Not that clean but not smelly. Very simple room, and quite tiny. Mattress was ok, but the cover not so much. It's the kind that develops lint balls, and it has already developed quite a few during my stay. The shared bathroom felt the same, not so hygienic and clean. I'm not picky or snobbish, im just saying it as it is. It's pretty much what I expected when I chose to stay here. Now you know what to expect. They have a foosball cabinet in the lobby/resto. So, that was fun.

Avoid at all cost”

First nighr rhere was bedbugs in the room - Two beds were infected. The guy at the reception invites his crew everynight and they start to scream all night long, it s irritating and my ears couldn't handle it anymore. It seems they are i n the playground. There is a big lck of electricity pug as I couldnt even plug my tablet in the room. To be honest, avoid this hostel, worst in town. even for the price, avoid.

No large double room exist. Don't get ripped off”

Don't book the large double room. You pay more and just get the small double room. Customer service is just terrible. I don't think the owner knows anything about marketing or good customer service. Ask to get fresh towels like 10 times. Never got them. Stay away from this place.

Don't get rip off by getting 40sq room”

Paid more to have the more expensive double room. Owner says that room doesn't exist and just gave me the cheaper room. Blame the mistake on Agoda. service = terrible bed = not real mettress. styrofoam mattress. Bring your own towels. They run out. Only hand soap in the bathroom.

Mouldy”

Our room should not have been available to use, insanely hot, the fan was dirty so it just sprayed hot dusty air all over the room, it was damp and mouldy. When I say mouldy I’m talking mouldyyyyy, you really could not breathe in the room. The shared bathroom was mouldy, damp and crazy hot, the shower was ok, but I jumped in and out because the smell was awful, hot, mouldy, sh1t all rolled into one smell! Also the towels made me and my girlfriend very itchy, so no idea what’s going on there. Payed £5 a night and we thought how bad could it be? BAD was the answer, you could not pay me to sleep in that room again. The staff were nice and friendly, I believe they bought the place a few months ago and are working on it. HOWEVER when you’re from Denmark (owners) you should understand that mould THAT bad is seriously bad for your health.. the excuse that it’s just Cambodia is ridiculous, have some standards because it’ll punish you in the end. I didn’t want to write this because I liked you guys, but we’ve not stayed anywhere in such bad condition for that price the whole way round Asia in the last 4 months!! Until you get all this mould, damp, heat, and ventilation sorted, some rooms should not be available!!

Bed bugs n dark n smelly bathrooms ”

I stayed at dorm room with 12 beds. There are two bathrooms with no lights n no bed lights at the Dorm room. Not enough concents for all. Cleaners don’t clean the floors they changed sheets n only. In the dark n humit Dorm we killed many incects such as bed bugs cockroaches n mosquitoes. I told about insects but ppl at hostel they didn’t care at all. I went to buy things to kill the insect n afterwards went to pharmacy to get steroid creams , painkiller , antibiotics n anti histamine tables to recover. On the other side I saw so many guests eat and drink at on their beds..... I was speechless for that....

We had our door stuck after 1 shower and they did their best to release the lock. ultimately had to break the lock. Great commitment to ensure that we have a proper shower with heater as their other toilet didnt have a heater. Was helpful to allow us a call to the bus company to confirm our booking. Staff provided us the help we required in and outside of the hostel. Hostel was just beside the quay and was overall a delightful experience with them

Perfect location!”

Perfect location for backpackers! The room was big with 2 double beds for 3 of us, AC worked well plus 2 fans! Bathroom was big too only thing was the shower was freezing! Like most in asia though and can't complain for the price. Games downstairs to play, friendly atmosphere.
