The Best Choice When You're in Tokyo”

I couldn't ask for better accommodation than Ryogoku. It's the ultimate value for money, especially if you're traveling in groups. It is across a JR station while the subway is only a few minutes away by walk. The Edo-Tokyo Museum, which is one of the most beautiful museums there, is only 300 meters away. You'll never run out of good and affordable places to eat whether you're craving for an Italian meal or a bowl in Matsuya. It is also beside a hospital while below it is a nice, cozy cafe. Across it is McDonald's while Family Mart and Newsday are only a few steps far. We had a smooth check-in and check-out process while the staff were all friendly and hospitable. Unless you put up the Do Not Disturb sign, they will clean your room and replace all your linens and towels. They will even replenish your used amenities if you tell them. Our room was small but enough for four. You can bring food inside, which helps when you don't want to overspend. This hotel is just perfect!

The place is perfect to get around Ryōgoku. It's just across the street from Ryōgoku station; you can recognize the hotel right away when you arrive by train. It's easy to get to Akihabara from this station. There are many places to eat close by, from McDonald's to local sushi and shabu shabu restaurants. Also, there are plenty of interesting museums just around the corner (however, keep in mind that they are all closed on Mondays). You can also walk around the Sumida river and cross a couple of nice bridges over it. If you want to go to Tokyo Skytree, there's a bus stop in front of the hotel; the bus only costs ¥100 to get to this amazing tower. The staff understands English very well. The rooms were clean. The bathroom is small by occidental standards, but still usable. The buffet breakfast is amazing; they have a nice variety of dishes to pick from and the restaurants have a nice atmosphere. All in all, this hotel is highly convenient, comfortable and clean.

We had a great stay at Ryogoku View Hotel. Hotel employees were so friendly and approachable. We didn't have any problem at all while staying at the hotel. The room was clean as well and they have reminded us that housekeeping will be cleaning the room everyday as long as you put the sign on the door. Hotel is right across Ryogoku station so you will not have a hard time on transportation. I will definitely stay here again once I get back to Tokyo. Thank you!

Good location. ”

We enjoyed stay in this hotel. Across the hotel is JR station. The first floor is coffee shop and nice bread for breakfast. Mac Donald is near by. Convince store near by. A lot of restaurants nearby. There are Edo Tokyo Museum in walking distance. Hotel was really clean and comfortable. I will definitely come back here next time we come back to Tokyo. We are family of 4 ( including one elementary student) . We were able to stay in one room.

Exceeds our expectations ”

We stayed here on our first night in Japan so all we really need is a place to sleep before moving on to the next city. The hotel was right across the street from the station and you can actually see the building from the platform. The staff was very helpful and the room was very nice with complete amenities. As most hotel rooms in Japan, it’s quite small but there was no issue for three of us to move around the room and we can even open our suitcases at the same time! The Ryogoku area is famous for the sumo culture, so we recommend you to try the sumo wrestler’s meal or Chanko. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would stay here again especially if you need to catch an early train.

2nd time staying”

Centralised and right in front of JR station. Only a few stops away from the main Akhihabara station. Ryoguku has many eateries and stores as well, and you hardly get bored of the area. Rooms were small - but that is normal in Japan. However, it also gave you the cosy feeling. Super good value for money considering its location and cleanliness. Hotel staff were kind and always attentive. Highly recommend

Great hotel in a convenient location”

Pros: The Ryogoku View hotel was perfect for our stay. The hotel is a really good value for your money and totally underrated. Its very nice and simple in a very cool area. The rooms were clean and tidy and the housekeepers were phenomenal. My mom got sick half way through the trip and stayed in the room for three days straight. They made sure she had everything she needed. We stayed in a superior twin and had our own shower (a plus for a hotel in Japan). The hotel is very centrally located. Tons of restaurants and stores in the area. The train station is right across the street. If you’re up early enough you can catch all the Sumo wrestlers coming in for training. Cons: Not many of the staff speaks English so if you do not speak Japanese, make sure you have a translator app downloaded. Majority of the front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful with the exception of one guy. Not sure if he was having a bad day or two, but just seemed like he couldn’t ever be bothered.

Great service in nice area.”

Great hotel in nice area next to JR station. So convenience and comfortable. My friend and I stay there for the last 2 nights in Tokyo. From the hotel to wherever in Tokyo was so easy with JR-train or Tokyo metro. Highly recommended to stay there. Nice restaurants are around by 3-5 mins walk.

Big room, right next to the JR train station and taxis”

Very good location, you have the train station right there as you leave. This means quick access to a taxi (especially important if you have a lot of luggage) if you need to travel to the nearby T-CAT for a bus back to Narita Airport. It was our last hotel during our stay in Japan so we had a lot of luggage, but getting our luggage to the taxi was super easy. The "View" room had a very nice view, too. There is also a coffee shop on the first floor. Lawson and 7/11 were both very close.

My teenage son and I stayed for 6 nights and really enjoyed our stay. It is RIGHT across the street for the JR station which makes it very convenient to get around. The staff was amazing and so nice at all times! Our room was tiny but very clean and quiet. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Tokyo!

As a solo traveler, room space is enough for me to move around comfortably. Everything is clean and neat. Location is the best, just a minute away from the train station. A lot of convenience stores nearby and Japanese restaurants. Staffs are polite and can speak English. Check in and check out process goes smoothly.

Great location”

Great location very near JR Ryogoku. There are a lot of food nearby, from 24 hours matsuya or McDonalds and local food. I got room upgrade from the hotel which is very nice. Hotel room very clean. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Best night in Tokyo”

This was our last night in Tokyo and was glad that the hotel gave us free upgrade to their biggest room. The toilet was superb that comes with Jacuzzi Bathtub. The location is also great. A lot of food options downstairs. 2 mins walk from the Ryogoku chuo-sobu line and about 8mins walk to the Oedo subway line(15mins to Tsujiki fish market). Would definitely be back due to it convenient location

Absolutely loved our stay. Staff very helpful. Reception welcoming staff always pleasant and able to speak English was a plus. Cleaning staff so respectful. rooms were clean and welcoming. Will definitely return

The hotel room is very good for a family of five. Location is within a few meters from JR train station but a bit far from subway station. Mcdonald’s is near along with Pepper lunch. Many japanese restos near the Jr station with a sumo ring. Food is yummy. By the way room has veranda and jacuzzi, nice extras for kids! Will recommend this hotel

Clean and Neat”

The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. We got free upgraded to Modern Japanese Premium Room. The room is so spacious with jacuzzi and balcony. It's close to JR station but 10 mins walk to Tokyo subway.

Excellent Stay”

Family of 13 (with 3 seniors and 2 babies) and winter so location is really important to us. Hotel is just outside the station. Convenience stores and restaurants (McDonalds, Pepper Lunch, Matsuya and a lot more) a few steps away. There is even a coffee shop downstairs. I also got a good deal from Agoda. Thank you.
