Konnte günstig 200 Baat Roller mieten. Ist auch gut einen Roller zu haben da ansonsten längerer Fussweg zur Hauptstrasse. Hütten einfach aber praktisch. Vorsicht vor Essen in der Hütte. Ameisen finden alles. Besser in Tüten aufhängen. Abends Insektenkeulen sprich Moskitorauchvertreiber anzünden. Gibt es für 40 Baht in jeder Drogerie. Was die Unterkunft nicht bietet... Bietet der Strand: Meeresrauschen sehr angenehm 3 - 8 m bis zum Wasser. Schöner Blick aus dem Fenster sogar vom Bett aus oder von der kleinen Terrasse. Was für Menschen die einfach und viel Natur lieben

Im Endeffekt stimmt das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis. Die Nächte waren sehr warm und wegen dem Moskitnetz konnte die Luft vom Ventilator nicht zu uns durchdringen. Entweder atmen oder Stiche einkassieren. Schade auch das sehr viel Müll rum lag. Das Personal war sehr freundlich - durch die Nebensaison hatten sie sehr wenig zu Essen was sie aber dennoch auf der Essenskatrte angeboten haben. Die Hütten waren sehr ranzig und teilweise herunter gekommen. Unser Bad war komlett schimmelig und dreckig. Da es immer feucht war. Keine Fenster um durchzug zu erzeugen. Dennoch hatten wir einen tollen Urlaub. Die lage ist super und der Strand sehr schön. Also wer nihct allzu pingelik ist kann dort ein paar Tage für wenig Geld verbringen.

Wir können viele der vorherigen Kommentare nicht nachvollziehen. Diese Unterkunft firmiert als „Hütte“, nicht als Bungalow, Resort oder Spa-Hotel. Für einen für die traumhafte Lage wirklich niedrigen Preis bekommt man ein regendichtes Dach, ein Doppelbett, Moskitonetz, Fan, Steckdose, ein Bad mit Waschbecken, Spiegel, Sitzklo mit Wasserspülung und eine Dusche mit „naturwarmen“ Wasser. Die einfachen Hütten sind luftdurchlässig gebaut, was natürlich die Anwesenheit von Insekten zulässt. Wer so töricht ist und offene Lebensmittel lagert, lockt natürlich auch Insekten an, mit denen man nicht seinen Wohnraum teilen möchte. Den Vorgarten bilden Palmen in feinem, hellen Sand; der riesige naturbelassenen „Pool“ ist nur wenige Meter entfernt. Von der kleinen Terrasse mit Sitzgelegenheit sieht man bei Dunkelheit tausende von Sternen. Wer das nicht „erträgt“ und mit 5 Sternen zufrieden ist, der kommt direkt nebenan in einem Luxusresort auf seine Kosten – ohne Strand, mit Golfrasen, gefliestem und gechlortem Pool, kyrillischer Speisekarte und zum zwölffachen Preis. Bezeichnenderweise findet man tagsüber viele Gäste dieses Resorts in der „Chill-Lounge“ und zum Abendessen im Restaurant der Tiger Huts. Das Personal ist symphatisch unbedarft und manchmal sprachlich überfordert, aber immer freundlich, bemüht und zuverlässig. Barsches und unfreundliches Verhalten einiger Gäste wird natürlich zum Bumerang Wer livrierte und gebügelte Kellner erwartet, gehört nach nebenan. Die Behauptung, die Bettwäsche würde nicht gewechselt, ist eine Unterstellung, die nicht nachvollziehbar ist. Auch bei der Vermietung für nur eine Nacht, wurden die Hütten immer komplett gereinigt. In den 16 Tagen, die wir hier verbracht haben, haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen sicher noch einmal wieder

Wasser, Strand und Palmen”

Wer keinen Anspruch an Luxus hat und nur das Nötigste (Bett, Dusche, WC, Waschbecken, Ventilator) braucht, ist hier perfekt aufgehoben. Das Ganze wird durch die perfekte Lage -direkt am sauberen Strand- und mit einer kleinen Terasse am Bungalow, absolut aufgewertet und entschädigt für so manch unnützen Luxus. Das Restaurant ist gut. In direkter Umgebung gibt es noch mehr landestypische Restaurants und sehr gemütliche Strandbars.

Schöner Strand, kein Massentourismus ”

Wir waren in der Nebensaison im Tiger Hut und haben das Hotel im Vorfeld über Agoda gebucht. Vor Ort hätten wir die Cottage 100 Bath günstiger bekommen. Die Hütten sind sehr einfach und sehr verwohnt. In den 5 Tagen in denen wir da waren, wurde die Cottage nicht einmal geputzt. Es gab keinerlei Handtücher und als Bettdecken hatten wir 2 sehr dünne Wolldecken. Es gab nur eine Steckdose, sodass wir unsere elektronischen Geräte Tagsüber laden mussten, weil über Nacht der Ventilator über die eine Steckdose laufen musste. Freies Trinkwasser bekammen wir erst auf Anfrage und das in kleinen Eimerchen. Das Hotel liegt ca. 1, 5 KM von der Hauptstraße entfernt, die Strasse dahin ist sehr matschig und hat viele Schlaglöcher. Um außerhalb des Hotels Essen gehen zu können oder im Supermarkt etwas einzukaufen, muss man immer diese Strecke in Anspruch nehmen. Daher ist es besser sich ein Moped zu mieten, was aber auch einige Fahrkünste voraussetzt um über die Matschstrecke zu fahren.

The bungalows are very basic but the views and the surroundings are amazing, it is like living on a beach waking up with the waves and blue sea, an amazing stay and well worth the money, staff nice with some lovely dogs and the menu is good as well very cheap with wonderful views. Excellent will stay again and again.

Most beautiful part of the beach”

If you don't mind not having hot water in the room this place is amazing. It is right on the beach, super clean, and especially super quite. sometimes we woke up to coconuts dropping to the roof from trees. and even that was very cozy. Loved the place Food from the restaurant was ok. but for vegetarian food they lack creativity. They can offer more thai style breakfast for cultural originality. We stayed there for 10 days, we couldn't figure out what thai people eat for breakfast

Undoubtedly, one of the best locations in Koh Chang. It is quiet and the beach is wonderful. Several beach restaurants to choose from that are not over-priced. The huts are basic with no hot water and the cleanliness could be improved, but the location makes ups for these inconveniences. Make sure you have mosquito repellent.

Good but spartiat place to stay”

Location is perfect, right on the beach. Staff on site is friendly and helpful. Rooms/bed/bathroom are not super clean, no aircon but the location is just perfect. Had a bad experience renting a motorbike on site: it already had a flat tire and got scammed to pay 810 baht to repair it. They absolutely wanted an id + money deposit so I had no choice. Never ever leave an id when renting motorbike/jetski or whatever in Thailand. Was later quoted 100 baht for the flat tire :-/

+ The location is stunning and the food is delicious. - the best are ROCK solid. Like sleeping in concrete. And as a backpacker I don't mind the simple style bungalows. But for you who aren't used to staying in simple, dirty hostels: this is not the place for you. Also, the pathway from the mainroad to the huts are long (with lights, but still..), and it was quite scary walking back one night (especially as a solo traveller) I would probably not stay here again unless they change the beds.

Just on beach little hut only you get”

If you looking for stay just on beach in unclean rooms here you go. You may finds aunts, or some insects here n there and bathroom. But One need to do scarifies if you are low on budget and wants to stay on beach. Ocean is amazingly beautiful which compensate other shortcums. Yes, they could do little bit renovation and keep clean then it will be best place to stay.

Very basic huts, but you have all you need, roof above your head, wide bed to sleep, private bathroom, palms, white sand and clear water just few steps away from your hut. Stuff is very nice and food in the restaurant is delicious.

The receptionist/owner of this place is one of the rudest person I've ever met! We had a booking of 5 days in Tiger Hut and when we arrived there the receptionist seemed annoyed, as if we had disturbed while watching tv.He wanted me to sign a receipt of a booking with a wrong date of check out (I don't know why!!!) when we refused he became nervous and he starts to speak in Thai so we could not understand. During our stay we went to him asking for some information and every time it became really upset and nervous. One day it was sleeping at the reception at 11 am and we needed to ask him for a motorbike, he woke up, he saw us and he just left without say anything I think because it was upset that we woke up him. It was the last time we saw him because fortunately we found the bungalow Kp Hut and we went there for breakfast all the morning, lunch, we did the laundry and we rented the motorbike!The only positive thing was the view from the bungalow and the beach but is not the only one

The simplicity best”

Obviously one can find cleaner and better hostel on Koh Chang island. But... we really enjoyed our 4 nights in Tiger Hut. Bungalows are absolutely basic but still have fan indoor shower and toilet. Yes rooms are delapidated. The only socket was almost broken and there were no single hook for staff. But bedclothes were clean. No hot water (do you really need it when +33 degrees outside?). The best thing is location right on the centre of Klong Prao and I dare to state it's the best piece of beach. Village with shops market and street food are in 1 km but we rented motobike and experienced no troubles to get to. We guess the hotel simplicity helped us to feel the nature without comfort spoiler.
