Achtung Bettwanzen!!!”
Wir hatten einen Standard Tripple Room (3 Betten mit Sharing Bath). Die Betten und die Matratzen waren uralt, die Bettwäsche voll mit alten Blutflecken und Bettwanzen, die wir leider zu spät bemerkten. Die beiden Bäder und der Flur wurden in 3 Tagen nicht einmal gereinigt. Von uns bekommt das Hotel keine Empfehlung.

das Gästehaus wirkt sympathisch und liegt gut. das Personal War freundlich und das Frühstück sich in Ordnung. Das Zimmer, die Bettwäsche und das Bad waren einfach nicht sauber. sich die Handtücher rochen muffig. meine Zimmernachbarin hat spuren von bettwanzen auf ihrer Leistung gefunden. ich würde es nicht empfehlen.

Ok, geht aber wirklich besser für das Geld. Wenn man nur ein biwshen mehr drauflegt kriegt man was WIRKLICH schickes. Empfehle Lao Lu Lodge für 20€

Sauber und nicht teuer”
Vanvisa Guesthouse war einfach und sauber, wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer mit eigenem Bad.Der Empfang und Service war sehr hilfsbereit,nett.Wir bekamen gute englische Auskunft über Ausflüge.Das Abholen vom Airport war sehr gut,später wurden die Kosten abgerechnet,ebenso der Rücktransport. Lage: nicht weit vom Stadtzentrum, sehr nahe am Mekongfluss, ruhige Seitenstrasse. Preis-Leistung : gut.

Everything good ”
I like this guesthouse. Even it is actually house for a family but i don't mind about it. Everything is good. Room, mattress comfort, just cleanliness is not so good. Because we open our shoes, i thought it should be clean but just so so.

Decent budget hostel let down by noise, cleanliness and policies”
Upon getting to our room we were pleasantly surprised with the hostel as the room was a good size, bed fairly comfortable and were upgraded to an ensuite bathroom for free by the staff. However, we decided to check out after one night as we were woken up at 5am to the sound of someone chopping meat downstairs which subsided after an hour, to then be disturbed by builders drilling and hammering on a building in the same site just outside our room. It was a real shame as this guesthouse would have fitted our needs for the remainder of our stay in Luang Prabang but defeats the object when you are only able to get half a night's sleep. Also, a sign outside said that doors were locked at midnight but we found out they were actually locked earlier than this after we returned just after 11pm. Bathroom was also dirty which puts you off using the facilities.

Good simple stay ”
My boyfriend and I stayed there for a total of 5 nights. We are really easy travelers and can pretty much sleep everywhere. The room was big with nice windows. The bed was comfortable and we had towels in the room. It was not the cleanest place we stayed in but it was just because there was dust in the corners (to be honest, not a big deal for the price you pay per night) It was a bit hard to reach someone in charge but the family is very polite and welcoming. If the downsides don't really bother you, I would totally recommend this place since its super well located and comfortable.

Would not stay again ”
Although much cheaper than other places in Luang Prabang we had lots of mosquitos in our room which was the main issue with our stay. The staff were not very helpful when we asked if they had anything we could use to get rid of them (even though on check in we were told they could spray the room if the problem persisted). We noticed a mosquito zapper and asked if we could use that and reluctantly they agreed. We must have counted about 50 dead mosquitos after using the zapper. Needless to say we both didn’t sleep well and checked out the next morning.

Friendly owners, private bathroom”
Room came with private bathroom which was a nice surprise. Only downside was how uncomfortable the bed was and the noise outside the room (a number of animals & other guests). Would stay again though as cheap

We stayed here for four nights (over the 2018 xmass Holiday). Private bathroom was clean, staff friendly but speak little English. Floorboards on second story room were a little loose and creaky. Two small convenience stores around corner. No bedbugs that we found. Nice location near the river and night market. The only downside to this place is that they will supposedly lock you out after midnight. We were having an awesome time across town at Oasis Bar when our new friend said at 11:30pm "Don't you have to be back at midnight?". This was a sucky feeling having a curfew because we are in our thirties.. Most bars close at 11:30 so it may not be a problem.. but it was xmass eve and places stayed open late. Consider if you want to be out later than midnight when booking here.

unsafe room and stairs to the second floor. ”
Although the place is well located and the price comparable , there were problems with safety. We reported broken , unsupported and lose wooden slats on the floor, and asked to be switched to another room, our request was ignored. We also reported that the mosquito screen on the bathroom window was broken and falling apart, yet again, nothing was done. It could have been that no the people managing the house did not speak any English... There was also water dripping from several of the pipes running throughout the bathroom. It is a shame that people don't reinvest in their business.

Lovely & clean place”
Stayed 3 nights here .. one of oldest guesthouses in Luang Prabang. Lovely family style guesthouse ... very polite & helpful family ;) Tucked in a quiet neighbourhood ... but still a stone's throw away from morning & night market n very near Mekong river. If you are lucky you may get to see their teenage kids n friends practicing traditional music & dance on the weekends!

The old lady running the guesthouse is so funny. The building is old and a bit messy in the corridor but the atmosphere is really cosy and the rooms are clean.

we were very happy/lucky to get early (8am) check-in without any extra cost, this helped us to recover quickly after long and tiring bus trip to Luang Prabang. we could use hot water and dishes from the kitchen. laundry service could be a bit more organized because we were missing some clothes after folding it ourselves. the room is quiet at night unless you might hear something from the neighbours. the window above the bed couldn't be shut and we really felt cold air falling on our heads. we needed to ask for extra bed sheets and a newer towel. the one given was old and falling apart. the bed was quite hard too. the staff (family) is always around and ready to call someone who speaks English and help you out. we extended our stay and could pay by CC at the reception. i can recommend this place but do not expect luxury

My son and I stayed here in a triple bed room next to the toilet/shower rooms. Water: as much and as hot as you need it. Friendly family business. Mere minutes from the main street, seconds from the river. Absolutely no complaints.

Safe, clean, cool”
The staff goes overboard to accommodate guests. The wifi doesn't suck and the rooms have "bed and breakfast" charm and are cool. and you want cool Luang Prabang is hot.
