We made Reservations ahead but 1 day prior to our arrival they said they OVERBOOKED.
One day before our arrival to the hotel, I called in to say that we will be arriving late. I booked through agoda. The guys on the other line told us that there NO ROOMS available and we will have to go somewhere else. Take note, we already paid in full to secure our reservations. In desperation, we tried calling and calling to the hotel to ask if they can help us. The guy asked for our voucher, so i said ok i can email it to you but the guy said that we will have to GO to the hotel and inquire because they do not have wifi. "We do not have wifi" -false advertising. When we got to the hotel, apparently they DO have wifi and we DO have rooms. So in confusion, we asked who the hell were we talking to? They had the same contact number as the one in their website. I do not recommend this hotel. They made us go through all that. Annoyed and stressed. We werent able to enjoy the activities the prev day because of this.

YOU HAVE RUINED MY VACATION!
YOU over booked my hotel and you even not call my attention or infomed my regarding this matter! im so very disappointed they dont want me to check in even if i have my booking confirmed! they even charge me more for the upgrade of my room and they charge me for an early booking fee even they have problem.

Minimalist-Modern Motorist Hotel in Laoag
To sum it all up: PROS 1. Very near Laoag City Center - by car, it only takes 2 minutes to the city center (without traffic) - since tricycles are passing by the highway, it's pretty easy to commute from the hotel as well - all you have to do is walk 5 meters from the hotel to the highway. 2. Minimalist-modern design rooms - the room assigned to us was pretty new. We we're given the Triple Sharing room with an extra double bed so 5 of us could fit in. I have to commend the fixtures of their bathrooms as well as the aircondition and cable TV. I'm quite picky when it comes to bathrooms but I enjoyed their rain shower - I only wished there's a glass divider for the toilet but overall I'm satisfied. 3. Good size parking space - some rooms have their own private parking slot covered with curtains which I find really nice. We we're assigned to the outdoor parking but we're very much satisfied with it. Much better than other hotels who only offer street parking. 4. Reasonable rates - self-explanatory. Check out Laoag City Center hotel rooms for 5 people via Agoda/Booking.com and you'll know what I mean. CONS 1. Staff needs more training - since the hotel is pretty new, I have a feeling that the staff are still pretty much trying to find a way to smoothen out their operations. During one of the nights we stayed, they were fully booked but I heard other customers complaining about the lack of pillows and blankets. We always have these basic necessities in our car so we didn't have a problem but I totally understand that it should be at least mandatory for every room - especially if you have a head count of the people checking-in. 2. Jollibee breakfast - not that I hate Jollibee or anything but I just wished that they had a variety of options apart from the usual pancake/hotdog rice meal from Jollibee for breakfast. Also, on our 2nd day, we had problems with our breakfast - despite having told our orders the night before - yet the hotel staff

Some parts of the hotel is still under construction but everything is okay. Would recommend going booking here.

Get what you pay for... Cheap and no frills...
Really cheap no frills hotel, best for transients for an extremely short stay. If you have higher expectations look for a better hotel.

This frustrating event happened during an overnight business trip to Laoag. I booked a room at the Westgate 2 nights prior. I arrived before 6pm of check in day to find that they were apparently under construction and that there was no reception area. The front driveway was the receiving area with a non uniformed male attendant serving as receptionist. I was informed that they had no rooms available and I had to wait for a guest who is checking out within the hour. I told him that the room was guaranteed to be available by the booking site. And that after a 10 hour trip from Manila; diving immediately into the series of meetings the whole day, I needed to enter my room freshen up and rest. Not having any options for a room, I demanded that I be refunded. He gave me a lame excuse that because I used a credit card, the main office was going to call the site to reverse the transaction. I told him that I would not want to be taken for a fool because he was not and could not offer a receipt/letter confirming my predicament. Less than half an hour later, the "manager" came in and gave me a cash refund. The hotel resembled the seedy motels located in some notorious Manila motel areas. Each unit had the room on the second floor and below it was a garage with a big curtain to hide your vehicle and make you anonymous. Never again....
