fantastic stay in Queenstown”
Its a wonderful experience stay there in De Lavender, compare to the high price of other hotels in Queenstown, I will definitely choose this one again. Its just 2-3mins walk to the bus stop as I didn't hire a car. The most impressive thing is the amazing million dollars lake view, from anywhere in the house--spacious Living area, awesome kitchen, lovely bedroom and the big deck..... The bathroom is quite new, which makes me much more comfortable compared to most of the accommodations in NZ. The house is nicely decorated, shows a good taste of the owner. The owners are quite friendly and their lovely daughter is a chatterbox and enjoys to share lots of funny things happened here. They introduced the tourist spot, the track and restaurant which locals go. Take the free beer from the owner and have a nice talk with them and other guests in the late sunset at the deck, that was one of the best experience!

Not this apartment but 8 Moss Lane ”
De Lavender was not ready to receive guest as it is still under renovation and not live able for a family of 5. However, the Singaporean lady owner , Pamela was kind to offer another apartment at 8 Moss Lane for us to view. It was a short drive from city center and nicely situated on the slope with a fantastic view of the lake. We readily accepted the offer of the apartment. It has 3 level; garage,-1, bedrooms -2nd level and living room -3rd level. It has 2 bathrooms n 3 bedrooms . The living room was large with a balcony facing the lake. The furniture were new but TV has yet to be installed. For 5 days we do not need the TV but enjoyed the fantastic view it offers n a gathering place to share the day outings; jet boat, bungy jump, paragliding, fishing, LOTR, Skyline , etc. Thank you Pamela for letting us enjoy the better part of Queenstown which will be a memorable experience for me n family and will definitely recommend to my friends . Not forgetting Adam for taking care of our needs

We got a beautiful room with the lake. Parking is outside and Pam and her family is ultra nice. Lavender outside the house makes it perfect!

Nice view of the Lake. Spacious room. Friendly people. Can easily go to the town center by bus. Better if you have a car since the road is uphill going to the house.

There is no TV, no carpet in the bathroom and no box tissue. I do not think that it is worth for the money. The room has just two single beds and a small refrigerator and a heater. The pillow is not comfortable. Maybe it is my mistake as I do not know that is part of a private own house. It is not a hotel. There is no other facility but parking space by the road.

Good mountain view but we had to share shower and toilet with the host and no bath mat or face washer provided.We stayed 5 nights and paid for AUD 698.00 compare with hotel price I should stay at the hotel

Worse than expected”
As you can see the place in the google map, it is quite difficult to get the place without a car. The bus stop is also quite far from the place. You do not expect the soundproof. You can hear every word from the next room. The balcony is also shared, and the tables and chairs at the balcony is dirty. When we entered the room on the first day in the evening, the room had not been made up even though it was over 6 o'clock in the evening, so we had to put our baggage and just left the room for the make-up. The size of the room is much smaller than it is shown on the pictures. The host family lives on the ground floor and they are kind, which is only a good point of this accommodation.

Utsikten är fantastisk, och allt är rent och fräscht - men jag hade inte förstått att vi skulle bo i ett rum i familjens hus och dela både toalett och badrum med dem. Värdparet hälsade knappt, och det kändes lite som vi trängde oss på. Är van vid B&Bs där man har egen ingång och badrum, och kommer kolla det noggrannare nästa gång. Men är man OK med att bo så tätt med en familj så är det ett helt OK boende! Ligger ca 10 min med bil från Queenstown. Finns inget riktigt i närheten att göra eller äta.
