Beautiful Place”

De Native Guesthouse is a quiet, beautiful place surrounded by nature. The owner is a really nice person and helps whenever you have a problem. Sometimes he cooks delicious meals and drinks a few beers at a campfire with all of his guests. There are five dogs, they are very cute and you can play with them. We slept in one of the comfortable chalets with a big bathroom and a hot shower, you really gonna need it in the Cameron Highlands. If you are looking for a nice Backpacker experience and like to get in touch with some locals you should definitely stay there a couple of nights. We fell in love with this place! Thank you for everything Uncle Krish!

Nice and cozy stay”

The small wooden huts look adorable. Of course, it is basis, but the bed was really good, and it was the best shower on our total trip in Malaysia! The owners are really nice and hospitable people and show you around, only the man likes alcohol in the evening really (too) much. The location is on a quiet hill, just 5-10 minutes walk from the centre of Tanah Rata. Good value for money, when we come back we will choose this place again!

Supercozy and friendly!”

The location of the guesthouse might not be ideal, but the guesthouse itself makes up for it. The bamboo chalets are comfortable and they give you quite the experience. The thing I loved the most were the bonfires every evening. You would meet many new people and every evening was very cozy. Also, Krish, is very friendly and helped us out a lot with booking a tour. He really wants to make your stay comfortable. Thanks a lot for a great stay! (Arnoud & Nicky)

Brilliant stay!”

We arrived quite late as our bus there was delayed by over an hour and we were welcomed by the owner and his family along with some volunteers that work there and they were all very welcoming. We were able to join them for dinner which was amazing! The cabins are so cute and comfortable, a mosquito net is provided but we didn’t see any mosquitos actually in the cabin itself. The location is good but a short walk into the town, 5 mins or so. Would 100% recommended De Native and would definitely return if we are in the area again. Thank you Krish and everyone that made our stay so pleasant!

Different place , different atmosphere ,the owner Mr Kresh is very helpful and friendly. You have to be familiar with dogs because he has 4 dogs also the room is very narrow , I think is more suitable to single not families. Last comment there is a bar which is against Muslim rules

NOT RECOMMENDED”

Please investigate how these incorrect ads are located on the site. Very disappointed. The room ad space is 15 square meters but the room is only 5 square meters. Booking a family room but can be a small room. pictures only display bungalows but not specified original person's room. The driveway is bad and dangerous when it rains and no street lights at night. not suitable for muslims. no prayer facilities. Had to spend the night in another hotel because there was no facility. The little boy was afraid of the dog.

Across the Cameron Highlands ”

Pros: quiet place slightly outside of the center but still within walking distance, pricing okay compared with the area, lots of space around, early check-in Cons: amenities are light compared with Malaysia, mosquito net not large enough with holes in it (luckily low risk of dengue fever in that area), evenings a bit weird (the boss seems to really be into alcohol and his buddy mostly interested by single girls)
