Very intimate grandfather, warm home feeling”
The grandfather at the front desk is a very interesting person, patiently teach us to call the car. He is proficient in many national languages, the rooms are also very good, the sound insulation is very good, the price is very good.

Beautiful hostel!”
Beautiful rooms, high quality for a "hostel", you can use the kitchen, it's a nice place also to get to know other travellers. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful! Not so near to the old center but the metro station is not so far away. Malls and restaurants are near, also the river!

Hidden gem out of the crowds but close to river.”
While far fron the sex tourist area, and on far side of river, this place is great. It is only 5 minutes from 15 cent water ferry to skytrain. Then train can get you anywhere. Area is quiet at night. Impeccably clean even though open to air . Breakfast is toast jam, drink, but that is ok since street food is 3 minute away for less than a dollar. I suggest to all. But i will say i was surprised to find porno on TV. But it was hidden on usb. It was nice as it made wife smile. But never got the remote for tv to bring up more than one cable channel not that anyone in BKK wants to watch TV. Lol. If you stay here, spend 200 baht , 7 dollars, on river boat jump on jump off. It will take you to ten great places to include chinatown and khao san road areas. Finally, if you take a hotel business card and travel by taxi after 9 pm , then tell driver no toll roads and very affordable to get back. During traffic, either take BTS train or take toll roads. 3 ppl makes taxi worth it.

Nice grandpa at the hostel. Though the scene around the hostel seems a little bit frightening, the atomosphere inside is really good. Approximately 800m to BTS, and 300m to ferry. Free bread with butter and jams, coffee, tea provided for breakfast. The best place to get on ferry around is the ICONISAM. The hostel is highly recommended.

I booked the room for 4 nights but once I got there, I was shocked. My room smelled like pee, the place was dirty and I did not feel comfortable at all. The man at the reception was very nice and I am sorry about my review but just want to help ppl who think about staying in this place. Guys, find something else cause this place Is a mess.

I regretted so much that I booked for 8 nights without looking this hostel on person. I completely got betrayed by all the pictures. This place is so old. Dormitory rooms smell like a mould, sweat. There were windows in my room but I couldn’t open it obviously. If you wish to stay in a female room you gotta be careful since the floor All the rooms and bathroom are connected. The whole floor smells like old sewage water. I thought I was going to vomit and I felt so regretted once I walked in. I left after one night. I could find a much better cleaner hostel at the same price. I would never want to come back to this hostel.

location is okay. If you're planning to stay at this hostel, make your way out to BTS Taksin then go across the river. The walk across the street and you will see a sign of decor do hostel. Room is clean, coffee, tea and water are free all day. And the owner is very kind and helpful. Me and my friend booked a voucher for dinner cruise, but the agent asked us to transfer the money via ATM. So we gave him the cash and he transferred it for us. Very kind of him. Worth to visit with low budget travel

Highly recommended hostel ”
I stayed in dormitory room. It was so nice. Every bed was curtained off by draperies. By the time I checked in, I got a free bottle of water. And plus, I had bread and jam for free. It was set from 6 to 10 am at the room next to the kitchen. The location isn’t bad. There are plenty of places for Street food and for shopping malls. There is also a skytrain station nearby. I walked slowly to there around 10 minutes. I coundn’t recommend this hostel more. I will be back again if I have a chance to visit Bangkok.

A little oddly designed but served its purpose”
The room had this really old vibe to it, and was situated right across the washing machines which meant a lot of traffic passing the door. However, the other guests were actually quite considerate, keeping it quiet. It was only at 4am when people stumbled in, or when they were tossing their luggage about that was quite noisy. Someone obviously felt the room didn't have much privacy and stuffed tissue in the viewfinder of the door. The windows had blinds, but the view from the room was actually the room in the next building, and no one could really access the area in between. Bed was hard, but actually comfortable for the tired back. Pillows were soft. Air conditioner and refrigerator world great. The shower's water pressure was a little low, but the temperature could get very hot. You probably can create a great foot soak with a bucket borrowed from the staff for your tired feet. Do note, the toilet only has a water spray, and the toilet roll is actually near the fridge. So for the ones who need toilet roll, make sure you bring some in first. Staff were great, super friendly and helpful. Very quick to help you with your luggage, especially with the small steps. Paid about $29/night for the private double room with taxes, and I think it's worth what I paid for. BTS stations are a bit of a walk though. Saphan Taksin would require one to climb a few flight of stairs. While Krung Thon Buri is a bit of a walk, although it is mostly flat - and there's food along the way, and there's a lift you can take up to the station platform. Didn't really use the chill out areas in the hostel, but it was quite a cool area, and there is even a computer you can use for those who didn't bring yours along.

Stayed here 6 nights - actually 5 as I arrived via night train early on the day after my booking. I contacted the hostel in advance to let them know of my late arrival and to not consider me a no show. I also asked if I could receive a discount as I would not need the extra night. They responded my let me know that checking in late would not be a problem but completely ignored my discount question. Honestly I did not expect a discount (especially at this price point) but it would have been nice if they acknowledged my question. The hostel itself was good for a few nights stay. Common areas were very clean, free water, coffee and toast in the morning. Room was not cleaned the entire 5 nights we were there but requests for additional toilet paper were always granted promptly. There is a washing machine on site and 40B will do one good sized load (plus an additional 10B for laundry soap). It is located on “the other side” of the river but easily walkable to the BTS or to the ferry port that will take you across the river - from there you can catch a number of different boats to take you up and down river to the sites. Don’t let the orange flag boat intimidate you; it is easy to use, and much cheaper than the blue flag hop on, hop off tourist boat. Overall a good place to stay at a great price!
