"Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff."

Great place to relax”
A little far from town but staff are super super nice, friendly, food is fantastic, pool is warm and mostly in the sun all day. Some shade area in the pool, swim up bar. A great relaxing place. Rent a motorcycle for 500p/day and you’re all set to wander around. Make sure to say hello to Aska, she’s the front desk super nice staff girl !
deep forest garden”
this hotel was ideal, pickup from the airport, very cheap, hotel room was nice and big, good aircon, exellent staff, good food, nice swimming pool ,i liked this hotel, dont miss the cellar bar nice and cool place to be and eat if you want,id definately stay there again
Nice experience ”
The hotel itself was great, gives you a tropical jungley feeling. Nice pool, but the hot tub wasn’t working. The room was just okay. Needs better lighting. The food was less than so so, but they have many items. Nice bar. Good with setting up tours and transportation service.
A bottom-tier drinking den”
The most outstanding feature of this place is the large alcohol menu. Everything about this hotel just screams "minimum possible attempt at accommodating guests". I would never stay in this place again. The mattress is of the cheapest foam, having very little in common with a good sleep. More likely chosen to be easy to clean when boozed up guests dirty it. The towels literally have holes in them. Overall the decor is full of random garish colors and half-abandoned installations, with random empty light bulb sockets in rooms and large plastic animal statues hapharazdly piled on the ground around the courtyard edges. The location is waaaay out on the edge of town, with half the tricycle drivers apparently not knowing where it is. You are in danger of being taken for a ride if a driver just nods his head and takes off, hoping he will remember. From around the airport, 80 peso is a good price, from the bus station you can haggle down to 150. Expect to pay a bit more without haggling.
A beautiful place to stay.”
Friendly staff, good sized room, beautiful pool, a great place to stay.
All in all I really liked my stay there with my friends, but how the front desk answered my questions about requesting for service going to the airport was not nice and was answered in an unfriendly manner... the waitresses looked like they are just forced to serve us, I don't know why... maybe because we are not foreigners like the other guests, we needed to keep on repeating our request for a service water several times before we finally get.... all 5 dishes we ordered were spicy so you would understand how badly we needed drinking water that time. But again other than that, everything is great. I'll still rate this as 5 stars because of the hotel it self, but the staff needs a little more training how to deal with guests nicely even for Filipino guests.
We had a wonderful time here. The room was big, comfy, clean. The hotel staff is so friendly and they answered to all our inquiries. The hotel is quiet, very well decorated and the restaurant offers a lot of choices. If I come back to Puerto princesa one day, I will go there again without any doubt.
Good for budget”
We stayed here and were very happy with the space and the room we were given. Bathroom has a bit of a mouldy smell but that didn’t bother us too much. Room was not cleaned one of the days of our stay which was a bit disappointing. Two lovely dogs that you can walk!
We had a lovely stay ”
We got a welcome drinks when we arrived. Staff are very friendly and helpful. It's a 1 trike ride from the city, the room is nice, huge and so are the facilities; theres a swimming pool, darts and billiards. The hotel itself is very colorful at night!! Amazing food as well in their restaurant! Would totally come back here :)
Amazing hotel, highly recommend”
This place has amazing value for money. It’s a bit further away from the centre but if you rent a scooter it’s nothing. They have a large garden with a beautiful pool and a jacuzzi and a pool bar. Breakfast was not included with our room but for 250₽ it was so big I couldn’t finish it. And they have a beautiful airconditioned wine cellar. Rooms are so big. We had one with a pool view and it’s just massive. Both the room and bathroom. We had just the best 2 relaxing days in there hanging out by the pool. Best hotel I’ve stayed in Philippines at this price range.
Beautiful Hotel, Exceeded Expectations”
The exterior of the hotel is eclectic and random in a delightful way. Lots of trees and greenery! I recommend walking the beagle. :) The rooms are in little villas which give you a nice feeling of privacy. Very clean with good AC and surprisingly beautiful bathrooms! Front desk was very friendly and happily will send room service, sign you up for tours, do laundry, etc. and can help you with anything you might need. The food at the restaurant is also good, we never ate anywhere else. Getting into town requires taking a tricycle, but the front desk can help you get one for a good price. WiFi in the rooms worked really well!
some pros and cons”
The choice of drinks is beyond expectations and the staff extremely polite, helpful and always with a big smile on the face. Unfortunately the well advertised tuna menues were not available during our stay. The surroundings need fixing and cleaning (empty paint cans laying around, empty box on the arms of Gen Aguinaldo, Zebra sculpture with broken legslaying around. It seems the staff is not bothered to fix the surroundings - including the owner. Or was he not around?
exellent place to stay would go back there again
puerto princessa stopoiver”
very nice place...lots of garden...good restaurant
I felt nickled & dimed”
Nice pool, rooms are funky but fine. The 24 hour paper passwords for wifi seem annoying and unnecessary. The water in the fridge was not free, come on now, every hotel gives you free water each day :/ I asked for an adapter so I could plug my 3 prong computer plug into the 2 prong wall outlet. They didn't have one, told me to go buy one. I bought one at Ace Hardware for 50 pesos, seems like a good hotel should have adapters for travelers to use/borrow. I was happy to see they have a pool table and darts, but then I had to pay to play pool and they didn't have any darts. Kinda lame for a paying guest. The staff was nice, but basically I didn't feel like management is really trying to be accommodating/helpful. Also, the location is not great. It's ok if you have a motorbike to go places, but I felt like the neighborhood was pretty boring/remote. Probably my favorite thing about the hotel was the dogs they have that you can walk when you want, that was nice.
Unfriendly and not helpful staff”
We booked a shuttle to the airport when we arrived but the next day they insisted that we haven’t and they wanted us to wait another 20 mins for the driver to come. Super annoying. The staff overall was very slow with everything and didn’t show any enthusiasm. Value for money was rated to two stars, because if we had really paid the non-last-minute 80€ for our room we would have been massively disappointed. Even 30€ seems to be too much. Food is expensive and they keep dogs in cages, which the guests should take for a walk..
Dated, but well equipped and comfortable”
This hotel has quite dated decor and layout, but everything is clean and well kept. Staff are very welcoming, and the garden/pool area for dining or relaxing is great. It was a good value place to rest between el nido and our flight home from PP We chose it for the pool and hot shower before our flight home
Well run with a nice and interesting dacor”
Very good value for the money. well maintained and very nice decor. It is over a mile outside of the town center but the town is worth only a visit not all that great to stay in. It is easy to take tri cab there and back.
So far from establishments ”
Travelled with an infant, tried asking for water heater to sterilize bottles but they didn’t allow it . They charge for a thermos of water instead. Requested for a basin , they only have one from house keeping. Floor was sticky. Food not so good too. Not advisable for someone who travels with infants. Everything has a charge and super far from establishments, no restaurants nearby unless you rent a tricycle. Fixed rate of 100 in the morning and 150 pesos at night which is overcharged. Nice pool though.
most recommendable place - will fit your budget”
Deep forest is one of the reasons i always come back to palawan. No matter what your budget is, this is the place to stay in princesa. I stayed there at least 10 times and the staff is the friendliest most helping u can ask for. Food is awesome and their poolbar the place to hangout for casual drinking/socialize with other tourist. If u travel with a higher budget dont miss their awesome winecellar( its a bit hidden so i not find until my 5th visit there) where u can enjoy your favourite wine together with ur favourite food. On behalf of my girlfriend (name in this app), I wrote this review for this place is really amazing.
