If you want to have a peaceful respite without breaking your bank, visit this unexplored part of Palawan. Deep Moon Resort has an awesome sunset and sunrise view from your cabanas. Apart from that, they have the most helpful staff and awesome location in the whole area of Port Barton. Definitely worth your every penny!

Perfect ”
First of all it is situated on a beautiful beach as Palawan is famous for. Secondly our room was facing the beach and can experience sunset every night. The room was good and had nothing to complain about The food is really good and portions are bigger than the normal Filipino size plus the view from the restaurant is perfect I paid only 1 night first but then added 2 more nights. I recommend Deep Moon to all my traveller friends 100%

A place where you can unwind”
I super love this place. It’s like we rented the whole island just for the 4 of us. We stayed in the white beach annex and so happened that we’re the only ones in here. Ate receptionist (forgot her name) is too kind and very approachable and we really love the Alimasag. So worth the 350 pesos along with the salad. If you’re looking for a place that has night life, better book at Deep Moon Resort, not the Annex.

Best place to stay in Port Barton!”
My friends and I booked the Garden Suite since we were 4 people, and the room was sufficient enough for us. We loved the vibe and food at Deep Moon Resorts that we spent most of our time chilling there. The staff are also very helpful and friendly! I would stay here again if I returned to Port Barton... the best place!

Nice place, friendly and helpful stuff.”
Very nice place close to the beach (10 meters). Stuff is friendly and helpful. Good philippino breakfast. Downside: Bungalow is a bit long in the tooth. Noisy at night because of the bar next to the Deep Moon Resort and the drunk backpackers coming home to the Deep Moon dorms.

Beautiful, quaint place to enjoy Port Barton”
We had a wonderful stay at the Deep Moon Resort, very friendly and helpful staff with excellent food and breakfast. Port Barton is definitely worth a stop if you're looking for a quiet village to relax. A lot quieter than El Nido..

Lovely peaceful stay at the White Beach resort”
We arrived at dusk to Deep Moon and were driven to White Beach. We were the only guests staying there (apparently the staff at White Beach weren't actually expecting us though it was booked in advance) but they were really helpful and cooked up a great simple meal for us. The view in the morning was stunning and being 10 minutes out of the town it was incredibly peaceful and a very relaxing start to our trip. Beware of the jellyfish in April though!

Relaxing stay into peaceful atmosphere.”
I reserved only 1 night through agoda but i have extended another 2 nights as a result. Though rainy season in palawan now, i was really relaxing laying hommock, reading book, drinking beer! I have stayed beach front cottage. The sea view is perfect. the room was a little small for 2 person but clean enough. since Just 20USD for night, i can not complain for small things ;) Afford snorkeling at islands like gem and trekking to waterfall. Port barton is pretty small village filled with peaceful atmosphere. Ideal place for escaping from daily life. I love to come back in nearly future.

Very friendly staff”
We stayed in a waterfront cottage with a double bed and own bathroom. It was 15m from the beach which was beautiful. We were there in the low season so the price was very cheap and we had the place almost to ourselves. The best part of the resort was the staff. The receptionist was amazing and attentive. The girls working in the restaurant was also really sweet and helpful. All over it was a fantastic stay! If I have to find one bad thing, it would be that you can hear everything from the cottages. But hey, they're right at the beach and have everything you need (except hot showers)

Beautiful hotel & perfect location!”
So here’s the thing I need to mention first as it kind of spoiled it for us, we enquired about a transfer to Puerto Princesa Airport before we even arrived at Deep Moon and we received a message saying it was 450 PHP each. We got to the hotel and booked this for the day we were leaving and we’re told to pay the guys on the bus. When they arrived to pick us we paid them 900PHP for two and then after a very uncomfortable 5 hour journey we were told to get out in Puerto Princesa town and pay more if we wanted to get to the airport. They argued our point and showed them the message from the hotel stating we had already paid the driver but they would not believe us! So we had no choice but to pay as we had to catch a flight. I emailed the hotel asking to be reimbursed or an apology at the least but have t heard one thing from them. It’s such a shame that this happened because other than that everything else was nice about the hotel...except the food...so expensive and really crap! Close to an OK beach Rooms a little noisy at night from the sea but you get used to it.

See you again ”
it is a really nice located resort. everywhere you'll find hammocks and the cottages a in front of the white beach - especially the beach cottages. we had the waterfront 4. housekeeping is available but not regularly. the women asking in the morning and if you're not around, you'll nnot getting a housekeeping. the breakfast if it's not paid by booking it is really expensive (250P) you'll find it cheaper and as good as in the resort. the staff is really friendly, little chaotic but sympathic. I think the resort is not finish yet so the spa for example is still under construction.

great resort in reasonable prices”
the location is amazings! there are nice cabin rooms right on the great great beach of port barton. the room is maybe a bit "basic" - but what else do you need when you are right on the beach, have a nice porch and an amazing resturant 2 min away?! the food is good, and the service is friendly and helpfull/ we had a good time and will come back for sure! also - booking island hopping through the hotel was very nice - good price and an amazing boatman (allan)!

Disappointed ”
The Deep Moon resort has all the potential to be a great place (location, food, design) but in our feeling , they stopped caring about the experience of their guests. In general, the stuff wasn't nice at all. distanced and arregent..didn't want to help with what we asked-like doing us a 'favor'( even when it was ordering food from the resturant). We found our room with used/not clean sheets- when we asked for new ones nobody came to change. until couple of hours later when we asked again. Feels like they know that people will keep on coming due to the great reviews that they have, and don't care about anymore. They forgot that the guest experience is still important. Hopefully , they will put some improvements in their interpersonal relations and in their facilities that seem abandoned.

Loved our little beach hut”
Had a great stay. Staff were very friendly. Fan was great when the electricity was on. Lots of reviews say food is bad and overpriced but we enjoyed what we ate and found it comparable to other places in town. There are better places with more choices to eat nearby though. Room service was a nice bonus for us. Wish they had cleaned the rooms mid stay, it was hard to keep the sand out! Other than that would totally recommend, location is the best.

Great bungalows right by the beach. One of the best places in town.”
We loved it here. I think this is one of the best places in Port Barton and has a super relaxing vibe (as does the whole town). The bungalows are a couple of meters from the beach. There is a large public area/restaurant and hammocks for chilling out. Food was good. Wifi was slow as expected, but still alright. There's a nice little bar right by the beach which is great for a sunset drink or two. Staff was very nice even though they seem a bit overworked to be honest. Not sure the owner is around much, but Joy and the others do their very best. Rooms can get a pretty hot at night since the power is only on from around 6 pm to midnight in the whole town. I'm usually a big fan of air con but still managed to sleep alright. Dogs and roosters might wake you up during the night, but that seems to be the case for almost everywhere on Palawan. Maybe bring earplugs. Tip 1: Don't leave anything edible in your bungalow/room as the rats/critters WILL find it. Tip 2: If you're looking for cheap and good food, find Gacayan restaurant. Chicken curry was one of my favorites. And remember, there is no ATM in town...

Lovely resort with lovely staff”
The resort is located directly at the wonderful beach of Port Barton. The rooms are great, very clean and with perfect bathrooms. The whole accomodation is very well-kept, the staff is really kind and engaged. The food was really tasty.

Poor staff. Epic location. Pretty dirty and rundown.”
The location of Deep Moon is fantastic. That’s it. Sadly this resort has a lot of wasted potential. The staff was seriously unpleasant. With the exception of one or two who sadly get painted with the same tainted view. Everything was a huge ask for them (even when ordering from menu). On one occasion, we wanted to hire 2 SUPS and they told us they only had one available as the other was deflated, and within 20 minutes, we saw the staff out on the water using it. They are completely disinterested in the guests and more focused on their own experience. Bizarre? Dusty rooms, pretty in need of a facelift. The restaurant was out of many ingredients on the menu. From day one, we decided not to eat here and support them any further due to staff attitude. I understand that Deep Moon may close in 2019 due to environmental infringements so this might be an explanation for the atmosphere. But in my view, this is inexcusable. There are HEAPS of special places to stay and eat in PB so luckily this has not impacted our love for this magic beach town in the slightest. But we will NOT be recommending Deep Moon to others.

Excellent place for relaxing holiday”
Resort located in a beautiful scenery, accessible by boat or by a track 4-5 km away from Porto Barton (better to get there by 4x4 or with a motocyle). The bungalows are basic, but very spacious and with the essential. The restaurant is good. Attention: Get some protection against sand-flies, if you are on the beach after sun set.

Great place to stay”
Stayed here for two nights. Booked a garden view room but it turns out to be a sea view room which is great. What's great about this hotel us they're eco conscious. They don't use plastic straw and they dont sell bottled water. They offer their guests water refill. The staff were very polite and accommodating. The location were great. Nice view of the sunset. Facilities are great except for the shower, it doesn't work so well, water from the shower is very slow. But other than that, no other inconveniences encountered. Would gladly stay here again if we'll return to Port Barton

Exceptional”
Stayed for 2 days and 1 night here and for a thirsty traveller like us, 2 days is not enough. Will definitely go back here. The place is so chill, the view, the ambiance, tho the food in the resort was a bit pricey. But its all good.
