The Dell'Angelo Hotel is centrally located at Piazza Grande in the centre of Locarno. It is just steps from the train station, shops and Lago Maggiore. Rooms at Hotel dell'Angelo all have flat-screen cable TV, radio, free WiFi and a bathroom with WC, shower and hairdryer. Guests can enjoy traditional Ticino and Italian cuisine as well as pizzas from the wood-burning oven in the hotel restaurant or on the sun terrace facing the Piazza Grande. The hotel also has a bright, open-plan breakfast room, as well as 2 roof terraces offering great panoramic views of the green mountains. The hotel also has a locked parking room for bicycles. There are also meeting and banquet facilities. Parking is available for an additional charge at Parkhaus Castello, 200 metres from the hotel.

Nice family hotel”
This time the bathroom was outside of my room. On the 4th floor at night you could hear every hour the sound of the heating. Otherwise it was very nice again. Specially the terrace I appreciated. See you again, not at the high season.

Bad choice”
We only chose this hotel because it was the only available one in the Easter weekend for the region. Overall the experience was rather disappointing, we were placed in a small room, much smaller then advertised on the booking page (was <10sqm). The hotel was old, the breakfast buffet offered a very limited selection, and the hotel restaurant did not allow any extras or any modifications to the menu, also the restaurant did not offer all dishes listed in the menu. The service altogether took very long, and there were as good as no facilities offered at the hotel... Apart from the location, nothing really speaks for this hotel. Maybe the expectations were set too high, but we were disappointed by the hotel. We will rather look for a private accommodation next time if all hotels would be booked again...

A great place to stay in Locarno center”
It’s an old but nice hotel in the historic center of Locarno. The staff spoke english and german, no problem with that. We got a bigger room than we booked (apartment) and all was fine, only thing that bothered us a bit was the design metal object installation on the neighboring Palacinema building - it looks nice but makes a horrible noise when it gets windy (and it was veery windy during the night of our stay), but that is not the hotel’s fault. The breakfast was a typical european hotel breakfast, so we knew what to expect. An espresso for the breakfast would be nice instead of a filter coffee, but the neighboring table asked for some and got them, so I guess it’s on request. We also ate in the hotel’s restaurant and were positively surprised, the food was good (we had pizzas and pastas), no complaints. And the price was also fine compared to the rest of Switzerland. It’s not a fancy hotel, but if you came to enjoy Ticino instead of spending time inside hotel, very recommended!

The hotel is very well located in the heart of Locarno, on Piazza Grande. It has a great terrace on the top floor, open to all guests, friendly staff, clean rooms and a great breakfast buffet. We will most probably come again.

nice room, however noisy at night due to location”
we liked the hotel, however as we were there over the weekend it was very noisy till about 1 am. the hotel is located on the piazza grande, so there are numerous bars around... bed was too soft for our liking. the breakfast had a wide choice of breads, cheeses, cereals etc. very good. nice walk up to the Madonna del Sasso with beautiful views over lake.

Great location for such time of year”
It was quite a short stay for us on the way to Milano, and we were completely satisfied with what we've got, first of all, due to the very central location. Inspite the discounted rate we've got it still seemed to be slightly overpriced - for this season, but if compared with prices of other hotels in this town - still - maybe ok.

Hotel Propre mais sans charme”
L'Hotel Dell Angelo est situe au centre de Locarno, dans le centre historique. L'hotel est propre et correct mais manque de charme. Lors de notre sejour, les clients etaient tous des personnes tres agees (probablement en voyage organise de groupes). Donc nous ne recommendons pas cet hotel a de jeunes couples recherchant un sejour romantique.

Das Einzelzimmer war bei Ankunft um 15.00 noch nicht parat. Ich wurde ohne Entschuldigung gebeten (nicht eingeladen) , noch eine halbe irgendwo etwas trinken zu gehen. Das Einzelzimmer ist winzig und minimal eingerichtet. Das Bad/WC befindet sich nicht im Zimmer und ist fensterlos und nicht belüftet.

Lage ist optimal mittem im Zentrum, das Hotel hat erstaunlich viele Zimmer, angeschlossen an ein grosses Restaurant. Ich hatte Glück und bekam ein riesen Zimmer für mich alleine. Ja, es ist etwas veraltet, aber für diesen Preis und Lage wirklich unschlagbar
