The price was great bc it doesn’t have the resort fee that makes other places more expensive.

The family-oriented apartments at Desert Rose Resort are a great alternative to staying on the strip at a fraction of the price. One-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments are the standard here, and they come complete with a full-sized kitchen, so home preparation of meals is a nice alternative to many expensive restaurants that Las Vegas is absolutely filled with. There are nice little perks here such as complementary parking. Many people prefer to avoid the masses that are typical of the massive resorts on the strip, and if that is what is desired, particularly if traveling with kids, this may be the perfect location.
The newest addition to the property is Ellington’s Bar and Grill, offering cocktails and savoring light meals in a relaxed atmosphere.
"Kids loved the heated pool, spa and fire area."

Worth the price for family”
Great resort with kitchen and living room as well. Is like a small apartment. Plenty of space. Plenty of towels provided. Is located beside hooters hotel. Located somewhere off The Strip. Walking distance to The Strip which is 15 min walk. As this is a timeshare resort, there is no housekeeping unless you pay a nominal fee. For just 3 days 2 nights no housekeeping is fine for us. No breakfast provided. But you can walk to New York New York hotel for Shake Shack. Awesome burgers served! Is able to see MGM Grand from desert rose resort. They have nice lobby decor. Parking is free for hotel guests which is important as there is no free parking at the strip.
Nice quiet and peaceful resort not too far away for the Las Vegas action”
Desert Rose is an ideal location for a group with small children. It is in a quiet and praceful location yet is just a short walk to the Strip. The hotel facilities are well maintained and lots of free parking for hotel guests.. The only cons would be lack of a good restaurant (however there are decent restaurants outside the resort) and a shuttle that hotel guests can use for the hot summer months. We'll definitely stay here next time we visit Las Vegas.
Value for money, Excellent customer servic”
Stayed at Desert Rose Resort for 3 nights and I would say, it exceed my expectations. The customer service is excellent and the 1 bedroom suite is fully equipped and i would say, the resort team has thought through of what customers wants coz I find it all within the suite that i stayed. Kitchennette was superb as they even equipped you with everything u need including blender, knives at many sizes, all type of other cutleries etc. Among things that i like is their breakfast as they have free flow starbucks and also soft drinks! Location wise, it is not at main road of The Strip but just few blocks away..and for those who wish to have a quieter place to stay, this should be the place. I will definitely want to come and stay at this resort again next time!
Nice location, good size rooms, kitchen. A bit noisy though”
The Desert Rose Resort offers a good location very close to the Las Vegas strip, located next to Hooters (low stake Black Jack) and the MGM. Rooms are clean, have a well equipped kitchen and very comfortable bed. On the downside, the soundproofing is not all that. Seeing that they are also remodeling in 2017 this might make some disturbance unavoidable.
Quiet oasis walking distance to the strip”
Great, peaceful apartments close to the strip. Staff very helpful & friendly. Lovely pool area, never crowded with plenty of beds & parasols. Bbq facilities to use. Bar serves good breakfast & lunch meals. Felt very safe with excellent security. Apartments very spacious, has full sized kitchen with dishwasher, dining area & lounge & balcony. Refurbishment of rooms starting next week & plans for this look fantastic. Our second visit to desert rose & didn't disappoint. Was very relaxing to come back to beautiful quiet apartments after being on the busy strip. definitely recommend.
Great location, very comfortable rooms and excellent facilities. The resort is immaculately clean amd the staff very friendly. We have been to Las Vegas many times and our first time at this venue and much preferred the peace and quiet the resort has to offer with the benefit that you can still go out the the Strip to shop and party which is walking distance. Thank you for a fantastic stay.
A lovely value for money hotel”
Was very impressed the moment I first stepped into the hotel. The front desk staff was very welcoming and helpful and was very happy with the standard of the 1 bedroom suite that I stayed in. The room was very clean and cosy and well furnished...felt like a home away from home! Also, the hotel location is within walking distance to the Strip. It is good to return to the peace and quiet of the hotel from the hustle & bustle of the Las Vegas Strip.
Desert rose is a nice resort it has a nice little pool area the room and bed were very big and nicely done our only downpoint would be that the air con is a little loud in our room, but we would definately stay again especially for the price compared to other resorts
It was like going home after long days of festivities. ”
It was quiet and didn't smell of casino smoke. Had everything needed to make a home cooked meal. For once I didn't need a day to recoup from a vacation when I got home. It was like I was home the entire time I was in vegas. Thanks Desert Rose!😆
Good value basic resort”
This is a very nice resort walking distance to the Strip.. Right next to Hooters and about 10-15 min walk the South end of the Strip. We walked to MGM, Mandalay and Luxor no problem. The rooms are very functional and kitchen well stocked. Very comfy king size bed. The area around the pool looks very nice. Overall, it is not the classic style Vegas property but it ticks all the boxes for comfort, comvenience and value
Book this Resort due to great reviews, and price I got at the time. Everything went well, clean property, rooms were nice. Bed was to die for, very comfy. Everything you need in the kitchen. Sofa bed was comfy too. Bathroom was very small. My only succession would be to have a better breakfast offer to the guest. We ate at Coco's just around the corner which served good food. The air conditioner was loud when it came on, which made it hard to hear the TV. Quiet location, off the strip. Walking to strip about 10minutes. Overall, this is a good hotel. Friendly staff.
Excellent value. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff (even agreed to print out Go Las Vegas passes at no extra charge - these passes are also recommended/good value for money to see a few shows etc.). Pool and BBQ area great, son used gym a few times though we spent most time going out in Vegas. Room had all facilities wanted including cooking facilities (hardly used!).
Not your typical Vegas Hotel”
We enjoyed our stay at Desert Rose because we were able to have a comfortable and relaxing stay. The hotel is at least 10-15 minute walk from MGM Grand (at a slow pace) so make sure you are ready to walk. The rooms are vet spacious and comfortable, although it is semi-open air and since we were there during winter we had to wear our coats everytime we go out of our rooms. We liked the fact that they serve different breakfast options everday. Over-all a good place to stay for big families as long as you are not afterthe Vegas vibe and do not expect to have eay access to casinos.
Such an excellent place where to stay and enjoying Las Vegas,Very hi professional and friendly peopl”
Very close to everything !! This is the best place that you can find it in Las Vegas, near the strip and very very quiet zone, because there aren’t casino there . Highly recommended !!
It was good.”
The Desert Rose had good and bad things. The staff was friendly. The location was great. The sofa bed was not great and the location of the toilet for the whole family is in the master shower which meant that the master bedroom was Grand Central Station of the family walking back and forth.
Nice friendly hotel ”
a very nice compact apartment resort, greeted by lovely smiley staff, nice two bed apartment fitted kitchen good sized lounge small balcony, situated towards the back of the strip in a fairly quiet area away from the noise etc of the strip which is appx 10 mins walk away, continental breakfast included in the price so very good value for money very enjoyable stay
Great place to stay”
We both loved the Desert Rose. The staff were very friendly & helpful. Rooms were older style but very comfortable & homely. The breakfast was delicious & the concierge was so helpful & friendly. Only minor negative was that it is a bit of a walk to the strip.
The Desert Rose was a quiet respite from strip”
My stay at the Desert Rose was a good value for the money. The interior is a bit dated and could use some modernization. It was a little annoying that the door to the bedroom and the door to the closet hit each other. That said, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The front desk staff were accommodating in holding onto my luggage and providing access to safe deposit box even after had checked out.
This hotel is less than a block off the strip, but it is still close to everywhere you want to be. It’s also away from all the noise you don’t want at night. The price was great bc it doesn’t have the resort fee that makes other places more expensive. The 2 bedroom suite was great bc we all wanted to stay together in a group.
Spacious and comfortable room”
The hotel is near the strip but it can stay away from the crowd of the strip. So, the location is great. Besides, the room is spacious and comfortable. Though breakfast was not included in my booking, the breakfast was complimentary and thus I can also enjoy the breakfast.
