Cheap but very worthy. Good location. Three great supermakets within 5 minutes walk. A Chinese restaunt just outside the gate to the right offers takeaway. The double bed is only 1.2m, kinda a single bed but with 2 pillows. The only annoying thing is there are millions of ducks or geese at the back yard that make violently annoying noise even in the early morning.

Clean except for clogged drainage at the wash basin. Good location 15-20 minutes walking to the city centre. Next year there will be a tram stop nearby. No soundproofing but my neighbours were calm. Expect some noises made by door shutting. Food and drinks are not allowed in the room. The take deposit of 100 pounds at the check-in. Bed are not comfy at all. No cleaning service. There weren't soap, shampoo and towels in the bathroom, only toilet papers.

The bed is very small, impossible to sleep 2 people comfortably. Me and my friend, two girls of small size, almost did not fit in the bed and we had very uncomfortable nights. So, if you are in a couple and measure more than 1.60cm, do not stay at this hostel.

The accommodation is basic but efficient and comfortable enough, rooms are not really suitable for more than one person but the bed is generous for a single. Some of the elements in the kitchen did not work, and it’s annoying that toasters cannot be provided. I think it would also be nice if the cleaners visited the rooms at least every third day – I wanted to remove some crumbs and threads from the towels from my floor but there was no vacuum cleaner available.

Despite the high nightly rates during the Fringe Festival season, basics were charged as extras. For example, a towel rental is 3 pounds (there are no towels provided in the rooms). Checking Out at Noon instead of their 10:00 am check-out time is 10 pounds extra. Leaving luggage with the staff on the day of departure is charged as 5 pounds per bag. I would have appreciated these extras being spelled out clearly in advance of my booking. The mattresses are old and soft, and the walls thin enough to hear normal volume conversations in the adjoining rooms. No food is permitted to be brought into your room. The one positive was that the staff was friendly and helpful.

Very good if you are looking for a place to stay where you can cook. When I booked this hotel, AGODA says this has air-conditioning unit but the studio unit does not have.

Clean, but not good value for money”
The positives. Very clean. Location is not faraway from city center. The negatives: very expensive compared to the state of the property and location. You pay extra for towels, hair dryers, and luggage. This was not mentioned when I reserved. Location is not too far but you need to get transport if your stay is short and you would better use your time. For the same price and extra costs you better reserve a 3-4* hotel with breakfast.

Paper thin walls, charges for soap and towels (£3!). The heater was on high during summer. we couldn’t sleep because it was so hot/window barely opened and had some kind of lock on it. We considered sleeping outside where it was warm but significantly cooler and breezy. Ironically, friends stayed in another of the Destiny couple rooms in Leith same night and had same complaints.

Very dirty place... my original room was changed because I found pubic hair on the bed, and the room were we we changed was even worse. I stayed in a student residence previously and was very nice and I was hoping to have similar experience. However it was the very opposite
