Perfect experience in every respect ”
Fabulous location- near fort and near the centre of town but a quiet oasis due to high hotel walls All rooms amazing, bathroom attached and big window All of hotel spotlessly clean Staff very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable Great restaurant with tasty food and fabulous view of the fort Highly recommended this hotel- faultless!!!
The building is very unique and nice. Especially the rooftop where you can get a chair, a drink and enjoy the amazing view of the town and palace. Staffs are genuinely friendly and helpful. I was there during off peak season and I was the only guest for two days. It feels I'm visiting home of a close friend. Definitely will come back again one day.
Best place in Bundi”
This was our favourite place to stay in Bundi. A lovely hotel and because there were no other guests in off-season, we got upgraded to a better room which was great. Also great food upstairs and helpful staff who all speak good English.
Very nice place, but empty :(”
The place is absolutely beautiful, the rooms are very nice and the food is great. The staff is very polite and efficient. I cannot say anything bad about this hotel. Unfortunately for me and the hotel I was the only guest during most of my stay. I hope you all come in your multitudes!!!
Good bang-to-buck ratio!”
What a lovely little place! This old haveli has been well-maintained, and I had a very comfortable stay. The roof-top restaurant has a perfect view of the palace, and catches the refreshing breezes. The staff couldn't possibly be more helpful and welcoming! I'll definitely stay here again when I visit Bundi.
Beautiful Haveli. Amazing views from resteraunts.
Unfortunately, this was the worst value and worst quality of service hotel we have stayed in during our two week trip around Rajasthan. We had arranged to have a pickup at the rail station where we arrived after dark. The manager at the hotel completely forgot and we were left standing there with our bags in the dark and empty station except for a group of touts who saw us as an obvious target. Eventually, after half an hour of waiting we arranged our own transport to the hotel, but it was an uncomfortable start to our visit to Bundi. On arrival we were greeted by the new manager, who is originally from Udaipur, and (rather unprofessionally) regaled us with how much he hated working at this hotel in Bundi and how he wanted to go back to Udaipur. He didn’t know that we were arriving or how many nights we were staying, and it all came across as very sloppy. The room was too noisy to sleep in the food in the restaurant was mediocre the water was not hot and staff were unfriendly
Clean and comfortable hotel in the centre of Bundi.
Like stepping back in time”
Magical place tucked into a side street. Has a small restaurant on the roof that looks out over the hills. Clean rooms and clean linen. A great environment to end a day walking around this little gem of a town.
what a fantastic hidden gem. everything was perfect and the staff so incredibly helpful and friendly. I arrived the day of the annual kite flying festival and had such fun experiencing it on the rooftop terrace of the hotel. This is a lovely hotel that offers great value for money, I'd return in a heartbeat
beautiful and clean hotel”
The basic color of this hotel is white and many miniature paintings are hanged on the white wall. And I could enjoy the very style of Rajasthan Haveli with inner court, fountains and open lounge shown by photos. The room is also very beautiful. I think it is a representative hotel of Bundi. The location is very close to the Garh Palace and it can be seen from the roof top and from the restaurant of the hotel. I enjoyed dinner watching the palace. Not only the room but also everywhere is very clean and the staffs are very kind and helpful. As soon as I asked something, they did it for me. I really want to stay at this hotel again.
Excellent hotel in amazing location!”
We loved every minute of our stay in Bundi- an incredible town with few tourists and a fascinating history. The hotel was in a great location, and the restaurant has the best cook in India!
Clean Atmospheric Haveli”
My first haveli stay... am impressed by the atmosphere achieved by the predominantly wooden furniture and cleanliness. View from the roof terrace is good for a sundowner but food lackluster. Major issue is staff really needing training on customer service... Got absolutely no support booking an autorickshaw to train station at night or even breaking a 500rupee bill into small denominations... With money, any haveli can be spruced up to look atmospheric but what is an atmospheric haveli without the guest centred service?
We loved Dev Niwas - the staff were great! the room was small - we did reserve a standard - there are other larger rooms but we only paid $20 USD a night. The location is amazing and the rooftop restaurant was great - so great we didn't eat anywhere else and that is not normal for us!! If you make it to Bundi you have to stay here!!!
Beautiful heritage hotel in a perfect location for the lovely historic friendly town of bundi. Room with comfortable and pillow. Fabulous view of palace and fort from restaurant which serves great food. What makes this place so nice is the staff. Helpful available for your every needgracious and friendly. The place is peaceful too.recommended.
Bundi is massively picturesque but pretty filthy, so the clean and sparkling Dev Niwas is a welcome retreat. Staff are fun and friendly and the main atrium is delightful, with its frescoes and plants. Rooms are fairly basic, with little storage space and no TV, but it did not bother us, as they were clean and the beds comfortable. The restaurant boasts fantastic views of the Palace and serves tasty food. Finally, a mention for Rajdev, the concierge, whose beret gives him a military air and inspires the thought "the army is in charge, things will go well". Well, the army wasn't in charge, but Rajdev was, and things did go well. (An afterthought, though - no fault of the hotel, but Bundi is full of brass bands that often play all night. Take ear plugs).
Beautiful haven in Bundi”
Dec Niwas is an oasis of calm. Lovely, traditional rooms around a well maintained courtyard really takes you back in time. Staff are very helpful. Only complaint is wifi was patchy. Restaurant on the roof very good also.
Best in Bundi”
A wonderful building, spacious rooms and, most importantly, excellent service. Manager Raj and staff do their best to please. We were there for the Bundi Gustav annual festival, which I recommend too.
Beautiful place but be careful of bedrooms without windows ”
Staff very nice, beautiful place, clean, but ask for a room with window or AC As it is extremly warm inside (one of us slept on the roof terrasse) Nevertheless I have been sick and the staff has been very comprehensive and let me used the room after the checkout
