Our stay at the Deville @ Healesville was just awesome. It was located about 5 mins out of town, which meant that it was quiet at night. There are only 4 rooms which makes it small and peaceful. We used the balcony to have breakfast and took in the views of the surrounding hills. Breakfast was a nice surprise with a good range of cereals and bread available. The owner also kept the fridge stocked with eggs from his chickens and a range of fruit juices. The room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was good and the shower was spacious. Overall this hidden gem is a wonderful place to stay in the Yarra.
Amazing. Simply amazing!”
We traveled there for honeymoon just two weeks ago - it was the perfect place, with the perfect environment and perfect staff. We enjoyed every minute we were there; the only word of warning is that things in Healesville run during the daytime, but it was so tough to leave the deVille to go into town! Breakfasts were make-your-own, but with delicious local bread, eggs from the chickens on-site, and Yarra Valley jams, spreads, and butter, it was pretty perfect. Perfect all around!
We loved our stay at DeVille and would definately go back! The owners were lovely and our room (De Sunset) was beautiful!! So spacious and had everything all in one. The spa next to the open fire over looking the Valley was a highlight. The breakfast was a nice touch and everything was extremely clean and seemed newly renovated. Perfect spot for a relaxing weekend ! Thanks again for having us :)
We loved our stay at DeVille, the setting was beautiful and peaceful and it was everything we expected it to be. The massage was heaven and the staff were fantastic! We will definitely be back!
honey moon trip”
Was greeted with a warm welcome .The place is huge & clean, scented with nice villana . what got me shock was that the owner has a kitchen which they prepare with quite abit of breakfasts ingredients which you may prepare yourself. owner has a few of farm animals which we discovered. Its just located behind the healesville sanactury but however the drive quite can look something to the yarra town and some other places
We only stayed one night after our wedding at Yarra Valley but we had a really good experience. Emailed earlier to inform we will be arriving late, was told straightaway no problem. We were allowed a late check out and the lovely owners even left a little honeymoon surprise (balloons & choc tied to our car, freshly laid eggs and beautiful orchids for the missus). We will definitely return for one of our anniversaries and stay a few extra nights to enjoy the tranquility and amenities provided. It has been renovated only 5 months ago, so fairly new - sure hope things will stay the same when we return in the future!! We stayed in the sunset king spa room, been told sunset view will be amazing although we arrived too late to see it ourselves. But the outside views from the room itself is very nice. Thank you for a short but wonderful experience.
Small independent place”
The hotel can barely be contacted. Not reachable on the number they provided (a mobile number), and it's not under Healesville Hotel. The name is greatly misleading.
It very different to normal hotels and motels. unique in a way it has only four rooms and is located somewhere hidden among farms and wineries. Breakfast is simple but ample. Sick of city life, this is the place for you.
Intensive Care Unit: because that's exactly how we felt being able to totally relax, rest & recharge in this wonderful hidden away paradise for 2 nights. De Sunset certainly surpassed our expectations with numerous, thoughtful little touches such as throw rug for snuggling on the large couch, fresh candles throughout & even rose petals on the super comfy bed. Breakfast supplies were certainly adequate & appreciated - affording us the opportunity to cook & enjoy in private when it suited us...even in our loungewear ;) Many great wineries around - great chance to do a little tasting, pick up a bottle, visit the chocolate factory (great ice-cream too) Order some Thai takeaway, take in the amazing sunset from your private balcony & enjoy a spa in a tub that really is built for 2.. Sensational bed, great bathroom with large shower & very well appointed & presented throughout. Wonderfully connecting in every way. We will be back - hopefully in winter to make use of the fireplace too. Dieter greeted us, ensured we had everything we needed & then left us to enjoy it all in private.... which to Us is just perfect.
Quiert, clean and very spacious”
A bit off the beaten track, the location was very nice and secluded. Friendly staff greeted us at the door and it was very easy for us to get in and out whenever we wanted. The room was very spacious, had a nice spa and kitchen to complement the necessities. Enjoyed the spa. Bed was very comfy. Air conditioning was good especially as it was right in the middle of Summer! Had a great time there!
A dream palace!!”
Absolutely a dream!! It was gorgeous. The view was spectacular, the bed was so big, tall and comfy. The spa took a while to fill, but totally worth it. The TV on the wall could be turned from the bed view to spa view. The open fire was romantic and added a lovely warmth to the room. The kitchenette was well equipped and fully functional! It was definitely worth the drive. The view was trees, grass, hills, sheep, dog, chickens and even a lama or two!! Will highly recommend to all our friends.
A very peaceful, relaxing place with amazing scenery ”
Karyn is the hostess with the mostest. The power was cut for maintenance for a few hours &!she made us thermos bottles of boiling water for a cuppa & upgraded our room as compensation. The atmosphere is very homely and personalised. Breakfast was very good & there was even a chocolate to have with our coffee. The communal kitchen is fully equipped. Overall an amazing place to get away from the hustle & bustle of life .
Lovely get away.”
Our stay was great, The man who greeted us gave us the full tour and we were then left to our own devices. It was lovely to have such unobtrusive hosts. The Spa room which we stayed in was lovely and the surrounding areas were lovely and quiet. If you are looking to get away from the city to nature then this is the place to go!
breath taking views.”
It was perfect, clean, quiet and those views were amazing. We stayed in De Sunset room and it certainly lives up to it's name, I've never enjoyed a sunset so much as I did from that spa bath. It feels like you're in your own little world and it was such a nice, self-sustained apartment. Hope to come back again one day.
Beautiful exclusive rooms in the country”
We had the whole place to ourselves for 2 days as there were no other guests. The room was spacious and had a space aged shower. The complimentary breakfast included eggs from their own farm and a range of juices. There were parrots in the trees and rabbits running around the property.
Really nice place to stay. Room was large, bath very nice, common area super with kitchen, dining table and living area. Set in a private, natural area away from all noise and light. Saw kangaroo and kookaburra on property.
A wonderful private , quiet, clean place to stay. A communal kitchen and sitting area that we used but others didn't. Felt like we had the place to ourselves. It was wonderful to be able to self cater as we where on the road for many weeks so loved to be able to cook for ourselves. Highly recommend this place to stay.
our stay on 17/09/14 was amazing. the country side is beautiful, no noise, private and sparkly clean. the owners are to be commended for the loving detail and thought that went in to our suite. will definitely , stay again and the online pics don't do it any justice- much nicer and roomy absolutely divine.
This is a very awesome experience and the home owner was very hospitable and made sure that the stay is great. Clean and the room is very big.
The accomodation was beautiful and clean. Room was spacious with excellent view. Free breakfast provided. No wifi facility though.
