Great stay in Sanur for a night”
We booked Dewi Dewi just for one night as a stopever on our way to Lembongan. We arrived at the airport late and caught a cab to Dewi Dewi. Make sure you bring your Agoda sheet or at least have a phone number for the hotel. The only downside is that it's quite hard to find and our cab driver didn't know where it was. Luckily we had the phone number and he simply called up and got directions. The night staff doesn't speak great English, but were friendly. The room was very clean and bright with a nice bathroom and cold aircon. We just needed a place to sleep for one night and Dewi Dewi exceeded our expectations. They deliver the breakfast to your room at whatever time you like in the morning. It is local food and very tasty. The internet is fast and they have a TV with many channels if you're looking for that. There's a small kitchenette, too, if you are planning on staying longer. Kind of chuckled at the pool, since we read the previous review that called it a 'water feature.' It is quite small, but it looked very clean and I would have taken a dip if we were staying longer. The staff in the day time were very friendly and helpful, and helped us arrange a fast boat to Lembongan with us being picked up directly from the hotel. Great place to stay... would stay again if I found myself in Sanur.

Very Friendly Staff”
We were in Bali for an event at a local school. Not knowing the area I randomly picked Dewi Dewi Villas online due to others comments. I was not disappointed. The staff were unbelievably friendly and accommodating, since we needed a later checkout time. Every time we entered or exited the premises, they greeted us with a smile and a hello. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the area was very peaceful. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for making our time in Bali PERFECT!!

A hidden gem”
Dewi Dewi is set down a gang (lane) that is difficult to find when working from Agoda's map; take the address and phone number in case of taxi difficulties. It's newly built and, as a result, is clean and fresh. Bed linen is immaculate. There's a large flat-screen television, but the channels catering to Western tastes are limited. The bathroom is large with a decent shower. The room has a counter and sink for preparing food, a salad or some-such, but there are no cooking facilities available; however, there's a Fridge for keeping the Bintang cold! The pool is just outside the door of all villas, there are currently two sections comprising five villas in each, both of which have a pool. WiFi woks better the closer to the office your room is, if WiFi is a must, ask for a room close by. Breakfast is brought to the room at a time specified by the guest - quite flexible up to a point. The beach is within easy walking distance, as are local restaurants, oh, and there's the ubiquitous McDonalds nearby as well. All-in-all, in fifteen months on the road in Central America and SE Asia, Dewi Dewi is in the top 3% of the places I've stayed in of its kind.

We had a really great time at dewi dewi villas the staff were great and the room had daily housekeeping, the swimming pool was nice, it was on the small side but it was nice to cool off with. The rooms had air con which worked well and the breakfast was nice and different everyday. They also hire bikes and motorbikes and offer a taxi service, personally though stick with getting them to call a bluebird they work out far cheaper. Couldn't of asked for much more really booked one night and stayed for 2 more. Not far from beach front but it is very hard to find :).

worthwhile despite the distance”
Overall, it was a pleasant stay at Dewi Dewi Villa. 1) The location is really not ideal. It is very far in and we always have trouble getting back with a taxi even after showing them the address. However, it's quite easy to locate after 1-2 days of staying there. Just have to spot the place where they hold some ceremony and turn in. 2) The staff proficieny in English is not ideal. Don't expect too much but they are really friendly and helpful. They helped us called for taxi and called for us when the taxi arrive so that we do not have to wait outside with the dogs (there are at least 2-3 dogs outside and I'm afraid of dogs!). there was one night when we returned at 8plus and the pool was "closed" (lights off etc) but my friend and I wanted to have a night swim cum dinner by the pool so we asked if they can on it again and they agreed. 3) Breakfast was indo mie with a sunny side up. I love it but if you are expecting some buffet spread or international breakfast set, then sorry. They forgot about our breakfast one morning. Not too big of an issue, you can always remind them and wait. but if you are like my friend and I who made some diving plans, be sure to grab something along the way!

Thrifty hotel”
I have stayed at Dewi Dewi Villas previously and was a little disappointed this time aoound. The building was built pretty poorly and issues started surfacing, like a leak behind the toilet that no one fixed. Other issues I had were the wifi being weak, possibly because we were located at the end of the complex and the pool being dirty ( had to shower after every swim. You do still get a sizeable room with a comfortable bed though, and TV and couch, for under $30 per night so its not bad for the price. The breakfast was free but a little bit meh. Also, the laundry service was pretty cheap, but took a long time. In terms of the location, it is a bit far from everything so its best to rent a car or a motorbike.

Quiet & peaceful place ”
We stayed at Dewi Dewi for 5 weeks. It was great to have the kitchen in the room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Even when the place was fully booked it was quiet & peaceful. Loved the French toast for breakfast. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at Dewi Dewi.

I think the fact that I've had to write three reviews from the last time we were in Bali at Dewi Dewi Villas sways a lot in itself. We use the place as a cheap and inexpensive base to go to everywhere else from. The Staff a re great (like most places in Bali) but they also will go the extra mile...which is nice. The place is small and still being cvompleted really (with half of it still half built..I think its been like that for years actually..(but that looks like it actually next door anyway thanks to careful use of low Bamboo screening walls). WE like the large rooms, the comfy beds, the big bathrooms, the very clean rooms and the cheap rates...negative for most are the location, but to us we have never been phased by that...often its how you find a gem...and this one, although not a diamond in the rough, is a good garnet.

Excellent value”
We have visited Dewi Dewi a number of times over 4 years. This last time, the place was looking a little tired - some damp showing on the walls of the room and lots of scuffs and general wear and tear from lots of guests over the years. Bathrooms do need a good scrub! BUT... the staff are lovely, very helpful and the hotel is quite peaceful. Represents excellent value for money!

Nice hotel, quiet location”
The villas were quite nice. Fairly large rooms, quite clean and good amenities. Small pool was nice for a quick dip to escape the heat. It was about 10 minute walk to the beach or the night market. We enjoyed this area since it was away from the noisy tourist areas but still quick to the beach. It is a bit tucked away and could be hard to find, our taxi driver had no trouble and once we were there it was easy to find again, some people may get lost navigating the alley ways. Google maps has the wrong location so be aware! The breakfast was small, but quite tasty and very reasonable for the price we paid (18 Can or 200k rupiah). Staff were extremely nice and helpful, as is the norm in beautiful Bali. Wifi was weak in our room, didn't work very well. Some of the clean towels seemed stained, but they seemed to have been washed.

Great value for the money, huge rooms ”
I enjoyed my stay extremely good at Dewi Dewi. For 200,000 IDR a night this is luxury for cheap! Took 5 minutes by bike to central sanur shopping/bar street but totally OK.

Relaxing stay”
Really enjoyed our 3 night stay here. The rooms were clean and comfortable and nicely designed. Breakfast was simple but tasty and was delivered to our room. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Pool is more of a water feature and not the best for swimming. Liked to location as it was close to sanur but far enough away to be very quiet in the evenings. However the hotel is hard to find and there are quite a number of dogs on the alleyway on the way to the hotel which didn't make walking any fun at night. I would advise getting a taxi.

This is my third stay on Dewi Dewi, its a good place to stay for group because it has semi private pool. The location is a bit hard to find and you definitely need to have vehicle to get here. The room and especially the bathtoom is not as clean as the last time we stay bere but is acceptable.

Quiet, Clean & Convenient ”
Great little place close to Sanur. Tucked away in the back streets, but quiet and convenient. The rooms are a good size with sofa, TV A/C etc and a good little kitchenette. Good little breakfast brought to your room. The staff are extremely helpful and willing to go the extra mile. You can rent a bicycle which is good value and Sanur is flat. There are 2 pools and a bale to chill.

beautyful,comfortable,clean but not easy to find”
This hotel is beautiful,comfortable,clean but not easy to find. I spent almost one and half hour to find it,and finally the staff pick me up by motorbike. But the room is soooo comfortable that I nearly won't go out when I laid on my queen size bed with A/C condition. And it is near by the center of Sanur that you can go out by walking, but the better way is rent a bike.

Great stay! Was awesome to arrive at a hotel/villa and have it look just like the pictures online. I was thoroughly impressed with the cleanliness of the accommodation. Breakfast bought to the room every morning and was always pleasant, rooms cleaned daily, great pool. A really nice place to stay. Highly recommended.

Fantastic value for money”
Great little place tucked away down a narrow winding road, so can be quite difficult to find the first time. Might be a good idea to have the map loaded up on your phone so you can show the taxi driver how to get there (Google Maps location is accurate). Once you've walked around the area a little bit you'll have no trouble remembering how to get there or giving directions to your taxi :) The day staff are fantastic, friendly and helpful. The guy who takes the night shift is not as fantastic, but he is still good and helpful. His English is not the best so if you have special requests I would suggest asking the day staff where possible. The rooms are split into two sides, left and right, each with their own small plunge pool. Every room has its own porch area where you can have breakfast, and is quite private as it's closed on three sides so you won't have to chat with your neighbours if you don't want to! The wifi during my stay wasn't working very well, it was really hard to connect and it seemed that the router on the left-hand side where my room was wasn't working, so to access the wifi I had to move around to the right-hand side to sit by the pool there. (Not a big deal but could be inconvenient for some). I ended up getting an Indonesian SIM card for really cheap anyway (approx USD$5 for 1GB data) so didn't have to worry about wifi after that! I stayed here three nights in total, and would definitely come back again.
