Unexpected Gem, Cosy nice hotel!”

cosy, sexy, central

“Unexpected Gem, Cosy nice hotel” Our stay from April 7th to 9th April 2013 Room: after spent 13 days in Italy & 3 nights in another Rome's hotel. Dharma Hotel really impressed me and my most comfortable stay for my last 2 nights in Rome. I booked Dharma Hotel based on tripadvisor reviews and surely it didn't disappoint me. Just a note (especially for Asian), the double room's shower room only comes with glass door and open concept. Incase you are with friends or family members (you can't be too self conscious of your body.. haha). I like ceiling's shower (Dharma Hotel has it!) and the Keiji brand of aroma bath & shampoo gels really smell good (luv it!) Safety: I feel safe in this hotel. You are only accessible to many doors through the two different keys gadgets from the hotel. Breakfast & Food at Cotte Restaurant: they serve standard Itatian breakfast BUT with Creativity. It does brighten up my day! We had our 2nd night dinner at Cotte. The food was just so marvaleous. I like the roast lamb and the salmon salad (really so yummy!). Highly recommend! Tip: check the restaurant's Promo Poster. They offered main course 20% and hotel guests entitled 10%. So better take the restaurant offer! Conclusion : I will definately stay at Hotel Dharma again! Good location & cosy! Great for couple!

Splendid city break”

The hotel is an easy walk from the termini train station. When we got there we were greeted at reception by a very friendly member of staff who showed us on the map where the main sites were, how to get there and some useful tips. The room was very clean and well presented. The utilities provided were what you would expect and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was a good selection of cold cuts, cereal, fruit and eggs and bacon. Coffee and tea was also available but what made the morning was the friendly and approachable staff member who made us any coffee we requested. Most sites can be accessed on foot within comfortable walking distance but for going further afield the metro is a few minutes walk away. Overall a brilliant experience and I would definitely recommend the hotel dharma to anyone wishing to visit Rome. Thank you.

Nice spacious room with fantastic staff”

Room, people and location

Arriving at the Termini station, it was about 10 minutes walk to get to the hotel; fairly straightforward route. When we arrived at the building, we took the lift up to the Fifth floor where the reception was (we realised later on that the bigger suites were on this floor as well), we buzzed the reception and was immediately attended to by the friendly staff. They seated us while they processed our check in which was quick. The kind lady then ushered us down to the Third floor where the Junior Suites were and showed us the security functions. She then proceeded to show us to the room, we were given room 307 for our 3 nights stay. The moment the door was opened, we were pleasantly happy with the size of the room, it had a nice entry way leading to the main room where the bed and shower room were. The toilet and sink were conveniently tucked behind what we thought was a wall but in fact was actually a door, hiding the washroom behind it; quite ingeniously designed. The whole layout of the room was great, and it was spacious with lots of room to maneuver around. The large bed was comfortable as well, as was the nice and big shower room with Turkish bath facilities, offering walls of space to have a lovely wash at the end of a long day. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Dharma, who even helped to organise a "Vespa Tour" with a friendly local guide who came to pick us up from the lobby of the hotel. Thanks again guys!!

Wonderful Hotel with nice staff”

Strategic location, cozy room and friendly staff

It was wonderful stay at Dharma Hotel, firstly the staff was so nice to arrange the cab to pick us up at the airport. once we checked in the hotel, we been upgraded to bigger room as we only booked for standard room. I liked the room very much as it have cozy design with some Rome signature picture in room, a very nice bathroom with separated toilet, bathtub with rain shower that we enjoyed shower very much after the long walk whole day. The staff also explained to us in details on how to walk around in Rome, by just 5 minutes walking distance to Metro we could easily get to the destination. The room is wonderful, clean and spacious for us to walk around and for our big luggage as well. The wifi also good for us to surf internet. For the complimentary breakfast, we had it in a restaurant downstairs a few steps next to hotel and they serve vary choices. The hotel is nice for stay and we definitely will stay here again for our next visit.

Great location, near to sights/transport links.”

1) location - walkable to nearly everything; or by a bus stop or metro station as an alternative. 2) Room was gorgeous, with hot tub & steam room. 3) Staff very helpful

We had a fantastic 3-night stay at the Dharma hotel, booked a Suite Deluxe and given one of the Wellness Suites so expected the hot tub and steam room. Room was to an excellent standard and the hot-tub and steam room were a welcomed treat after lots of walking around the beautiful city of Rome. The rooms with hot tubs & steam rooms aren’t cheap in the busier months but it was a special treat and glad we paid the extra. Minor points are: definitely take or ask for ear-plugs as the road noise is rather noisy in the morning (as I’d read in a previous review), and for a fairly expensive room the coffee/tea tray was rather disappointing (poorly stocked with only 1 non-decaff coffee and just 2 milks) and I’d have expected at least a couple of bottles of complimentary water each day. I’d read somewhere that the suite rooms get a breakfast tray with snacks – that certainly wasn’t the case. However, great stay, highly recommend. Location brilliant. We walked everywhere, apart from a couple of easy bus journeys to the Vatican and taxi to Travestere. Staff really helpful, help-yourself breakfast good, and Cotto is does great food in the evening.

Excellent location and cleanliness and style”

Very good boutique hotel in down town of Roma

We had very good experience at the hotel. It was exceptionally clean and convenient in location. It is located just outside of station Repubblica, which is one station from Termini, where you can take trains to anywhere you like. The hotel is located in an old building which houses another boutique hotel. Staff was kind and they were responsive in emails and solving your problems with the room or luggage or restaurant booking. One staff taught me some Italian words too when I told him I am learning Italian ! I specially like the breakfast , served in the restaurant downstairs called Cotto. Breakfast was very rich and delicious , buffet with homemade cakes and torte, fruits and ham and eggs. We stayed in a room with hot tub. At the same time there is a separate toilet. The only inconvenient do was that the tub was small so big person may have difficulty to get in or out, unless he or she opens the glass screen at the tub. Bath amenities were great too. It was aromatic shampoo and bath sets. The bathroom door was beautiful, with a picture of Zeus at the Trivi Fountain, which was artistic !! If I visit Roma again, I would love to stay in this hotel once more.

Location Location Location”

Location - Brilliant - 2 minute walk to the central station - access to metro (duomo 6 minutes away) and cross country trains (i took the train to Rome) . walking to the duomo 35-40 mins. Safe despite the large number of people lurking around the station. Google maps showed other directions for starhotels anderson, so for the first time, make sure you punch in the full address, it is literally across the central station. the room was tidy and well maintained, the staff were very very friendly. my only complaint was the air conditioning. it was really unaffective and warm at night. it was my fault for not mentioning it to the hotel, but we used to come back so late at night, that i couldnt be bothered to wait for it to be checked and sorted, but regretfully suffered through it at night. maybe if we mentioned it, they would have checked it out. but we faced the same issue in our hotel in rome, so maybe its just how it is in italy :)

Near train station. Walking distance to the shopping area.”

The hotel is very centrally located. It is near both the Termini and Republicco station, which makes it accessible to the two train lines in Rome. The service of the staff was good, and they helped to make small group tour bookings. A great plus was the proximity to the small tour meeting points.

Location”

We had 2 rooms booked for my family of 4. My daughters had the larger Classic Standard room with twin beds and myself and wife had the Small Standard which faced onto the mail road. This is a fabulous little hotel in a great location which is so convenient for all the major sites. It’s 5 minutes’ walk to the Repubblica Metro stop and 10 minutes to Termini Station. The hotel is on the side road to Via Nazionale on which you can walk directly to the Colosseum and Alter of the Fatherland. In fact it is quite easy to walk to majority of the sites from the hotel. We walked to Spanish Steps and Trevi as well. There is an restaurant adjacent to the hotel, Cotto, where an excellent breakfast was served. On the main Via Nazionale road there are many more restaurants, cafes and shops. Some open late. The rooms appointed to us were just perfect. Modern design with pleasing fittings. There was mini bar/fridge and a safe. A HD flat screen Tv with Sky channels in English.

I can say this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in Western Europe so far. We were deeply impressed by the services offered by Hotel Dharma staff. They replied my enquiry very quickly before I stay at this hotel. Staff is pleasant and the room has high-speed wifi which is very important to us. spacious stylish and cosy hotel with friendly staff speaks English very well

This is the honey moon and first time travelling to Europe of my husband and I, despite quite a lot of not too good comments from friends about the hotel of Europe, but we are delighted by that of Dharma. When we arrived hotel it was around 2.30pm in the afternoon, the front desk staff nicely prepared the room in around 15mins for us. She leaded us to the room and gave us a detailed introduction of the room. While the staff of evening shift was so nice that they provided take away breakfast to us upon request immediately for our early check out on the other day. Apart from the delighted service, the room is perfect. Clean and spacious, not to mention the well designed washroom with 2 sinks which is perfect for couples or family travellers. The huge door of the washroom is a nice picture of scuplture of Rome. It is high ceiling and with large window facing the street. Surprising it was not noisy at all, if it is noisy, travellers can put on the ear plugs provided. So sweet of the them. Bed is very comfortable and we enjoyed our staying very much. Washroom amenities are Keiji and are good too :) It is located 10 to 15 mins walk from Termini, but I still recommend it to travellers because I believe it is a high standard stylish boutique hotel of the district.

Lovely hotel with great location”

good location ie .2 minutes walk to the nearest train station Repubblica.

Hotel is very near to Termini Train Station as well as Metro station, Repubblica. Check-in area is at 5th floor and the staff is very friendly. The room though was not big but is more than enough for couple (exactly the same as the picture). The room is very nice and new. Security is quite good as there were 2 access card/device to enter to the room ie. 1 at main door and 1 at the room floor. Although breakfast not much selection at Cotto Restaurant (situated next door) but pastry and the cappuccino was nice. Highly recommended this hotel.

Great Staff and Nice Room!”

1.) Great Staff 2.) located close to transportation 3.) Nice rooms

During our stay, the staff was extremely helpful in making recommendations around the city for food, tours, and anything else we needed. The rooms were very clean with a boutique hotel feel. The breakfast was good and we really enjoyed the italian yogurt and espresso every morning! This is a fun hotel with an attentive staff that all spoke English very well (much better than my 'italian') which really helped us out the first few days in Italy. We would recommend to any couple looking for reasonable price hotel, close to transportation throughout Rome, that might need some recommendations on navigating/eating during their stay. We had a lot of fun and would go back if we are lucky enough to visit Rome again.

Good location, service and security”

The hotel locates at a very convenient place where you may walk to Roma Termini station in 10 minutes, to Republica subway station in 3 minutes and to the closest bus stop on Nazionale street in 1 munute. There are many restaurants and shops around the hotel, but not so noisy. The hotel has an entrance security, which ensures a safe environment. The hotel staff is kind, and the room is modern and clean. (The shower room door is not tight enough so the water came out of the shower room and the floor outside got wet a bit. This was a problem, but not a big deal.) It has a good WiFi connection and air-conditioner as well. The breakfast ,which is at Cotti located at a next door, was very good.

Really enjoyed our stay here”

Boutique, Style, Generous Room Size (for city centre style hotels)

We stayed for two nights here in mid September. The rooms are spacious, stylish, and, well enjoyable. We've never stayed at many boutique style hotels before but we enjoyed this thoroughly and would have stayed another two nights (on top of the two we had planned) if we could have. Its hard to sum up but we just enjoyed our stay! Nothing wrong to report; it met and exceeded our expectations, good value (IIRC we had a discounted price). Only minor (and I mean - minor!) gripe would be that we didn't have many English channels on the TV, but that could be down to my inability to find any. Anyway, we didn't go to Rome to watch TV We were allowed to check in early on the day too as we had arrived earlier than expected so I'd like to thank the hotel staff for their assistance in our late request.

fine option with competitive pricing in good location”

One of the assets of this hotel is its location. The property is within walking distance of Termini station and many major attractions, and it is also near a subway stop. Areas for shopping are nearby. Our standard room was very compact in size, but we were happy in any case. Everything was so spotless clean that it seemed new. The bed was very comfortable, and we had plenty of pillows and cushions. We enjoyed the flat-screen TV with programming from multiple countries as well as the complimentary coffee and tea. We had a small closet with a nice safety-deposit box. The design of the bathroom (and the shower as well as the amenities) was an unexpected highlight. We were impressed. During our stay the weather was rainy, and the hotel lent us pretty umbrellas. We were pleased with the breakfast buffet. All staff members were courteous and professional - and they all spoke English as well. We would consider ourselves very fortunate to be able to return!

Most of the hot spots in Rome are in walking distance of 25 minutes. ”

We enjoyed our stay of 7 nights there. The hotel is close the the Termini Station with a walking distance of 5 minutes. It takes 15 minutes on foot to Colloseum and Trevi Fountain for example. A subway station is very close. The hotel seems to share an old building with other hotels etc. but we did not suffer from it. Our room was very modern with very high ceiling. utilizing an Italian old building and providing us very spacy feeling. Breakfast was fair and good enough for us. A room safety box was available though it had not been indicated on the Agoda ste. The WIFI Internet was a bit slow particularly in the morning and evening. The staffs of the hotel were always very helpful.
