Incredible Service”
I have to thank the staff at Diamond Crown for their 5-star service at a budget hotel. Really incredibly helpful and friendly with great English skills. Always smiling, always going out of their way. At check-out, a member of housekeeping noticed that I left shirts in the closet and rather than just pointing it out, he took the shirts out and carefully folded them for me. I have never had such good service at much more expensive hotels.

Reasonable hotel for business trips”
The Diamond Crown hotel is a new business hotel (only opened early 2014) and is very close to the worn out Panda hotel, where many business conferences are held. The management and staff of the hotel are very helpful. The internet is working fine, if slow. Breakfast is a buffet breakfast with real coffee and continental and Asian style options. The bed rooms are quite large. It is cheaper to book the hotel directly, not through a hotel booking website.

New and Basic”
Brand new and bugs still being worked out. Business folk from Asia and sub-Continentals the likely clientele here. Location a little far for western tourists on their first (and probably only) time in town to walk and gawk and photo the sights of the land that time forgot. Rate is likely to go up soon as they get a following and join the hotel price collusion. Rooms basic, nothing high-end. None of the little things are right here: slow, slow elevator, one breakfast food option, bathroom cleaning not good, no light blocking curtains, internet not reliable. Maybe management will get things right, but this being Burma, we tend to doubt it. Positives are traffic noise is relatively minimal (although construction is underway next door) and several good restaurants close by. This hotel can be recommended for a couple days if your budget permits a five-dollar-a-day cab outlay to get you to China/Hindu/Muslim Downtown to gawk the sites. After experiencing all the new hotels recently opened in Yangon, we're looking forward to the arrival in Yangon of the branded hotels. In the meantime, the Diamond Crowns will have to do.

Very pleasant surprise”
Only open three months, Diamond Crown is very clean and pleasant. But it has some teething problems: erratic lifts; credit card machine did not work at check-out time (not unusual in Myanar); no protection against shower splashing in bathroom; only Asian breakfast; limited English satellite TV. Staff were attentive and tried hard. Mostly Chinese guests from Hong Kong. Hotel is not yet known to taxi drivers, but this can be managed and will improve. Staff seemed interested in improving services, and open to suggestions.

Great staff. Both friendly and efficient. Not the most modern building but very well maintained. Standard rooms, bigger than usual in Yangon, well lighted. Great bathrooms (clean, modern, great water pressure) Breakfast is very good (many choices). Restaurant is so so Surroundings are ok, a few shops. Good store/pharmacy opposite the road.

Well, everything is fine while my stay, but the worst thing is the bed, is too hard and no closest for the clothes..rest the break fast was not to bad, and the hospitality of staff to your needs is great..was great, i would love to stay back unless things has been changed..
